Did you know you just quoted Zophar the Naamathite who God rebuked as not having knowledge? If you really had this secret insight, you'd know that God doesn't start speaking until much later in Job, and these early chapters are Job's counselors who are speaking without wisdom and knowledge.

Elect, how ironic is it you have quoted a man deemed by God not knowing the truth?

Job 42:7 After the LORD had said these things to Joba, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.
What is ironic is this these men spoke things inspired by the Holy Spirit just not as compared to what Job said
interesting that you just came to battle but not discuss o well my sword is twoedged and sharp hope you get cut

God never said they did not know the truth
[h=1]Job 34:1King James Version (KJV)[/h]34 Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

[h=1]Job 34:21King James Version (KJV)[/h]21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

Why do you feel this information is pertinent to this particular discussion?
Sorry, I just wanted to be thorough. :)
This conversation has gotten way off topic. Kind of interesting though. The original point still holds true though. If you read the original post with understanding, you can see that GOD is referring to satan. I think we should just leave it at that and each person may believe as they see fit according to their understanding.

This is a great example of how to expose someone claiming to have secret insights.

Job 42:7 After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.

Yes, my friend, Zophar the Naamathite has indeed been judge by God of speaking without knowledge, just as you have. God's comments begin in chapter 38. If you really had this secret wisdom, you would have avoided this folly. If you're really agreeing with Zophar, then you can take God's comments as being directed at you also.

Or let me guess. You've been given secret insights that Zophar really did have wisdom??
Was Elihu not telling the the truth
Job 37:9-13King James Version (KJV)

9 Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
10 By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
11 Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
12 And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.

Note they spoke the truth but not as Job did they never lied
It is like two christians on different level of God wisdom, speaking the truth but one is a olive plant while one is a olive tree

Job 11:6King James Version (KJV)

6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

The is, is the written word the double is that which is written under the written
Secret wisdom is revealed wisdom that God has provided through the language of scripture. Do you believe that you can attach just any meaning you wish to a text and claim that it is hidden wisdom from God even when it is contrary to what the plain grammatical structure of the text reveals? This renders the language of the text meaningless. Paul urges us "not to go beyond the things that are written." I think this is revealed wisdom that is sound and this piece of wisdom upholds the integrity of the written text. Don't you?

No, Elihu, nor any of the others had the context of the story—the conversation between God and Satan at the beginning of the book. All of them pushed retribution theology, which clearly was wrong. They like you believed they had wisdom, but didn't. Brother, you need to repent and believe the scriptures. You don't have a secret wisdom.

Don't you find it a bit ironic that you're quoting the godless ignorant counselors of Job to prove your point? These men were attacking Job, and yet God sided with Job and mocked their knowledge. Notice they were so wrong, Job had to save them from their foolishness.
Job 42:7 After the LORD had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has. 8 So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” 9 So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the LORD told them; and the LORD accepted Job’s prayer.

And what's more ironic, these counselors actually had better theology than you do. They made the best logical case they could from the knowledge they had, and when they were shown to be wrong, they repented. You're actually defending them and refusing to repent. God help you.

I do not think we can say that every word spoken by these three men was wrong however The Lord was very clear in chapter 42 that what these men had said regarding God was untrue and God rebuked them for it. “My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is right as My servant Job has."

No question they got some things right, but had been totally exposed as being unreliable sources of truth. The real irony, though, is someone quoting them to prove their theology and secret insights. You'd think the Spirit would have directed them to a different source.

Why did God put Moses on the rock to stand and in the clift of the rock when He was passing ?
please answer the question it is relevant to the topic even though you cant see it yet thanks
[h=1]Exodus 33:17-23King James Version (KJV)s[/h]17 And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21 And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

How did Job know the earth hangs on nothing ? What does this mean to you

2 Corinthians 12:1-4King James Version (KJV)

12 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
Good question. We are not told how Job received this information. Job makes a number of extraordinary statements that seem to reveal a level of knowledge that is unexplainable. We also know that Job lived at a time in history that preceded the development of written language. That this may have been revealed knowledge is certainly a possibility but when God confronts Job in chapters 38-41 he clearly reveals the fact that there is knowledge and wisdom that belongs exclusively to God and that man has no business concerning himself with these things.
