Since loneliness is one of the most painful of all human experiences, we are driven, consciously or unconsciously, to escape its pain. To do that many people pursue some type of consolation, emotional high, companionship, or warmth. Drinking is a behavior which can provide a certain warmth to the body. But It consoles temporarily. Drugs can also produce a high which will mask, for a period of time, the underlying sadness complex. Other behaviors, which are attempts to rise above the pain of loneliness, include chronic masturbation, pornography, compulsive television watching, sex, eating, shopping, exercising, smoking and playing games. And I remember dirty harry in Magnum force at the end of the Movie while he walking away a statement he said
( " A man has got to know his own limitations" )
I think that holds true with many things, just as Paul said if you can't control yourself, marry better to fins a way to stay controlled than burn over what is not good for you
Personally for me I chose to not drink Alcohol and know I could just prefer not to, as I did enough from 14 to 27 to last me more than a lifetime. During that time if I was not drunk, I was not sober, I had to be drinking to be sober

Not all can control themselves even in belief, some just need to leave it alone
My Sister at 18 died on an overdose, she started out with a little drinking and Pot. I was 14 when this happened and she used the same excuse as most do, not me I am tooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smart. Watch the enemy seek whomever he might devour and the battlefield is the mind. The lunatic is in my head thanks to flesh desire

So a heretic is someone that causes division in the church body on purpose to split them into separating groups. Not once is being "opinionated" by itself the issue.
If we look at the whole thread, this would have never happened in the first place without somebody wanting to make a point about drinking even though they said they didn't drink in the first place!
