The Sabbath change, from Saturday to Sunday, had to happen because God prophesied it would. In order to make this change happen there has to be some tweaking of Scripture to get the people of God to fall for the change, which the Bible was tweaked and the people of God did fall for it. The early church never gathered on Sunday, it's a delusion.
OMG IT MUST BE TRUE CUZ YOU SAID SO.

GEE- How can I be like the early Church?

OH- SDA? Ok, I'll just believe everything a women prophetess made up in the 19th Century cuz someone on the internets says Christians met on Saturdays.

SDAs are ridiculous.

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Well by the Lord Christ saying that He is the Lord of the sabbath then it is the lords day but if you wish to live by law then christ to you is nullified then there is no more remission of sins if you observe the sabbath as the law says then you are a debtor of the whole law but if you observe the law as christ had set by example then you are a faithful stewart

"Sunday is founded, not of scripture, but on tradition, and is distinctly a Catholic institution. As there is no scripture for the transfer of the day of rest from the last to the first day of the week, Protestants ought to keep their Sabbath on Saturday and thus leave Catholics in full possession of Sunday." Catholic Record, September 17, 1893.
Well, there you have it. Proof!!

Someone on the internet cited the "Catholic Record" from September 17, 1893. I've never heard of the Catholic record, have you?

Stuff like this shows the serious lack of critical thinking skills that go into being an SDA. The quote is absolutely useless. The "Catholic Record" is not a thing. Maybe it original referred to something like the "Baltimore Catholic Record" or "Los Angeles Catholic Record" or some other obscure piece of literature. Why on Earth would you quote an obscure article from an obscure publication no one has access to and really doesn't matter.

It's like me quoting a post on the internet. Who cares?

Question: Which is the Sabbath day?
Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day.
Question: Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?
Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday.” -Rev. Peter Geiermann C.SS.R., The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50

There is tons of support for the papacy changing the seventh day Sabbath to the first. Unlocking Bible Prophecy

We are citizens of a higher calling to be a holy nation that you be faithfull ,but to be stewarts and not deceivers ,but instead lets preach and teach the lost in the streets on the sabbath in thanks giving ministrating suplement to their bellies and most importantly their soul.

The Sabbath has been on the 7th day of the week since the creation. There is no where in scripture where it was changed to the 1st day of the week(sunday)

No, that's what SDAs teach because they were a miserable failure in the 19th Century. Their group predicted in the end of the world twice and failed. They were about to scatter, so they adopted two ideas: 1) Christians should celebrate on Saturday 2) Hate Catholics, which was really popular at the time due to immigration.

Christians gathered on Sunday since the time of the NT. What people forget is that Christians were Jews... meaning, they saw themselves as Jews and practiced as Jews. They did not go to the Jewish synagogue one day and then join the Church the next. They belonged to both. They went to both at the same time.

Eventually they were kicked out of the temples, so they added the temple aspects of the new Christian aspects.

First of all, I don't hate catholics, I just believe they have false teachings. Also, yes the predictions of the second coming was wrong, but has nothing to do with keeping the Sabbath.

Sabbath has to do with a day of atonement a day of rest. The number seven is far less important than the purpose of the day.

God rested on the seventh day. God established the Sabbath as the day of atonement and a day of rest. There is nothing scriptural about the requiring the day of atonement be the seventh day of the week.

Jesus warned of worshipping the Sabbath instead of the God of the Sabbath. Human nature and a couple millennia and look what we have. Folks looking down their collective noses at other folks because of a day. Go figure.

Christ is our Sabbath. Christ is our day of atonement. Christ is our day of rest. No individual day of the week is so special that it influences our eternal destiny.

I don't or any other SDA "worships the Sabbath" we join in corperate worship and fellowship in the day that God made for rest. My church has a prayer service on Tuesday evenings by the way. Also we don't believe that someone is unsaved by the day that they attend church and worship.

But doesn't that mean they have the mark of the beast, thus unsaved?

When I was semi-SDA, everything was Sabbath. That and talking about Catholicism.

Just like the Catholics don't worship idols even though they are all over their churches. You keep telling yourself that and someday perhaps even you will believe it.

I don't understand why most Christians believe that one should obey 9 of the 10 commandments and forget the commandment that begins with the word(remember)
