Moses led Israel in the wilderness... Jesus is leading us in a desert (as the O.T. said He would in a world-widespread covenant)

At John 14:6
Jesus said to him: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"
Ignorance is not bliss. We all NEED Jesus!!!!!

Why would a Jew or anyone who believes in the God of Abraham need Jesus? In Isaiah Yehovah declares: Thus says Yehovah the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Yehovah of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. And who is like me? Let him declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the eternal people; and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them relate to themselves. Fear not, neither be afraid; have not I told you from that time, and have declared it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? Yes, there is no rock; I know not any.

Yehovah also invited me to come to Him directly. As it is recorded in Isaiah; "Declare, and bring them near; yes, let them take counsel together; Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Did not I Yehovah? And there is no other God beside me; a just God and a savior; there is none beside me. Look to me, and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no one else.

The difference I see between what John wrote and what God spoke is that Yehovah declares he is my savior and my rock and there is no other. So tell me again why you knowingly entice others to forsake Yehovah to follow your Jesus?

that's correct.

Isaiah 45
1 Thus says the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus,
whose right hand I have grasped,
to subdue nations before him
and to loose the belts of kings,
to open doors before him
that gates may not be closed:

2 “I will go before you
and level the exalted places,a
I will break in pieces the doors of bronze
and cut through the bars of iron,

3 I will give you the treasures of darkness
and the hoards in secret places,
that you may know that it is I, the LORD,
the God of Israel, who call you by your name.

4 For the sake of my servant Jacob,
and Israel my chosen,
I call you by your name,
I name you, though you do not know me.

5 I am the LORD, and there is no other,
besides me there is no God;
I equip you, though you do not know me,

6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun
and from the west, that there is none besides me;
I am the LORD, and there is no other.

7 I form light and create darkness,
I make well-being and create calamity,
I am the LORD, who does all these things.

...

11 Thus says the LORD,
the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him:
“Ask me of things to come;
will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands?b

12 I made the earth
and created man on it;
it was my hands that stretched out the heavens,
and I commanded all their host.

13 I have stirred him up in righteousness,
and I will make all his ways level;
he shall build my city
and set my exiles free,
not for price or reward,”
says the LORD of hosts.

WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?

The difference I see between what John wrote and what God spoke is that Yehovah declares he is my savior and my rock and there is no other. So tell me again why you knowingly entice others to forsake Yehovah to follow your Jesus?
let's go back to Isaiah for a moment:

Isaiah 6
Isaiah's Vision of the Lord in His Glory
1In the year of King Uzziah's death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple.

this is God, yes?

who is this talking about?

Isaiah 53:3
2For He grew up before Him like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. 3He was despised and forsaken of men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.

and this:

Psalm 2
1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning?
2 O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer,
and by night, but I find no rest.

3 Yet you are holy,
enthroned on the praisesa of Israel.
4 In you our fathers trusted;
they trusted, and you delivered them.
5 To you they cried and were rescued;
in you they trusted and were not put to shame.

6 But I am a worm and not a man,
scorned by mankind and despised by the people.
7 All who see me mock me;
they make mouths at me; they wag their heads;
8 “He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him;
let him rescue him, for he delights in him!”

9 Yet you are he who took me from the womb;
you made me trust you at my mother’s breasts.
10 On you was I cast from my birth,
and from my mother’s womb you have been my God.
11 Be not far from me,
for trouble is near,
and there is none to help.

12 Many bulls encompass me;
strong bulls of Bashan surround me;
13 they open wide their mouths at me,
like a ravening and roaring lion.

14 I am poured out like water,
and all my bones are out of joint;
my heart is like wax;
it is melted within my breast;
15 my strength is dried up like a potsherd,
and my tongue sticks to my jaws;
you lay me in the dust of death.

16 For dogs encompass me;
a company of evildoers encircles me;
they have pierced my hands and feetb—
17 I can count all my bones—
they stare and gloat over me;
18 they divide my garments among them,
and for my clothing they cast lots.

and this:

Daniel 9
24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

hi Selihah.
i'd be interesting in opening a thread to discuss this with you.
if you are willing, it will be beneficial to us both.

perhaps you can convince me Jesus Christ was not Israel's Promised Messiah and Redeemer.

if He wasn't, i have no Savior, and i do not know the the God of Abraham.
let me know if you would like to compare scripture with scripture, and examine history.

hoping you would like to examine just Who is the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob....

Exodus 3
Moses at the Burning Bush
13Then Moses said to God, "Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you.' Now they may say to me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?" 14God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" 15God, furthermore, said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all generations.
