I dont think adam and eve were aiming to 'achieve posterity' or their children. I think they just multiplied because thats what God said they were to do. They werent thinking that far ahead.

anyway it is possible that God did the rib trick on Cain as well as Seth, because its not stated that Eve had daughters, but later on it is said that their descendants had sons AND daughters. So they could have married/had children with their cousins.
All God did was to let Cain or Seth fall into a deep sleep and then did what He did with Adam before, I repent for trying to infer something I have no idea about and happened thousands of years ago.

The only challenge to that is that with the creation of human beings the Bible clearly states that THE CREATION WORKS WERE COMPLETED AND HE ENTERED INTO HIS REST which means he never created again, creating a new wife included.

what do you mean God never created again are you trying to limit what God can do...He might have rested on the seventh day and made a bit more on the eighth.

Plus God has never stopped doing miracles

What is the meaning of He entered into his rest? This is where the rib out of Seth and Cain theory fails the test. Did He create again after the Seventh Day?

I agree and that is why I was trying to tell everyone the law against murder was given in the Torah but Cain had already committed it so it is in an individual's conscientious knowledge of good and evil, from the first sin where the voice within tells us we have done something wrong, the law was just to reinforce but everyone knows the moral gravity of their actions from the inner man, the knowledge of good and evil from within.

When Adam and Eve ate that fruit, the knowledge of good and evil became revealed onto them hence they needed no law to remind them of what was good and what was evil. God however holds every soul to account for their actions prior to the knowledge of good and evil because their was a commandment to them not to do the act, so the law and the conscience of good and evil complete one another, the law existed with God prior to creation of Adam.

Isn't it amazing how laws are an intrinsic part of God's creation. He creates and then gives the creation some law to abide by and consequences for breaking those commandments. He creates them and gives them authority first and then a commandment not to eat from a certain fruit. and then his plan follows where an adversary cast out becomes the first opportunity for those laws to be broken, same adversary broke a law in heaven and was cast out, I think laws are eternal, they have always existed with God since eternity.
Yea, I believe the laws that exist with God's word ensure that the environment around it guard its purity. Wherever God's word goes forth, whatever is contrary to it is proscribed.

The law was to add some perfection to what was already existing, the conscientious knowledge of good and evil, and also because the Lord was gonna pay the Israelites visits, he had to make sure they are pure for the angelic hosts being sent to the house of Israel.

Neither situation was “desperate”. It was all within God’s plan. He designed the human genome with sufficient breadth that procreation with one’s sibling early on would not have presented any problems. It’s anachronistic to apply the modern concept of incest to those situations.
Amen. Well said. If God tells us to do something on Monday, we do it. If God tells us not to do that same thing on Tuesday, then we don't do it. Rather simple, actually. :):coffee:

God told some of his prophets to walk down the street naked and marry prostitutes. It was not a problem for them because they sought the approval of God and not men. Remember the day that Abraham took his son up the hill? Just do WHAT God says WHEN God says.

Isaiah
20:2 At the same time spake the LORD by Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins, and put off thy shoe from thy foot. And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
20:3 And the LORD said, Like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years [for] a sign and wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia;
20:4 So shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians prisoners, and the Ethiopians captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with [their] buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Egypt.

Put yourself in Amoz's shoes and imagine its you being told to do that in the streets of New York, would you?

Hosea
1:2 The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, [departing] from the LORD.
1:3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.

That is why most men get a bottleneck into the kingdom because God requires things they wouln't afford to do in sight of men, walking naked, even me, in this present world full of Cameras and internet, I honestly cannot.

You need to loosen up and get yourself free, my man.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Imagine Amoz doing that today in this world where information is captured from one corner of the world and reaches antarctica research facilities in less than 10 minutes, you could be the laughing stock of the world for years.

Isaiah
52:14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:
52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for [that] which had not been told them shall they see; and [that] which they had not heard shall they consider.

53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.
53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
53:5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
53:8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
53:9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither [was any] deceit in his mouth.
53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
53:12 Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
