If you are realizing you are a sinner AFTER you are saved, there is something majorly wrong with your thinking.

The law was supposed to bring us to this point BEFORE we are saved, and this is why we call out to God completely broken, like the tax collector.

After we are saved, What we learn is how truly deep a sinner we really are. And not because the law is training us, But because we are learning more and more the character of God. And how our minute by minute decisions can be sinful, or fruit-bearing, and we do nto even have to break the law for it to be sin-full.
As a believer, walking with Jesus, we discover sin every time we commit it.
And realising our need for love and grace continually is part of our walk, looking to Jesus and the cross for
forgiveness and inspiration.

I notice this phrase "magorly wrong with your thinking" - is it possible from one sentence to understand
anothers thinking process and approach and then to try and correct it. It takes a lot of audacity to do this.
Or is it arrogance. What I have learnt from the most talented and learned individuals, one can just put
put forward a proposition and call others to look at it to agree or disagree.

The reason is whatever may or may not be wrong in their thinking, the individual needs to think it through
and maybe come to a different conclusion. We cannot think for them. Unless one follows a cult where brain
washing is the norm and you just agree or else, zzzzzzz. You can often tell who comes from that school of
thought :)

And those who follow this approach I will always gently point out, hoping others will agree based on the
demonstration of the argument, Praise the Lord.

Had to open up all posts. He just agreed with one of the worst offenders in CC when it comes to stirring up things
I think this about says it all..
Here is a joker. On a forum people share their perspectives. The great thing about perspectives is they
are not right or wrong, they are just that, the individuals perspective. If you come to slap people about
and tell them what should be said or not said, that is stirring things up.

And what these guys hate, and I mean hate, is people shinning a light on their game play. Domination is
the method, and knocking others down. Just look at what the pharisees did against Jesus. They tried to
catch Him out all the time. But these guys are like a chicken coop while claiming to have a valid argument.

Like saying we can rest in Christ, be yoked to Him and do nothing. Obviously not many farmers here who would
fall off their chairs to suggest such a thing. You yoke two animals together so the new animal can learn from
the experienced one what to do and how to work and pull the load. It is always about work and objectives,
not holiday and fun. So I just say, God bless, Amen, praise the Lord, because His work never ends, Amen.

Greeting FollowHisSteps,

I note that you do not address people other than to show their posts in your reply, If you would prefer me not address you please just say so.

I have felt your sincerity through your posts and cannot agree with the careless, even slanderous characterizations from many posters on here.

So I ask myself how I could sleep if I spoke so harshly of a brother. The only answer I could come up with is if I no longer had a conscience, it would have to be seared, hardened from continual rejection of the Holy Spirits lead to stop and REPENT! But I do not think they practice repentance, Do you?

2Pe 1:3-15 NIV His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (4) Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. (5) For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; (6) and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; (7) and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. (8) For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. (9) But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. (10) Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, (11) and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (12) So I will always remind you of these things, even though you know them and are firmly established in the truth you now have. (13) I think it is right to refresh your memory as long as I live in the tent of this body, (14) because I know that I will soon put it aside, as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me. (15) And I will make every effort to see that after my departure you will always be able to remember these things.

I hate to say it but your wise selection of scripture, Holy Spirit guided I am sure is like a collection of pearls! I would ask you if the following verse might be appropriate for just a couple of them.

Mat 7:6 NIV "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.

Just for the record

The man you are talking to

1. Has been banned from this sight at least twice, and is here against the forum rules
2. Is one of the worse offendors when it comes to slandering people
3. When he is called out for his slander, He blame shifts. And refuses to take credit for any sins he commits. He always blames everyone else.

There is a reason not many respond to him, Most have him on ignore.. .

We are either working for or against Him, but we are all working. It would seem that those who claim all you do is believe and you're done, work just as hard if not harder than anyone else. There are most definitely two opposing sides. I have yet to see anyone in the middle unless I am being set up for the "kill" on down the post. But that is ok. The strange thing is, is it makes my study so much more intense when I feel I am digging in to defend Gods Word. Kinda like Pharaohs heart being hardened to teach......

Okay, I just haven't seen or sensed that yet. Hey, if he does it again then we can discuss it then. If you wish to provide copies of posts to support your assertions I would look at them only if you also include any and all posts that may have been offered by him as a form of repentance too.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone could repent, have our memories erased of past offences erased like our Creator does for us through Jesus? I think we are to love others like He does us. I know, not easy, we develop roots of bitterness! Those roots of bitterness are a BEAR! I know personally. EG try to let them go.

One of the best things about repentance through the blood of Christ? When we realized we have sinned and it is hurting our spirit and soul, we can immediately ask for forgiveness through that awesome Gift From Above the Blood of Christ, and being instantly washed clean, and we feel it, in our heart and mind and we may in the very same conversation, ask God for the help and wisdom we need to come to terms with it, forgive ourselves and walk away a smarter and better person and have our light shine a bit brighter, moving on to find another one of His children and plant a seed. Awesome.
On tuesday in our house group, I realised how Jesus completes us and His beauty shines out through
each earthen vessel. Without Him, we fall flat, with Him we are complete.

We all know this when we see Jesus testifying in the heart of someone, sharing their experience and
reality in their hearts. When we are born into the Kingdom it is not like we need to learn about the
Kingdom, rather we need to learn the words to express what God has put in our hearts.

It is what also makes me wonder at so many, when this simply does not echo with them.
But praise the Lord, this is not my problem, I am just called to bring light and love, and shine in
Praise of Him.

That man has been here for many years under a few names, and was banned for breaking the rules of this chatroom. Just the fact he is here is a sin, because he is not rendering to the leaders as God demands.

If he confessed and showed fruits f repentance, that would be the most amazing and wonderful thing we have witnessed in awhile here. And everyone would shout for joy.

Sadly.. Some people just continue to do the same stuff..

I am just trying to warn you thats all.. most of us refuse to give him an audience, he is empowered by it.. But you can try,, Of course he agrees with alot you say, so you may not see it.. you have to be open..

No one claims all we have to do is believe

So once again, PLEASE STOP TRYIN TO TELL EVERYONE WHAT THEY BELIEVE.

TRUE living faiht is what Saves. Mere belief will not save anyone. Many people believe, yet will not make it. As james said, even demons believe, it takes more than mere belief.

I think we all want a solid foundational understanding of the process and timing of:

Gods Calling
Our Godly sorrow
Our Repenting
our acceptance of Unmerited Justification for our redemption from sin
our being baptized in the Holy Spirit
Our process of putting away the old man including:
Conviction (more Godly Sorrow)
Repentance
Forgiveness

There's more my dogs are going crazy! Deer in the corn and sweet potatoes!

I think it is foundational to know at which point salvation is given, the man or woman is born again, and we are sealed with the spirit who is our gaurantee up to the point of the day of redemption (ressurection day)

Otherwise,, How are we going to know when we are saved, and start relying totally on jesus, and emptying self. And seek his ways and stop trying to earn his love?

John said, he wrote his letter so we can KNOW WE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE and through this knowledge CONTINUE to believe in his name

Why does John declare our ability to have faith is dependent on our knowledge of the fact we HAVE eternal life?

Just for the record, we are commanded not to bear false witness against another.
An accusation without evidence is just false witness and a sin.

You need nothing more to be shared to know the heart of someone who sins while
trying to hurt another.

I know when someone gets this desperate where is the Holy Spirit and self control.
I hate to use the concept this is like an own goal, but in simple christian terms it is.

We are called to love our enemies, to understand and empathise, to walk in forgiveness
and grace. But you know the heart when someone is shaken a bit, what falls out in
an unguarded moment. God bless you.

There is something here.
It is this idea of repentance. In their language I am meant to change my mind and agree with God.
Halleluyah I am agreeing with God.

I do not hear shouts for joy, because this is not what they mean. It again is the double thinking and
standard applied all the time, and makes it all meaningless, but creates a great smoke screen and
tumult. I wish, sincerely, they knew how these approaches and ideas do not add up, ever.

I would be humbled to have the Lord regard me in this way.
Thank you for this blessing. And truly Jesus will say this to all the elect and
equally to you. Not because we have earnt it, but because we opened up our hearts and let
Him transform us and teach us.

At our house group, different believers shared their ups and downs, from walking
in victory and closeness to God, and wondering if God is really there.
It is a wonder He manages to keep us close to Him, but He does.

And through it all, our Lord is our friend and Saviour. And to meet brothers and sisters
in Christ is always a blessing, even in the midst of others, and strange contentions.

God bless you.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 25:14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
Matthew 25:15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Matthew 25:16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
Matthew 25:17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
Matthew 25:18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
Matthew 25:19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
Matthew 25:20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Matthew 25:22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Matthew 25:24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
Matthew 25:25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
Matthew 25:26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
Matthew 25:27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
Matthew 25:28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
Matthew 25:29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
Matthew 25:30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
What does this mean to you?

This raises a good point. How do we know we are in Jesus?

John said
3 We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands.
4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1 John 2

17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring--those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus
Rev 12

22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.
23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
1 Peter 1

When you start on a long walk, do you ask am I on the walk? No. You ask how far have I gone
and how much further there is to go.

Salvation is the walk, it is not a gate along the way and once passed everything is safe.
That would be a joke. From the beginning of time God foreknows our walk and those who
will walk the Way and those who will not. Our staying on the path testifies to our calling and
our presence with Him. Each day my heart sings with the Lord in grace and love.

Do I need to know more? I think not.

I agree FHS,

I wasn't looking for EG to bring evidence against you. I love him too. I just wish he was able to sense how a root of bitterness is plaguing him and us. The admonitions are clear to seek peace and foster kindness. We are all learning, EG too. That alone is a humbling factor that we are in the same boat.

Don't tell any Baptists! They will condemn me and then come over for a drink!:)

I think even EG knows many of the things you share are good and profitable, but he wont receive i due to what he perceives as bad history.

After being on here for a while and all the abuse I feel I have to go to a bar to get some respect and fellowship! ;) I don't drink though, or not much. Well a little when family visits. I make wine and have nearly 100 bottles put up. in the last 5 years I think have had 2 bottles. But if a friend or family visits I don't mind if they get relaxed.

Not to long ago let my dogs out and they were doing the same thing. Looked on the video next day and there was a bob cat crossing the driveway casual as you please. I almost think he was actually teasing them trying to get one of them to chase him, looking for a midnight snack.
