Doorway of Death theology??

Well, it is written in the Bible...

For the living know that they shall die:
but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward;
for the memory of them is forgotten. Eccl 9:5

How do the living know that they shall die?

If they know they shall die then do you believe that they read from the book of knowledge of good and evil, since it the day they do they will know they shall surely die?

I’ve learned just recently about the death is but a doorway theology. I don’t know how long this concept has been around but from what I’ve heard it is being joyful Bolstering at times when people are dying accept death with a joyful attitude.

I know what the Bible says about the flesh it’s not much but I am just learning about this teaching that seems is out there in the world.

Death, as a doorway, seems like a good analogy. The "door" itself doesn't produce the joy, but what's immediately on the other side of the "door" does (only for the saint, of course). I've lost many saved loved-ones to death. I'm joyful for them, that they're now at home with the Lord. You can be joyful for them and grieve their absence at the same time; a "sweet sorrow".

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 1 Thess 4:13 (KJV)

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 1 Cor 15:55 (KJV)

But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. Psalms 49:15 (KJV)

Job tells us He will sleep in the DUST in Job7:21, To me the BIBLE teaches that we will sleep in the Dust of the earth, And I believe the BIBLE, Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Where dose this say that we sleep?? GOD bless as HE sees fit

The topic of the joy when someone dies makes me think of when Jesus died on the cross was God joyful at that time.

too love someone for being in my life and they move on it would hurt, so there is that I get not to fear death but to show joy in times of loss like what seems to be that pastor who ever his is saying pretty much jumping for joy and the whole theology.

I read a passages in revelation 12 below that may or may not have meaning on the subject of doorway of death but it’s something about life and death.

But in times of loss even in the physical is something, for Jesus wept knowing he could raise Lazarus. if a person is dying and joyful that might be a time to be joyful with them if they are crying a time to cry with them, tears for loss and joyful for life might be as well I can see how a mix of emotions at the same time can happen I guess it would be in the moment type reaction. but to be joyful of someone’s death alone is that right

The believer is already a partaker of the eternal.

Eternal means to partake or have the essence of God's nature within us.

Yes I know you would be but are you saying you would jump for joy while in front of them dying that is question of the thread.


IMO the first verse are those already had died

the second is about death itself.

the third verse is someone who is living and stating God will receive him.

Yes your body is asleep died those have been misused to prove soul sleep it’s not. there’s many of places you can find that explains Daniel 12:2 is not talking about soul sleeping here’s just one.
