That is compelling.
Does that mean the text in Gen 2 could be translated .....and man became a living creature.? Or could have omitted the word 'living' and not lost meaning?
i think rather that all the half dozen or so passages in Genesis where 'nephesh chaya' is written should be translated "living soul"
living "creature" is a wrong translation IMO. i think it was from a humanistic vanity that men called it one thing when it refers to mankind and another when it refers to other living beings God created, even tho the Hebrew says the same thing in every instance.

i would say the word "living" is in the text as it was given to us. it shouldn't be omitted. and i would say "nephesh" should be translated correctly and consistently: soul
if that changes the way we view some things, well, we ought to be conformed to the Word, rather than conform the Word to ourselves ;)

2 Corinthians 4:18

"For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal"

via Uriel Anderson

You seeing the connection to particles being temporal ..and waves being eternal?

If physical sin isn't allowed in God's Kingdom, how was the tree and fruit represented to Adam and Eve? Was is made of Angel sin which isn't physical? Is the link to this physical fallen reality Satan's sin? Are we swimming in Satan's sin and need Jesus to get out of here?

Sin is a matter of the heart as much or even more than it needs to be physical.

Please read your Bible. Pray for understanding.

We have a soul and body today, but were we just a soul beforehand?

Mind–body dualism sounds like wave-particle duality to me. Would that mean we were quantum waves before sin?

Does sin have something to do with physical objects?
I thought about this question too. But first is the soul physically tangible?

I believe we had both body and soul upon creation even before sin entered. However I do think death of the body was introduced after sin. Therefore we have a different type of body then Adam and Eve had.... Mutation and deletions of DNA had caused the degradation and decrease lifespans.

Thinking that sin created the physical world gives the Devil credit for what God did. God created this world not sin. See Genesis 1&2.

What sin did was introduce a cancer....normal cells becoming abnormal and greedily taking away from what God did not intend for them to have (eating the forbidden fruit).

This place couldn't be here without God. That said, physicality is not what God wanted for us. Entropy is a thing here.

Corruption was not present until Adam sinned.

Another of your contradictions:

God can do anything, but He cannot create a physical universe without entropy.

The God of your vain philosophies is not the God of the Bible.

God hardwired entropy into creation in hope. Meant to reveal the dignity of the children of God.
Romans 8
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

It is Satan that is going to cause the torture in hell. You don't get to blame God for it. We chose to be under Satan's rule in this fallen reality and if you stick around after Judgment Day, he is going to take out his anger on what he hates most ..humans.

Physicality leads to death ..Satan

In order for us to think LIKE God, in His image, our souls had to be eternal. You are choosing who you want to follow in this reality.
Our soul accesses something infinite to function in the physical brain.

If an eternal soul is required to think like God ..what do you think happens to a soul that doesn't want infinite order (peace)?

The soul is eternal, it has to keep existing somewhere. If it choses to remain in disorder, that is what it is going to get.

We are experiencing the choice Adam and Eve had but from within the fallen reality. We are choosing disorder or order.
Adam and Eve got us into the mess, but we have the choice to get out of it with Jesus.

John 14:3
"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

via Kevin Stewart

Could this mean physical bodies made of sin are not compatible? Jesus can obviously freely swap between types of environments.

Not Biblical. God alone is immortal. One must be born again of the Holy Spirit of God to attain to life ever after.

Eternal means without beginning or end. Only God can make that claim for Himself. Created beings cannot.

NO creature can claim to have always been but can claim to always be. Eternal primarily means changelessness. You seem to confuse the fact that God being the source of immortal life that there are no immortal creatures. Only God is immortal means His existence is not contingent on any other being. It doesn't mean there are no immortal creatures.
