Well I see now that I did make an error somewhere, but does it really change the meaning? Before we knew the law we were alive, knowing the law brought death, that's when we need to be saved

Do stillborns and babies go to ‘hell’?
The study of HELL is a controversial one among some people.

HELL is a word that has been twisted and misused for a long time. History is a good place to see were the traditional understanding of Hell has come from.

From my study of the Bible and history Hell was invented by the catholic church to scare people. As a fear tactic they invented a place of torture.

Hell means the grave. And the God that I know and love does not torture people in hell. The just and loving God in the bible is JUST and a baby does not suffer for things it has no control over.

Judgement and justice is after the second coming.
John 6:39
At the last day. 44, 54,
1 Cor 15:22,23
After Christ, at His coming.

Matt 13:40-42
Wheat and Tares at the end of the world.

Malachi 4:1-3
Will be consumed....
Matt 10:28 soul and body in hell.
Rev 22:12.
Rev 20 after the resurrection...

Jude 7 Sodom and Gomorrha...
Eternal fire, they are not burning today.
2 Pet 2:6.

Matt 25:1 everlasting fire
Verse 46 everlasting punishment

Mark 9:47,48 unquenchable fire. Jer 17:27 shall not be quenched.

Rev 20:10 forever and ever
= ages of ages.

2 Thes 1:7-9

Psa 37:20

Destruction is ever lasting.
Flames are not.

With the city of Sodom the results are everlasting but the fires have gone out. People are not burning in Sodom today. But their death and destruction is ongoing.

How does John 3:3 relate? Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Absolutely. If one is not capable of understanding the concept of sin, one is not held to account for it. Doesn't matter the age.

Lemmee share this vision of 'hell' and see what you think...

Our universe is made up at the subatomic level with a cluster of like charged particles, which science tells us should naturally repel each other. They call the unknown factor that keeps it all from exploding "the strong force". There are several theories as to the source of this ‘strong force’, including God’s claim that He holds it all together (Col 1:17).

Then there’s dark matter/energy. Scientific estimates vary, but they hover around the theory that 90% of what makes up the universe, we can’t see, except for how it affects the things we can see. God says there is another realm that we can’t see, other than how it affects what we can see. And He wants His 10% back.

God further says that someday He will speak this universe out of existence. Paul describes that moment, saying the elements will melt with fervent heat (2 Peter 3:7, 10, 12). Think of what results when the atom is split – intense nuclear fire. What results when the Strong Force releases its hold, and a universe of atoms suddenly comes apart? Could it be that, which creates the lake of fire? We don’t see the lake until the same passage that declares the present earth and heaven are de-created

Could it be, for those who loved this world more than Him, God lets them have it in its natural state apart from Him?

I don’t think God ‘sends’ anyone to 'hell' or eternal damnation. Look at it this way. Suppose I built a resort for the homeless, and all I asked was that on their way in they acknowledge and thank me for doing so. “Hey man, I really appreciate you doing this” and you’re in the door. Tell me to kiss off, and you can sit outside on the curb. Am I really responsible for those who choose to sit on the curb?

You can choose God or you can choose the world. Choose the world and you will have it without Him.

To be born again you must be dead, death comes with the understanding of the law, prior to the law we are alive already.

op: stillborn/deceased babies go to hell?:
More thoughts - "David's child with Bathsheba":

"But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring him
back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. "
(2 Samuel 12:23)
Where will David go?:

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of
my life: and I will dwell in The House of The LORD for ever."
(Psalm 23:6)
Amen.
Interesting example. Nice find.

Where does it say...we must be born from above unless we are alive? Can a baby be born again in the womb?

Adding, subtracting, changing words, yes, of course it makes difference.
So you only came here to hash out an error (which I appreciate you bringing my attention to) but not actually answer the question?

Do stillborns and babies go to ‘hell’?

*

Romans 7:8-11. I was alive once without the law when I was a child... I had no understanding of the law as a child and I was sinless because where there is no law, there is no sin. But when I became old enough to understand the law, sin slew me.

John 9:41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of your sin. But now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.

Romas 7:7 … I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead. 10 Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came [to me], sin sprang to life and I died.

*

One is born innocent, and remains so, until one reaches the point where they think they know enough to make a decision about sin/God. Being born into sin, means we live in a world that is predisposed to make sure we make the wrong decision about God. Until they understand and decide, babies have no sin to die from.

Thoughts?
No. They have no works that can be judged. Those who go to the Lake of Fire (I'm assuming is what you mean by "hell") go because of their rejection of Christ, not on the basis of Adam's sin which is the basis for all of us to be condemned at birth.

Revelation 20:13
The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.

John 6:29
Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”

God is not unfair. He knows how everyone responds before they ever enter this world and so if a person never gets to live long enough, you can be assured God will judge them on the basis of their response to Him whether we see it or not. Afterall, this age where evil is allowed to manifest, is not so God can decide who should live and who should die (eternally) but so we can understand why God must make the judgements He does.

Do stillborns and babies go to ‘hell’?
MOST CERTAINLY NOT!

Any such thought is of satanic origin, and against Scripture (and that from the mouth of the Lord Jesus)!

Matt 19v14: "...Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Matt 18v3: "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."

Such evil teaching (that an unbaptised baby goes to Hell, if they die) came into the Church through Augustine, and was brought into the Protestant denominations at the Reformation through Martin Luther, who was an Augustinian monk!

I think people addressed your transcription error because there is a concept error behind it... which I will address in further detail when I have the opportunity. But in short, men are in no place to put "stillborns" et. al. all into a category and say "they are all automatically saved" or anything like that.

Thoughts?
We all go through a time of innocence as infants.. Then we come to the knowedge of good and evil just as Adam and Eve did, and from that point on we need the Atonement of the LORD Jesus.. His atonement is for all who have sinned.. If an innocent little ones dies before they have the knowledge of good and evil then they do not need the Atonement because they have not sinned..

Here is a write up i did a few years ago now.. It includes the scripture you have in your post..

Deuteronomy 1:39

"Moreover your little ones and your children, who you say will be victims, who today have no knowledge of good and evil, they shall go in there; to them I will give it, and they shall possess it.

This is when the tribes of Israel where in the desert and refused to go into the Promised Land because of fear of it's inhabitants. God decided to punish the people by forcing them to wonder in the desert for 40 years so that all of the generation that had refused to enter the Promised Land would die and never enter it. But as he says above about the little ones

"WHO TODAY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL"

This is the crucial statement from God about the little ones (BABIES) they are innocent. Think of adam and eve before they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. where they not Good. and here we hear God Himself says about the little ones "WHO TODAY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL".

The Messiah Jesus made an interesting statement concerning little ones too.

Matthew 18:10

"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

Paul wrote

Romans 7

9I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.

Paul is clearly saying that he once was alive without the law this was when he was a little one. Once Paul came to the understanding of Good and Evil his carnal nature came to the fore.

Next we see the reaction of David to His infant suns death..
2 Samuel 12

21Then his servants said to him, "What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child died, you arose and ate food." 22And he said, "While the child was alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, "Who can tell whether the LORD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?' 23But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me."

David was confident His little one would be there in Eternity when David passed into Eternity..
