Come on folks, actually read and understand the Scripture CONTEXT. Using common sense, just what is the subject? Why jump immediately to ideas of water baptism when the context is pointing to flesh birth in the water of woman's womb?

John 3:3-8
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

That word "again" in the Greek actually means 'from above' (NT:509). What realm is that pointing to then? The heavenly realm of Spirit.

But what's the other realm both Nicodemus and Jesus showed that was the subject?

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, "How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"

Nicodemus understood the idea of being born again by water as being about child birth, birth in the flesh.

5 Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, 'Ye must be born again.'

Being born of the water of woman's womb is the idea about flesh. But being born again, or from above, is about being born of The Holy Spirit.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."
KJV

That idea of the "wind bloweth where it listeth..." is Jesus giving comparison of our spirit that is inside our flesh body. Our spirit is of a different dimension than our flesh. Even though we cannot see our spirit that's inside our flesh, Jesus shows by our spirit and The Spirit are real things.

You are misinterpreting Mark 16:16 if you think condemned means condemned to hell.

The original Greek meaning is worthy of judgement, to be chastened. Whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth Heb 12:6.

John 3:5 HAS NOTHING TO DO with ceremonial water baptism. the context of the entire passage is the difference between "Natural Birth, and SPiritual Birth. "Baptismal Regenerationists" try to make it a "Proof text for their silly paradigm, but that's an obvious misuse of the passage.

"Beleveth" should be better presented as "has FAITH IN the SIN OFFERING of Jesus at Calvary to cleanse them of their SIN" (Isa 53:10 - Eph 2:8,9).

"Belief"(Mental assent) doesn't mean SPIT. After all, satan "believes", but isn't "saved".

PERSONALLY, I was saved by FAITH on a Wednesday night in my bedroom at home. An subsequently immersed in water 9in the three titles the following Sunday evening at Greenwood Baptist Church in Pasadena, TX I was every bit as SAVED that wednesday night, and the only thing the immersion did was make me wet, and had no effect on my spiritual condition.

People that go strictly by the letter, and this results in pages and pages of lifeless works which end up with no real connection with anyone. They argue that we are ignoring the letter, as if we are dismissing it when it is the letter that compells us to look for "something more," and venture deeper for it. The reality is that these are dismissing the spirit going only ankle deep in the shallow end of the pool when a true baptism requires such depths as Jonah had experienced. It happens at that exact moment that you died, in Christ, and not the moment you merely 'acted it out' on some stage.
