Not sure why you addressed me on this but ok. I am positive you did not go through and read the posts previous to it because if you had you would not have written this to me, unless I don't know what you are saying.
My apologies,you are right.

I'm not a law-keeper, but I still haven't found a single piece of evidence -- in the Gospels -- that Jesus ever told us to stop keeping the Law. Should we rely solely on what Paul said?
Jesus was very clear about that: You have heard the law says ... But I say... The law is for the Jews (Jewish faith I mean) and the Spirit is for the Christians !

What seest thou?

Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

If the law is put in the heart and mind. His Word being in the heart and mouth how say you the law is for the Jews?

First of all, this was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, a Jew, to the house of Israel! Second, the prophet of God said “my laws” not the Law of Moose. The requirements to observe the Torah, be circumcised and so on are for the Jews (Judaism) not the Christians. As Saint Paul said: you are not under the Law and no one is justified by the Law before God. If you want to be a Jews then good for you. In my case, however, Christ is my master and he set us free from the Law. Long live to Jesus !

When I go about comparing it with the Hebrew and Greek they did a pretty good job to me.

I repent for my sins and it is by the Blood of the Lamb slain, I am washed clean. Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Indeed, purifying is not by the law. The purpose of God's law is only to give us a knowledge of what sin is when broken (Romans 3:20) and to lead us to Christ that we might be forgiven by faith (Galatians 3:22-25). It is the blood of Christ the cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7.

Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 11:17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?
Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Im not sure If your Interpretation of the scriptures I posted are In agreement but IMO they are harmonizing.

Hi Deigh Ann,

I've been studying the Bible, and this is what Romans 10:4 says:
''4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."

Hope this helps!

The purpose of the law is to bring you to Christ.

The law ALWAYS shows you your sin and nothing else. But that's not its ultimate purpose.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

In every way, Christ is the end of the law for Righteousness to everyone that believes.

But do you see that caveat? To everyone that believes. What marks those who don't believe? They work at the law. They don't believe Christ has fulfilled the law. They believe they must fulfill it. They don't believe they've been given rest from their work at the law, they must continue to work. They don't believe they are dead to the law. They believe that is heresy and lawlessness, not understanding Christ or His Rest.

Nice to see a fellow dispensationalist on this board! Some of the participants here considered it a heresy to believe the words you have stated in bold but hang in there.

Are you more of an Acts 2 or a Mid Acts dispensationalist?

Are you an Acts 2 or Mid Acts?
Hi Guojing,

I've been studying the Bible, and II Timothy 2:15 says,
"15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

So what I do is rightly divide the word of truth.

Proverbs 11:14 says,
"14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellers there is safety."

My council is the word of God!

And I Corinthians 10:12
"12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall."

I want to have a balance, and rightly divide the word of truth. I see it like a tight rope walking. I need to keep my eyes on the rope or I Corinthians 10:12, I'll fall.

The grace of our Lord's Jesus Christ be with you!

Sounds like you do accept the Hebrew and Greek text that the KJV is based on, cool!

James is talking in Acts and he says
Acts 21: 24. Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law. 25. As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.

James concluded that they observe no such thing. No such thing as what? The thing he said at the end of the previous verse, "keepest the law".

Yes, We are freed from being enslaved or bound by the law for our salvation, our belief in Christ and His blood sets us free of it, yet the law itself, doesn't go away. The law doesn't bring us righteousness, Jesus does but not one jot or tittle of the law is destroyed.

From the thread did JESUS ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?

Matthew :16-19
King James Version

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

But how can man keep the law (GODs perfect standard of righteousness) perfectly?
+++
Romans 7:12-15
King James Version

12 Wherefore the law [is] holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
+++
Romans 3:21-24
King James Version

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22 Even the righteousness of GOD [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

The Law was for Israel. To keep the Law, you need to be circumcised, be Jewish, do works, and offer an animal sacrifice.

Romans 10:4 says,
"4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."

Galatians 3:24 says,
"24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."

Romans 3:25 says,
"25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"

Now we are in the Church age, where Christ died for our sins, and Romans 10:4 says that Christ is the end of it.

Once you are justified, you can do works because you love God so much, that you want to show Jesus how much you love him. Under the Law, you did works because you had to, not because you wanted to.

Galatians 5:22 says,
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

I got saved a few weeks ago by the blood of Jesus, and I do works, not to be justified, but because I love God. Once you are saved, it is not wrong to live for Christ with the fruit of The Spirit, and do works, because you know that you cannot compare to sinless perfection, and that Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again the third day, according to the scriptures.

God's grace be with you!
