I don't know the accuracy of this research, but new scientific research concluded:

Quake reveals day of Jesus' crucifixion, researchers believe
Jesus, as described in the New Testament, was most likely crucified on Friday, April 3 in the year 33, geologists say. They base their conclusion on a review of seismic activity.

This passage is not describing his resurrection, but the fact the resurrection has already occurred. The stone was rolled away in order for witnesses to see.

I'm not using that passage to describe Jesus resurrection, but to prove clearly that Jesus had already resurrected before early Sunday Morning.

Yeah in the middle of seven years, not seven days. By the way the crucifixion day was not misty. There was no "mist".
At this point you just ignoring Daniel the prophet or really don't understand prophecy. But that's your lost, but for you to change words in a verse just to be right is sad! But we living in a world where up is not up and down is not down.

Go educate yourself man, look up the seventy week prophecy. Any source you read will tell you that it was 490 years not 490 days. It is you who’re being ignorant and stubborn.

Here we go again. The Bible is used as a science book.
‘Why does the length of time in the tomb matter to you all?

To me what matters is the resurrection and the promise that he will come again to judge the living and the dead.

From Wed. afternoon to Thurs. afternoon = 1 day
From Thurs. afternoon to Fri. afternoon = 2 days
From Fri. afternoon to Sat. afternoon = 3 full days.

Jesus arose on Saturday sometime BEFORE dawn on Sunday.
You did it again Jeff.

You have Jesus rising during the fourth day.

From Wed. afternoon to Thurs. afternoon = 1 day
From Thurs. afternoon to Fri. afternoon = 2 days
From Fri. afternoon to Sat. afternoon = 3 full days.

On Saturday just before sunset is three full days and nights. Jesus cannot rise after this time because that is a fourth day resurrection.

Do you understand that three full days and nights concludes before sunset on Saturday?

1 Corinthians 15:4
And that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

According to Paul that was the gospel.

So we likewise, proclaim the Christ rose on the third day, not after the third day.

Scripture cannot disagree with scripture.
ALL scripture must reconcile or your understanding is flawed, not scripture.
Jesus spent 3 full days and nights in the tomb AND rose on the third day.
This is how we test scripture against scripture. Don't they teach that in Sunday School?

I can, however, get on board with Wednesday being the preparation day for Passover (John 19:14).
This would mean that the meal Jesus ate with his disciples was not the Passover meal.
It would, indeed, make Jesus the Passover Lamb. That makes sense AND I don't know of a definitive scripture on the last supper being a Passover. Most of us think that it was (but that doesn't prove out in scripture to my limited knowledge).

Why do these details matter to you all?
Was it 11:59? Was it 12:00? Or 12:01 perhaps?
Also, what Time Zone was it?

You are right, of course. This is really just bickering about minor details.
There is no way we could reconcile these verses anyway because the Jewish calendar isn't God's calendar.
The one they use is a Babylonian Lunar calendar. Has been since the usurpation of the Temple by the Hasmoneans (Samaritans).
The Levite priests were exiled and continued to preach (and Baptize) in Bethabara. We know it as Qumran.
Just look at Mark 14:12 where the first day of unleavened bread is before Passover.
Truth is the foreshadow of Jesus' crucifixion can be seen in Abraham sacrificing Isaac. That was the covenant.

Go educate yourself man, look up the seventy week prophecy. Any source you read will tell you that it was 490 years not 490 days. It is you who’re being ignorant and stubborn.

This is not just for you but for every one to see and understand this prophecy of Daniel 9:24-27.(Verse 24) "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon the holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy." (Verse 25) "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times: (Verse 26). "And after threescore and two weeks shall the Messiah be cut off, but for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined." (Verse 27) "And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

Now in verse 24, Gabriel informed Daniel that seventy weeks are determined upon his people. That put the time far beyond seventy literal years. To be more accurate, he talking about seventy times seventy years, which is equal to 490 years (7x70 = 490 years). Within this period of time, the temple had to be rebuilt, Jesus had to be anointed (Anoint the most Holy), then he had to die for the sin of the people (make reconciliation for iniquity) and seal the vision and the prophesy. What vision you ask? The one concerning the people and the city of Jerusalem.

Daniel 9:25 tells us that from the time that the commandments is given to restore and rebuild Jerusalem unto the Messiah the prince (to the anointing of Jesus), shall be seven weeks, threescore and two weeks (69 weeks = 483 years). The restoration of the temple and the city of Jerusalem started in the days of Ezra and Nehemiah. It took them forty and six years to build the Temple. (St. John 2:20) "Then said the Jews, forty and six years was this building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?" Take into consideration that the city had to be restored also, to which we can attribute the other three years, which make up a full week of years (7x7 = 49 years). In verse 26, this week of years was not counted, because it said, "After threescore and two weeks the Messiah was cut, (62 weeks = 434 years). Add the seven weeks back on to this 62 weeks (434 + 49 = 483 years), and will get the amount of time that had to pass between the commandments to restore Jerusalem to the anointing of Jesus (Messiah means the anointed one).

Now that we understand that it took 69 weeks to bring us to the Messiah, there is only one week left, (1x7 = 7 years), and this is the week. Jesus didn't start his ministry until he was 30 yrs old because that is the law. Jesus taught the people for 3 1/2 years and was cut off, but not for himself. So that leaves 3 1/2 years left, which Jesus will continue teaching after the great tribulation, when meet the people in the wilderness. Let's go into the future in Ezekiel 20: 33 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you: 34 and I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out. 35 And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. 36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: 38 and I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

I learn that this knowledge and understanding only goes to those who seeking the truth.

You have a specific interpretation that you apply. How about you leave out the insulting verses.

The only true way to assess whether a person is a Christian is the love they have for others.

Insulting other Christians is a dangerous path to walk and I would strongly advise against it.

That cannot be true, of course.

Jesus cannot spend the third full day and the third full night in the tomb, and also rise on that third day.

You do not see the contradiction in what you preach.

The verse you quoted, "Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon the holy city", only applies to the nation of Israel. That is the strict context for Daniels prophecy. Hence, the 490 years must be consecutive years and applicable only to the nation of Israel. I do not think it would be wise, to attempt to apply the remaining week to any events outside of Israel. Unless of course, you know where that week is applied.
