....That's not what the passage in question says.

You're letting King James language fool you into thinking the text says something it isn't saying. That passage is simply saying there is no law against the fruits of the Spirit like there ARE laws against works in the flesh (i.e. sins). The passage isn't saying, "against the fruits of the Spirit The Law disappears", which is often how that passage is incorrectly taught.

Galatians 5:16-23

"So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious:

- sexual immorality (sin = breaking the law)
- impurity (sin = breaking the law)
- debauchery (sin = breaking the law)
- idolatry (sin = breaking the law)
- sorcery (sin = breaking the law)
- hatred (sin = breaking the law)
- discord (sin = breaking the law)
- jealousy (sin = breaking the law)
- rage (sin = breaking the law)
- rivalries' (sin = breaking the law)
- divisions (sin = breaking the law)
- factions (sin = breaking the law)
- envy (sin = breaking the law)
- drunkenness (sin = breaking the law)
- orgies, and the like (sin = breaking the law)

I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is:

- love (No law to break = no sin)
- joy (No law to break = no sin)
- peace (No law to break = no sin)
- patience (No law to break = no sin)
- kindness (No law to break = no sin)
- goodness (No law to break = no sin)
- faithfulness (No law to break = no sin)
- gentleness (No law to break = no sin)
- self-control. (No law to break = no sin)

Against such ^^^things^^^ there is no law [to break]."

Please, anyone who needs clarifications on "Fruits of the Spirit" Look at this and pray. This is not a lie to deceive you...this is the truth that is to set you free.

Thank You Y

Dear Marcelo,

As long as a man follows another man, it is as the blind leading the blind." Religions are all mens rules on how to beleive, behave, shun, accept. This is exactly what Jesus liberated us from. If you request a list then you once again put yourself under a mans rules rather than Gods Holy Spirit.
Asking Law-keepers to provide us with a list of effective Mitzvot is the same as asking a flat-earther to show us a map of the "flat" Earth.

Asking Law-keepers to provide us with a list of effective Mitzvot is the same as asking a flat-earther to show us a map of the "flat" Earth.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Matthew 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Matthew 5:23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
Matthew 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Matthew 5:25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
Matthew 5:26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matthew 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matthew 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matthew 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
Matthew 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
Matthew 5:33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:
Matthew 5:34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
Matthew 5:35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
Matthew 5:36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.
Matthew 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.
Matthew 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Matthew 5:40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
Matthew 5:41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
Matthew 5:42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
Matthew 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 6:2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Matthew 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
Matthew 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Matthew 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Matthew 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

15 Consider also that our Lord’s patience brings salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom God gave him.

16 He writes this way in all his letters, speaking in them about such matters. Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.

17 Therefore, beloved, since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you will not be carried away by **the error of the lawless** and fall from your secure standing.

Yep.

When are you going to stop doing those things?

You need to stop judging what you are doing yourself.

Has anyone looked into how many laws govern where you live? How about the codes involved in home building/ownership? Automobile ownership? I've looked online for my area and can't get a precise number. I found an article that stated: January 1st 2010 saw 40,627 new laws on the books in the USA. Anybody care to take a guess? I'd say a couple million or more.

Some of them deal with mold removal.:)

Isn't that amazing! That's a lot of laws! The torah deals with mold removal too. Is that why you mentioned it?

When Jesus mentioned how His yoke was easy and burden light, our legal system makes the Torah a breeze, simplified yet again with the entire Torah summed up in the two greatest commandments!

Just as a gift is given, it can also be thrown away.
God does not give throw away gifts .If he begins the work of salvation in a person he will finish it. Some taste and say, no way . . they are the throw always.

Different lumps of clay for different purposes.

The Messiah keeps making it easier and easier, even giving his very own Spirit to help. But "Oh what oppression the law is!" It just goes to show that The Law is truly Spiritual, and will always be rejected by the flesh. Because there's no natural, logical reason that anyone can give to explain how Yah's law is MORE difficult than our own society's laws by comparison.

Yes

But it was flawed in that not one sin every was atoned for or forgiven according to the priesthood.
That's debatable and deserves it's own thread. 1 Tim 3:16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Tho I don't completely understand, I accept by faith this great mystery of the love of the Father, of the Son, the suffering love, the Word says it I believe it. It does seem that in the Old Testament though, there are many verses that indicate they were forgiven.
“I will forgive their iniquity, and their sins I will remember no more.” (Jeremiah 31:34). Isaiah 1:18: “Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” told to Isiah: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sins purged” (Isaiah 6:7).

Yeah he does make it easy

Stop trying to follow the law. And instead follow him, by taking the love he gives you and share tha love and be empowered by it

Or continue to put yourself under law. And continue to fail. And give up. Or lie to yourself that you are following it.

Look at those verses, they are all future tense.

I believe They were fulliled on the cross.

Hebrews says that the priest daily keeps offering the same sacrifice which can never take away sin. This is what I mean myself when I say the arronic priesthood was flawed.

the reason they try to re- define everything is very simple, the center of their theology is Sabbath keeping. they build everything around it.

deade said earlier that " the army of satan is attacking the fourth Commandment. he chastised us for giving so much weight to the Words in Red.

in my opinion, they all think similar things, but try to " say it without saying it".

I mean, we point to Christ, they shout " Law , Sabbath"

it is very clear what they worship. where their treasure is, that is where their hearts are. and the words they type clearly reflect that,

It is the mistake the jews made

They think they are ok.. because they follow the law and do not commit certain sins.

The same error the jews made. They could not see it either.
