The sabbath is really not a matter of covenant but of reverence for the reason being that it was blessed by God since creation and before the fall of man , but jesus taught us the right way of observing His day ,if we love God there will be reverance for him and question nothing , by faith me fellows not by sight . But faith has works or should say fruits that are produced ,but the acceptable fruits are of good works , works not of our own but of God embeded in love . I have a Love of Christ theology i been working on for years now and Love is more than a mere feeling but not complete without emotions but full of righteousness ,its difficult to comprehend to some because some do not know how to love but try with headknowledge alone but here is where the guidance of the Holy Ghost comes to play , like a woman that has k.own nothing but sorrow and pain , to this woman it is hard for her to love but she can learn by being loved by word and example as the Holy Ghost gift is put to use .

Romans 14 just saying
So what you're saying is that Paul says it's okay to honor God one day a week while others honor Him every day of the week? Do you really believe Paul is teaching about the Sabbath in Romans 14?

no, Manna was not a test but a blessing. Manna was a promise of the ultimate Rest found in Christ. It told of the true Bread of Heaven found in Jesus body given for the forgiveness of sins.

The Sabbath was a test to see if Israel would obey and trust in God and would stop complaining and lusting after Eygptian gods, foods and material comforts. If they would stop and devote themselves to God's will, because even though He parted the Red sea and caused water to come from rock, they still complained and wanted to turn back to Eygpt.

They were punished for none who left Eygpt were allowed to cross the Jordan into the Promise land. They all died in the wilderness and their children crossed over, all except two.
Amen Sister, you have been studying, lack of Faith is what stagnates, and is shown very well here, and yes complain, complain, complain was a constant. Delivered out of slavery, and went into tents, looking out each morning onto sand and no palaces, with Mans everyday, no succulent fruit choices, or the bathing they had, came back with the attitude what have you done Moses?

They had their chance then to have a personal relationship with Father, and chose to be told through Moses, when they saw all that God is, when they saw the thunder and lightening, lest they die.
Today same, people want a leader other than Christ who they do not see, today in flesh. Pastors, others as they canblame for their actions and reactions. The same as in that day of the fall when they went and hid.

Well today I am accountable, responsible for me to God, a personal relationship, thanking God for making it possible to enter his courts with thanks giving and praise, because of the Christ. as in Psalms where David saw a far off in hwat Christ today has completed and we today by Faith enter into te Sabbath rest, where we rest from our wiorks and take ib Christ's done works in Love to all

$64,000 for any proof that the Lord prophesied a Sabbath change from Saturday to Sunday. Put up or shut up on that one.

What is your proof that the Bible was tweaked? You are doing the tweaking, and present not a solitary verse of proof for a thing.

Acts says that they met on the first day of the week. Now I am confident that that meeting was what we call Saturday night, the day starting at sundown for them.

John 20:19
When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Acts 20:7
And upon the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul discoursed with them, intending to depart on the morrow; and prolonged his speech until midnight.

Well here is some food for thought you all, first and seventh day is Holy: read it all in context I think might be wise: and this includes every day to be humble and not puffed up as this world teaches us to be, puffed up, and appear better or worse than others, you think?

Exodus 12:15
Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
Exodus 12:16
And in the first day there shall be an holy convocation, and in the seventh day there shall be an holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you.

Atwood I accept paypal. The Sabbath could have come on many different days. In fact there were weeks that were Sabbath and a year that was Sabbath.

LEV 23

23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

LEV 23:39

Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath

LEV 25:3

3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for theLord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

5 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.

LEV 25:7

7 And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

Any of these Sabbaths could have fallen on any day of the week. Where is my 64,000.
shows me everyday alike and give God thanks for this continued rest we have here today in Christ at the resurrected Crist in Spirit and truth, thanks

The Jewish Sabbath is still Jewish Sabbath...it was never changed.

some Christians worship God on a daily basis in anyway they can...

Your denomination maybe teaching you to worship God only on Sabbath...Pity
one man views one day above another and the other man every day alike, let each be fully convinced, convicted in their own minds, for God by Christ has received them, and we give God thanks

For it is God that is able and will teach each of us the truth in trust to God, no matter how one goes about it. God will not ever forsake anyone that believes, ever.
Therefore if you think to worship on Saturday or Sunday or everyday so be it, I pray we all just give God thanks for Salvation when we all whether worship on this day or that deserve death you think?

I think the OP is proving a change in Sabbath to Sunday...

my response it was not change. It is still jewish Sabbath...

there is a big difference in correcting rather than offending a brother...
yet correcting can be offending you think? Depends on how one goes about it, I think, you?

Those who observe Sunday, as the Lord's day, are not following the Bible, but rather, man made traditions.

"Sunday is founded, not of scripture, but on tradition, and is distinctly a Catholic institution. As there is no scripture for the transfer of the day of rest from the last to the first day of the week, Protestants ought to keep their Sabbath on Saturday and thus leave Catholics in full possession of Sunday." Catholic Record, September 17, 1893.

You claim the first day as the Lord's day with no biblical support and have the sacred assembly of the congregation on the first day in light of it being the Lord's day instead on honoring God by assembling for sacred assembly on the seventh day.

Leviticus 23:3 "You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for sacred assembly. It is the Lord's Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.

When you assemble for sacred assembly on the first day because it's so called, then Lord's day, in stead of the seventh day, you make void the commandment of God by your man made tradition.

Mark 7:9-13 Jesus said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is Corban” (that is, a gift to God), then you no longer let him do anything for his father or his mother, making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.”

So what you're saying is that what Paul is saying Romans 14 is that it's okay to honor God one day a week and dishonor God the other six. If you read the context of Romans 14 this issue was over doubtful things and weak brothers and sisters. It's talking about eating and not eating. A doubtful things is a thing that has not been clearly commanded by God, which is what day to fast on, abstaining from eating meat vs only vegetables. The seventh day Sabbath is not a doubtful thing nor is the Sabbath even mentioned in the verses, you have to pit it there in your mind.

We live by the teachings of Jesus. Jesus is our sacrifice for sin. He put an end to the sacrificial system. The seventh day Sabbath is not part of the sacrificial system as a matter of fact, the sacredness of seventh day was before sin was even in the world. The sacrificial system was set up to deal with sin, forgetting the Sabbath is a sin.
maybe read Hebrews 3 and 4 , concerning Sabbath rest, that Christ is our Sabbath rest 24/7 were there are no complaints in Spirit and truth
Is Christ the Sabbath rest for us all that believe or not? is this spiritual or physical? or both? and what flesh will please God other than Christ's that has past tense?

It is absolutely amazing that no matter what scripture says, no matter if people have accepted Christ, they are going to believe as they choose, not as God chooses. Some say it is because scripture has changed to better suit them, some that day was never meant for them they are too special or something, but they all give a reason no to listen to some scripture. And no scripture, not God the Father or the Holy Spirit or God the Son will change their mind, they will have it their own way regardless. On top of that, they will condemn those who listen to what scripture tells them! It is amazing.

The forth commandment rest is a physical rest and is to be applied to your sons, daughters, servants, working animals and even those who are not God's people. The rest that Jesus gives us is spiritual. You can rest in Jesus for your own spiritual rest but you can't spiritually rest for your son, daughter, servants, working animals or those who are not God's people. The forth commandment rest is a physical rest in honor of the memorial of creation. Just like the fourth commandment says.
yes and it came forth, to come to rest to at rest in the flesh, by Christ 24/7. do you complain about working here in this world, about your children, your spouse, your co-workers, your friends?
so you are not at rest are you, being too busy as the Hebrews after being delivered in complaints and not trust in God for God's promise to enter the land of milk and honey.
Sorry you can't mix flesh and blood wit the Spirit of God.
For God is a spirit and can only be worshiped this way in Spirit and truth as per John 4:23-24.
Now since all sin has been and is condemned to flesh by Christ at the cross per Romans 8:3. Might be best to reckon self dead to flesh sin and alive to God in spirit and truth by the resurrected Christ Romans 6 pretty clear on this. Romans 7 adds to this and 8 completes this truth in Spirit and truth from Paul to us all

And its okay if you worship as you choose, for you give God thanks right? So do I, yet I nor you need to prove that to anyone else do we? So just Love and watch out for Doctrines made out of parts of the word rather than embracing the whole word that results in love to all from God to all by Son the Christ

Do you love God, because God loved you first? Do you think that the Hebrews when after delivered, freed from slavery, in the wilderness, spitting out sand, eating manna everyday, and thus looking back at slavery as not so bad now, who complained we had not, then we had, and we still do not appreciate.
Is man flesh any different today?
And they called Jesus a glutton, and a sinner for hanging out with sinners, is man really this arrogant? To be content when it goes as he thinks it should go, and not when trouble comes as in the wilderness.
I do not know about you, but I am at rest in Christ daily, dead to me and am daily learning how to be content in the midst of adversity any and all of it for John 16:33 tells me to be thankful for Christ our savor overcame this world. That means since we are in him by belief we have the same, it is done in Christ, We do not have to do as Christ did. We auto pilot do it, love to all

We who are Gentiles are not bound by the Law. We need only love God, obey God, stay away from sexual immorality, eat no flesh of a strangled animal, and avoid blood sacrifices. This is what was decided at the First Council of Elders in Jerusalem, and has been immortalized in the writings of Scripture. Stop adding things!

We were cast out of the synagogues, and banned from the festivals. Why do you seek to drag us where we were not wanted?
how about decide in you with God who just loves you, what is of flesh worship and what is Spiritual worship to God:

John 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Psalm 31:5
Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O Lord God of truth.
John 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 14:17
even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Ephesians 1:13
in whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Ephesians 5:9
(for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
2 Thessalonians 2:13
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
1 Peter 1:22
Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
1 John 4:6
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
1 John 5:6
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

So shall you and all that believe be free

John 8:36 [Full Chapter]
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

First of all, I don't hate catholics, I just believe they have false teachings. Also, yes the predictions of the second coming was wrong, but has nothing to do with keeping the Sabbath.
There are errors and truth in all and every gathering whether worship on any day. So if we see Hebrews 8:11 as God being our teacher in all, God will teach us to separate error from truth, and we be free to worship God in Spirit and truth 24/7 you think?
I know any time I see error in me, getting angry over anything, I need to take it to God who lives in me by Faith in Christ's finished work for me in Spirit and truth over the Spirit of error, and find out where I got error mixed in with God's truth
So anyone in bondage, and need to be set free, God is able, the only one that is, who by Christ has come to live in and through you, in love and Mercy to all
Wants to impute to us and see 1 Cor. 13:4-7 and has done this for all that have chosen to believe, maybe die to self daily and be alive to Love and Mercy daily in Spirit and truth, where it is that God the Father can only be worshiped today John 4:24

Sabbath has to do with a day of atonement a day of rest. The number seven is far less important than the purpose of the day.

God rested on the seventh day. God established the Sabbath as the day of atonement and a day of rest. There is nothing scriptural about the requiring the day of atonement be the seventh day of the week.

Jesus warned of worshipping the Sabbath instead of the God of the Sabbath. Human nature and a couple millennia and look what we have. Folks looking down their collective noses at other folks because of a day. Go figure.

Christ is our Sabbath. Christ is our day of atonement. Christ is our day of rest. No individual day of the week is so special that it influences our eternal destiny.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
Except by one's thought it does influence others, but not God, whom is the one that sets us free in God by Son's finished work for us to rest in Father's arms, sitting in his lap in thanksgiving and praise as in Psalms 100:4
Praise God for this Mercy and love that not one ever deserves to have, ever

For as a man thinks in his heart so is he. For thoughts control actions and reactions, and when one's emotions are in anger and all over the place, one is not seeing truth that runs the train. Rather the caboose, (emotions) are in the lead and a train wreck is a coming

Be angry but do not sin.

do not let emotions of anger take over. How does sin overtake, first one thinks on it, and if continues to think on it, whether wants to sin or not, it manifests itself anyway and hatred is born and sin has brought death unto you, you think?

Just like the Catholics don't worship idols even though they are all over their churches. You keep telling yourself that and someday perhaps even you will believe it.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
As a man thinks, (believes) so is he. Thoughts are very powerful and this is used by the Spirit of error, to plant them in anyone that will listen, as in the day of Christ with the leaders of the Law, yet what the devil threw at these law leaders, spiritual thoughts (darts) backfired against the Devil on that day Christ rose and took captivity captive with the keys taken from the Devil, and all those that were in prison with him, those that believe, went with him. for that was his purpose in prison for all those held there back to Adam
The prince of this world has been judged, it is finished, done and over. All that is left is for we the people first born of water and blood to turn from our ways to Trust God whom does just love us, ad we will be free and love all, whether or not they worship any day of any week or not.
That is just too simple is it not for Love is the fulfillment of all is it not? And so if I only love those tat love me, then how am I any different from anyone else

I don't understand why most Christians believe that one should obey 9 of the 10 commandments and forget the commandment that begins with the word(remember)
The greatest of all Law is love is it not? God's right, and I do not know how anyone can love truthfully without first seeing God's love for them first, can you?

Animals were either clean or unclean before Moses and the 10 comandments
All was an allegory to the coming Christ, and today this is past tense it is finished and he gave up the flesh he was in here on earth, brining in the Covenant of promise that father made to Abraham in the order of Melchizadek
Hebrews 7:11-12. All of 7 well to read. Hebrews 9:15-17 as well and John 19:30

My cat's breath smells like cat food.
Peter, kill and eat. oh no Lord I can't touch anything unclean. And why do you call these unclean when I (God) have cleansed all by my Son?
and the Spirit of Yahweh, led peter to a Gentile house and he entered unlawfully as per Law right? and thus preached, not Peter per say, rather God in the Spirit through him to the Gentile family and they were saved by God in Spirit and truth, before any ritual was done right?
It is all God and none of man that saves, yes or no?

The day on which Jesus rose has nothing to do with the Sabbath. Actually Jesus rested on the Sabbath in the grave. Even though He was doing the Fathers will and suffering and dying so people could be saved, He still took time to rest on the Sabbath.
do you maybe think that Christ was fulfilling the Law and Prophets to put back into effect the promise made to Abraham. the actual covenant by Faith he did works of Faith in God, that got out of hand by the letter of the Law that was put in place 430 years later? rather than walking by faith in the Spirit of truth?
is this not what Christ did walked by Faith in the Spirit of Father in truth? Has Christ not sent us this same Spirit of truth to lead us into all truth that sets us free from slavery?

I follow the Bible, not ellen white
I follow Christ, that reveals the truth of the Bible, in love and Mercy to us all. Seeing it as whole not part here and part there, making Doctrine out of parts here and not there, when the whole is Love and Mercy to all from God through Son

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:34
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
2 Corinthians 5:14
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
