1 Corinthians 3:16-17

If we defile the temple of God ..we have/are the mark of the beast ..and God will destroy ..JUDGEMENT

Christ taking on the curse removed satan's automatic claim on us to be our father.
We still have to open the door to Christ for Him to be our Father.

Colossians 3:10

Renewing our Spirit fixes our image/likeness/perception of God.

I think the main problem here is the implication that it is by our effort that we open said door. When if you want to use the opening the door analogy, it would be the Holy Spirit opens the door and then takes you by the hand and walks you through said door.

Can people give themselves a new original sin? Is this why it is necessary to get right with God?

Did Jesus die for original sin, but we have to join Him for our individual sins to be added to the cross?

Did original sin become the first sin we each individually cause?

Is spiritual death our own faults then?

Are babies clear from being considered fallen?

Originally and continually we disobey Gods word.
A person is not a sinner because they sinned...a person sins because they're sinner.
As yet we were sinners christ died for us.

The message of the gospel is not that we can except christ into our life.. but that he has excepted us into his already.
