Does God love the homosexual?

Ok,People,Please help me to understand,I no God loves everyone.But U r telling me the homosexuals r going to Heaven.If homosexual is a sin,just like swearing,lying,stealing,adultery,etc.Then they should B in Heaven,with all the other sinners.So it's ok to repent,of ur sins.n go on being a sinner.if we steal,lie,swear,lust,we just ask for forgiveness.The Bible says to take the old self off n put new Christlike on.I don't believe u can b a homosexual n B a christian.Anyone,Prove me wrong.

God so loved the world [John 3:16]........so that includes everyone without exception.
God doesn't approve of homosexuality...........but He loves the person.

I am not for sure who this post is towards, but you are right no one that continues to commit the sin of homosexuality will get into heaven. However you seem to think people who continue to lie, swear, steal or commit adultery will. No sinner will inherate eternal life no matter what that sin may be. We all must repent and then discontinue our sin. As you stated we must put off the old man whether that old man was gay or a theif, and put on the new man Christ Jesus who does not sin at all.

Proverbs 6:16-19

16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:

a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,

18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,

19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.


Why are (primarily) Christian conservatives so militantly anti-gay? Why don't they go after the things the LORD hates instead of sins that he doesn't? They sympathize with liars and cheaters, they idolize radio show hosts (wicked schemers), they create lies to pass their agendas and quash opponents (death panels, seriously?), and they discourage potential Christians from correcting themselves, writing GOD HATES FAGS, THANK GOD FOR DEAD SOLDIERS on their protest signs, calling those going to abortion clinics murderers and telling them they're going to hell.

Why not tell them you love them? Why not show compassion? Why not offer to help them instead of spitting on them? When was the last time you heeded advice from someone red in the face, yelling at you, calling you unspeakable names and using someone who taught "love your enemies" to justify themselves?

I believe us as people catagorize sin as one being worse than all the rest. being a homosexual is no different then lying or stealing. We should love as god loves and treat others as he treats others.

So what you believe and what the Bible says doesn't line up then? I dunno, man, I think we should stick with what the Bible says..

No, he hates 6 things, and 7 are detestable. That doesn't mean the rest of them are okay, it's that he especially hates/detests these.

well what im tryin to get to here is that, i dont think he says he hates this one the most then this one the least, it just says he detests these. but they are in no order, we tend to put them in order. he hates the sin of homosexuality the worst then he hates stealing, then the least worse is lying. and THAT is what i was trying to say earlier.

Then how do you explain the numbers (6 hated, 7 detestable) that the Bible listed? Should we just ignore that verse too?

What are you talking about? Who said this was a Top 10 list? The number is an amount, not a list of rank. All 7 of them could be detested, but it says 6 of them are worse (hated). Which ones? It doesn't say, and I won't speculate.

im talking about what you said. read the last two posts that me and you put up.. i said i dont believe god puts in order the worst sin to the least sin.. and then you said then how do you explain numbers six hated and 7 detestable. If im mistaken i apologize, it just sounded to me like you were saying that god does order them in number of importance from which sin is the worst and which is the least worst. anyways, i have nothing else to say on this. im just confussing you and myself LOL
