God talks how ever he wants. He told me be of good cheer once. That's old to me.
God talks to you like a father talks to a child. I can see him say "be of good cheer" thats not old and is understandable. But God does not talk to us today in king jimmy talk. How do you think a child would react if their father talked to them that way? They probably would not have much respect for him now would they!

I've heard him many times talk in the old language. He knows all of them.
Yep. thats is what is so awesome about god. when he talks to you, he talks to you in your own language, on a personal level. He does not talk you in a foreign language or an old dead tongue. He is perfectly able to talk to you like you talk to your friends.

Why did God need prophets in the bible days to speak? Same difference.
Because the bible was not yet complete. Which means Gods word to us was not yet finished.

Evening Prophecy (Real)

Thus saith the Lord....

(Genesis 1:5) And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

(Psalms 55:17) Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

(Psalms 104:23) Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

(That ones for you DeadFlesh :))

(Acts 28:23) And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
