Though we be married to another we are still to be faithful to Christ (God's words) and we are to also bear good fruit unto God, notice in red......

[SUP]4 [/SUP] Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God.

Again bearing good fruit is not something we do to be justified. We bear good fruit because we are already justified and made righteous by Christ who now works in us. NOT OUR OWN WORKS, BUT CHRIST WHO NOW WORKS IN US.

But if Christ truly works in you, then you will produce good works of righteousness. A good tree will bear good fruit. :)
Amen...well said! We are saying the exact same thing. We are being faithful to Christ by believing in His finished work for salvation and not our works of righteousness.

This is why we preach Christ! it's only in the hearing of what He has done that we have faith to walk out who we really are now in Christ. His fruit is bearing in and through us.

We don't conjure up good works..they are a by-product of His life in us.

How we started in Christ is the exact same way we live in Him now...by grace through faith in His completed work alone.

Colossians 2:6-7 (NASB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him

[SUP]7 [/SUP] having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
