Do you think that this world is Satan's kingdom?
24 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lordmighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Psalm 24

the devil is called the 'god' of this world and the prince of the 'power' of the air (Eph 2:2)

he is not a god, .but those who refuse Christ are ruled by him

however, the Bible says the earth belongs to God...He created it

that's really not very credible there dude

I thoroughly and carefully responded to your question and you just blew me off

thankfully, most Christians in North America are educated enough to read the Bible for themself and get if not the whole picture, at least a much better picture then the one you have

well, perhaps someone else may find my response profitable when it comes to teaching, being taught and understanding how that works

it's very telling that you actually ignore the very scripture that points out your error and also very rude of you to ask a question, be given a comprehensive answer and then dismiss it because it points out your grievous error
That was not meant for you. It was for trofimus

you have said enough in your posts to make it plain that you are a fan of youtube conspiracy theories with regards to scripture

first off, THERE IS NO PRIVATE INTERPRETATION of scripture:

20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 2 Peter 1:20

reading II Peter 1:20 in context, we see Peter is referring to OT prophecy and the fact that God spoke through the prophets by His Holy Spirit...continuing in II Peter 2, Peter speaks about false teachers of the then present day...the time he lived in...and continuing in that chapter we read that thes false teachers reveal themselves by how they live and the sin(s) they commit

your interpretation of I John 2: 26-27 is a fallacy believed in by those who do not think they need to be taught and whose 'understanding' of scripture deviates from what is commonly understood, meaning to take the WHOLE counsel of scripture and not just a section or a few verses out of context and derive a new doctrine which actually amounts to private interpretation

so, what is the view held on I John 2:26-27 that has been held since the conception of the NT church regarding private interpretation?

26 I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. 27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
1 John 2:26-27

as you are fixed on the highlighted portion above, let's look at what the intention of John actually is here

first of all, John is not speaking to isolated people who do not come together as a body of believers. John is speaking to people who DO come together as a body of believers so he is NOT writing to individuals who believe they have no teachers and can function all alone (which is actually contrary to what scripture says we are to do)

what does he mean by you do not need anyone to teach you? what does he mean about a real and not counterfeit anointing?

he is speaking of what they have been taught from the beginning...he is writing of the truth that they ALREADY so therefore they are not to accept any other teaching

you interpret it to mean they don't need a teacher

if no teacher is needed, then why is one of the gifts through the Spirit of God 'teaching'?

there is only ONE truth and there is only one devil and he takes that one truth and creates deceiving doctrines and false doctrines and false prophecies through 'doctrines of demons'...teaching spirits that imitate the Holy Spirit and lead gullible people into deception and AWAY from the truth

it is impossible that we do not need teachers as Christ Himself said to go and teach all nations

here is a longer explanation of the above from someone who is answering the question you asked:

Let’s walk through the text and let the context help us out here. Admittedly, it does sound strange to hear John say in 1 John 2:27: “You have no need that anyone should teach you.” It sounds strange, because he himself is at that moment doing a kind of teaching. And it sounds strange because Jesus commanded us to teach the nations all things. And it sounds strange because teaching is a spiritual gift from God which he would want us to use — and on and on. The reasons why it would sound strange are many. So let’s look, because we know that he is not stupid. He knows what he is saying. He means what he means. And we want to dig in here and let the context help us see how this is coherent.

Just what it says, do you believe this is Satan's kingdom?
No, this is not Satan's kingdom. God has given dominion of the earth to man (see Gen. 1:28). That said, Satan does rule this world system by influencing man. Putting thoughts into man's head and steering him whatever direction he (Satan) likes. That is why Satan how "the power of the air" in Eph. 2:2.

So God is letting this world run its course to show man, the angels and the demons the outcome of deciding right and wrong for ourselves. As we see in Job chapter one, Satan and his demons only operate as far as God allows them. When all is said and done God retains the power. Bottom line: MY GOD REIGNS!

It wouldn't be the first time, or even the tenth, that she has responded to someone but quoted someone else... often herself.

Which makes for some funny juxtapositions....

I did make the mistake of addressing that answer to you, but still you are the one misunderstanding that scripture. You should ask someone at your church and see what answer they give, because no matter what scripture I give you , you want take it serious, so then this becomes a waist of time.

Since you think that you know the bible so well would you like to have a friendly debate on any subject in the bible. It has to be biblical. I ask you this because you seem to think because I don't attend a church that I don't know God's word. When I can see that you may read it, but you don't understand it. Prove me wrong.

trofimus seriously, I say this in love, you need to be taught all over again. The thread you started about creation, you tore creation all too pieces. You should know better than that,

you do not address anything I wrote in my response to you in which I included a link to an article that addresses your question and explains how what you believe is not at all biblical

or I actually DO know the Bible so well and I am trying to help steer you off your course of flat earth theories, self taught errors and blatant refusal to see what numerous people are trying to help you with

we are already having a 'friendly debate'; only problem is that you dismiss my well documented post and are now trying to put words in my mouth and tell me what I 'seem' to be thinking

what I actually said, and can be proven from my posts, is that your error is believing you do not need a teacher because of what you wrongly interpret John of saying

that is the post wherein I explained at length, why you are wrong and that is the post you have twice now dismissed and now you pretend you would like a debate when we have been doing that all along...actually you are debating everyone else in this thread because people do not agree with your flat earth theory and they do not agree that the sun is orbiting the earth

myself and several other people HAVE proven you wrong

at this point, I'm not trusting you have any intention of honestly taking a look beyond your own internal view of a flat earth with a tiny sun that plays in a dome over the earth with no other planets...stars...or other demonstrations of God's handiwork

maybe someone else is benefitting from what myself and others have responded with regarding your personal interpretations

but I doubt psychology is 'allowed' in flat earthers little dome world and may be seen as demons in the atmosphere first heaven :geek:

That has nothing to do with what is in the bible. Your understanding is just not good. This scripture means just what it is saying. 1 John 2:26-27 26I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. 27As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit-just as it has taught you, remain in him.
You don't won't to understand. Ask your pastor. He may know.
