first of all, the reference to Moses in Romans 9, are you aware of that discussion between Moses and God?

clearly you have no idea what this Verse is even saying here.

God told Moses to destroy enemy after enemy and it bothered Moses. what Moses never knew AND WE DO NOW KNOW is that God was killing off remnants from Genesis 6 [Nephalim].

so you are using a Verse for DEMONS to describe everyone else who [[((IS NOT CONNECTED))]] to the Nephilim?

Pharisee, are you?
The Apostle Paul, was not talking about the account of the Old Testament, that he used the Scripture from. He was talking about election. Anyone, should be able to discern this.

However, my defense of the Truth, is laid upon me. But, I will end here because I am not here to convince anyone. I lay out the Truth, the rest is up to God. This Doctrine is hard and goes to the heart of man's worthlessness before God. Which is talked about throughout Scripture. Our righteousness, is like dirty rags before God.

But you remain in the lie of that which is easy to believe. You probably think you are a rather good person. So who then is the Pharisee? You need not answer because it won't be you.

Until God, perchance sends His Spirit to you. Go in peace and take care.

Don't worry. This conversation is about to come to an end. FOR NOW.

I have spent decades defending the Doctrines of Grace, and by God's Grace will continue to do so.

but it is speaking about the Election of the Jews, not the Gentiles.

why do you twist Scripture like you do?

you make it into a lie?

is that being led by God to do as you do?

READ Verse 9:30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness—that is, a righteousness of faith.

why do you deceive us by misrepresenting Scripture?

did not Satan DECEIVE Eve the very same way you are trying to deceive me?

look at Verse 30 closer:
30 What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, attained righteousness—that is, a righteousness of faith.
attained righteousness—that is, a righteousness of faith.

we are given Faith by God but [[we]] must use that Faith to Believe.

Free Will!

i think he knew by using Romans 9 that Verse 30 was going to eventually be used against him and he logged.

seems to me, that if he really wanted to discuss his favorite belief, he would start his own thread rather than
posting his material on other threads that have nothing to do with Calvinism and interrupting and trying to
hijack a thread

I know that this sounds impossible, but its how scripture reads out. If one is saved it is by election of God. If one is lost it is by his own choosing.

isn't that still Free Will?
as, they REJECTED or DENIED God?
That is what our so called free will is good for, to reject God, nothing more. We can not by our will, free or other wise save ourselves. Salvation is purely the work of God alone.

no one said we could. but if we have Free Will to reject Christ, we have Free Will to Accept His Invite.

I don't know if I like where you are going with this. You seem to be implying, that the Holy Spirit leads without prior knowledge are study of God's Holy Word. Anything, that as believers, we may believe to be true MUST be compared to God's revealed Word. We are not above deception. This is why Paul said, to study, to show thy self approved. The Holy Spirit works with believers and brings things to remembrance - He does not supply knowledge out of the clear blue sky.

If I misunderstood your point - I apologize.
I don't know what you think I'm implying. My point of view couldn't be any clearer. The key words are "God's word," not "confessions."

you do not understand the implications of what you are saying here. it makes no sense. does not compute.

I think even the novice would conclude that God states choose over and over and over

or was he kidding with the Israelites after they left Egypt?

CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHOM "YOU" SHALL SERVE!

WHOMSOEVER BELIEVETH SHALL BE SAVED!

John 6:40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and trusts in Him may have eternal life; and I will raise him up on the last day.”

i don't see total depravity anywhere in these Scriptures.
and guess what?
anyone who does CHOOSE to Follow Christ will be filled with the Holy Spirit and become REGENERATED!
Calvinists seem to find the word choose so offensive as to be worthy of damnation should a person actually use it

Weird

Every day they choose to get up, choose to get dressed, choose what they are doing, choose what to eat, choose what to say etc etc

They just don't see it. True story: there was once some dude on this or another forum (some time ago I don't recall) who was having a problem with choices in his life. He would pray about what to eat for lunch and drive around until some thought came into his head about what to eat. Sometimes he didn't get that inspiration and would just go hungry. And he had similar difficulties with everything else in his life.

I know it doesn't compute. But it dont have to.
And Israel failed in thier choosing continually. It didnt work out for them very well at all. It was only a hand full that God had chosen that did any good.

I know I already said something about the above, but I can't even. I know what Calvinists teach and those who say they are reformed but do not want to be embedded with hardcore Calvinism and I know that most believe we do have a choice, based on scripture, but this is the first time in my life I have ever encountered what you believe

kudos. not everyone can surprise me :geek:
