How so? it's very clear in your own post you exalted "Catholic " 7 times and only glossed over Christ once. Your worship the church and pride yourself on being the first denomination. The "Catholic " church has many firsts.

They were the first to take the word of God away from the people
They were the first to fleece the flock with false teaching like paying for your sins
They were the first to teach praying to dead saints
They were the first to mix pagan practices with Christianity
They were the first to persecute other Christians while claiming to be Christians
They were the first to the infallibility of their own denomination
They were the first to teach the full benefit of salvation ONLY through their "church"

You ask how so? There you go.
Exactly how did the catholic church take the word of God from the people?

Before the printing press, Catholics made copies of the bible by hand and sent them to other churches to be read in public.

After the printing press, books were expensive until printing presses became common and costs went down so the average person could own a copy.

Today, Catholic Churches will give someone a Bible if they ask for a copy.

Don’t confuse Roman with catholic. I know Rome prefers that name but historically the word meant the universal church over and against heretical bodies. As an Anglican I am catholic, just as a Lutheran is also catholic or a Reformed believer is catholic. We are not Roman nor did invent these novel doctrines. Rome did, not the church catholic.
Listen Rome really doesn't accept western "Catholics", they tolerate them. You see yourself as the collective church no matter where you are i.e. universal church = catholic? I am in the understanding of the word and its meaning thank you.

The point is the word catholic is not in the word of God. The term Christian is. And the Doctrine to which I listed as you do know was in context to the RCC which is the Threads topic AKA Pope do they worship

Who converted the majority of the Americas when it was new Spain?

Who converted the Philippines, Vietnam and is working on China?

Who is on every continent?

You mightn't like us, but we're at the fore reaching out to new people.

So what was that you were saying about baseless printing presses? It's only in the West we have become modern day Sodom and Gomorrah with our excessive, fun obsessed, politics of identity moral decline into madness.

In his latest encyclical letter, Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis spoke of a need for all nations of the world to submit their governmental powers to a reformed and more powerful United Nations in the hope of leading to one world government to benefit all mankind. He noted that the time is now right to make this move, since globalized economic conditions in the twenty-first century have weakened the political power of nation states. A single, global authority, he wrote, “ought at least to promote more effective world organizations, equipped with the power to provide for the global common good, the elimination of hunger and poverty and the sure defense of fundamental human rights.” Francis further suggested that his ally, the UN, would need to be reformed in order to handle such a responsibility, citing the desire of his predecessor, Pope Benedict, to see “real teeth” given to the idea of international governance. He recommends that any reform should include clear limits that would prevent any one nation or small group of nations from having too much power. Francis also called for a standardization of the rule of law across all nations.

Since you brought that up.....

Two internal prophesies say that Pope Francis will be murdered in Rome and the Antichrist will take seat in the Vatican.

The Antichrist sitting as Pontiff is the third and not properly revealed secret of Fatima and the Pope Francis murder comes from a prophesy by Father Michel Rodriguez, a modern day exorcist.

Francis wanting this only strengthens our internal word. He's literally setting up the pathway for the Antichrist to take power. Once he does, the church will fragment into many small pieces and the true believers will be without a Pope during the Antichrist's reign.

There is much more I could speculate. This is what I am currently studying.

Unity is Christ like.

Remember that.

One world Government is what will be a reality when Jesus returns. He will rule the world with an iron rod as in revelations.

25Nevertheless, hold fast to what you have until I come. 26And to the one who overcomes and continues in My work until the end, I will give authority over the nations. 27He will rule them with an iron scepter and shatter them like pottery —just as I have received authority from My Father. 28And I will give him the morning star.

Soooo think about what YOU believe before shooting down pontiffs for recommending we seek to mimic
what Christ will bring.

The problem is not what the Popes recommend, it's the men who will implement it and the unfair manner that will rule over it for the gain of a few.

Actually I see myself not as a collective but tied to a historical church. Whether Rome accepts this proposition or not I care little. The reason I use the term is because the creeds use the term, as do the early fathers. Rome was part of the catholic church but left centuries ago. So when engaging RCC's I also use the term because of the historical factor because history will inevitably come up.

That is fine but there is too much emphasizing on the Historical Church being catholic to the point of idolatry. Creeds are not the authoritative word of God they are just that creeds, that are in line with what the word of God says. But a Creed doesn't make the word of God any more true or without it doesn't make it less true.

If more would engage the RCC with the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ and the great errors of the RCC today instead of trying to waa da them with one's intellectual superiority of " Church History". All I am seeing is the worship of what is known as the catholic church.

That is idolatry.

We've been over the Muslim thing.

I've explained the one world government thing.

The Pope is coming from the right place when he makes these declarations. But Satan walks freely among us in these end times and he is seizing upon good intention and using it for his own end.

The RCC holds a special place in end time prophesy. It's the biggest church, it was once the church of mystics, full of miracles and prophets and it still holds a lot of power and sway. Satan plans to use all of that to his own end by planting the antichrist in Rome. I've got an inkling of what's going to happen and the hint I can give is that I think history will repeat itself, but in a much more grand manner.

Nice sidestep.

I might be RCC, but I also believe in unity. I just watched the best podcast with Francis Chan and he talks about denominations and how people are starting to bridge them. He himself was called into the RCC to witness and he speaks of what a shock it was to him. The priests sat him down and washed his feet (a RCC sign of humility direct from scripture) and asked to to speak whatever was in his heart about the gospel. Francis was shocked to find a group of Christians who were hungry for the word of God in an organisation that he, like so many others have only heard bad things about.

How many Christians read the Bible for themselves before printing became common and cheap?

I do not disagree that church leaders taught the scriptures before everyone could have their own Bible to read.
Even after that church leaders still teach the scriptures. People know how to read and doing so, learn.

People can learn by hearing(teaching), reading and seeing(dvd).

You pride yourself as you did in the live chat speaking down to others like you are some great theologian and historian I guess you still want others to kiss your ring? Yes, one can and does make the history of the RCC church idolatry. Many people pride themselves on the RCC being the first " church". So you can go ahead and place yourself on Ignored or you can leave either way you are nobody here and nothing to me. Same arrogant person, you were before.
