Abiding, the apostasy of the church has already started. In a lot churches you can't tell if your in a nightclub or a church (in America ). This is clearly not what Paul was talking about in the context of the scripture that I posted. We will get that.

The end times?! The Prophets of old and the Apostles wrote of the end times; or end of days; or the last days. as the end of the prophetic old creation in Adam. Where do you people come up with this madness? Christ Jesus is called the New Creation and Paul called the Christians then new creatures in that New Creation. The rapture was to a remnant at the end of that last generation of Old Covenant Israel, 67 to 70 ad, and had nothing to do with millions or billions of people in the 21st Century. When Peter an Apostle, and or Joel a Prophet wrote of the sun being blotted out, the moon turning to blood, or the heavens rolling up as a scroll; they were referring to the end of Old Covenant Israel. It was devastating to them that this Old Way was going to be destroyed, and they referred to it as the end of days, or the last days. The Christians of that day in that last generation of Old Covenant Israel, and it was at the same time the 1st generation of New Covenant Israel referred to themselves as being in the Way, or the new Way. If the END TIMES were in and at the end of this 1 generation after Jesus' death and resurrection, then all of the prophecy concerning the last days will be found in the last days!

Can we find the word rapture in the O/T anywhere?
The word "rapture" is not found in the bible, just as "trinity" or "bible" is not there, but the teaching is there.

As for rapture concept in the OT, let's see Isaiah 26:19-21:

19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. The first thing that will occur is the resurrection of the dead in Christ.
20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. Then rapture. "Come, my people" indicates the catching up of saints.
21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Isaiah 26:19-21 seems to coincide with 1 Thess 4:16-17:
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Resurrection of the dead in Christ.
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Rapture - catching up of saints.

That is actually what some Christians believe, but not all. The rapture is a theory that became popular in the 1800s. I for one do not believe in the "rapture"
My understanding of the bible is we are waiting on the destruction of the earth and final judgement. There will be no tribulation, rapture, antichrist and so on. As harsh as it sounds one day Jesus will return. Everyone will see his return. The dead will rise from their graves and be judged first. Then those who are living will be judged. You will either go straight to Heaven and be immortal or suffer in Hell for eternity.
The rapture theory to me sounds like you are given a second chance to "get right" before the final judgement. I don't believe in second chances of that nature. Our second chances was the death of JEsus, and our ability to seek repentance. Not people disappearing out of nowhere.
