Lets assume that both my parents were Christians and earned a place in heaven.

So my father passes away and waits in heaven for my mother, which I assume is what any loving person does.

While my father is in heaven my mother meets another man who loves her very much. That man also dies an goes to heaven. So they are both up there now waitin for my mother. When my mother eventually passes and goes to heaven who will she choose? Is it still heaven for the one who wasn't chosen?

Would this not even matter in heaven?

This is a question I asked too :) when i was questioning the truth. It was explained to me that yes, both will go to heaven but 'all earthly things' there will disappear, so such concerns will no longer matter. There is only love in heaven. We are maybe not given specific answers to all our questions in the Bible but Gods perfect will for us is given, so we know as there are no tears, pain or hurt in heaven, therefore such a potential conflict will not exist. I am sorry if this seems a cope out! God Bless you :) <><

Matthew 22
The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him, 24Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 25Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother: 26Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh. 27And last of all the woman died also. 28Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. 31But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying, 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 33And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
Already answered for you my friend :)

Lets just say in heaven love is pure. Everyone you meet will be like meeting a brother or sister you have not seen for 20 years. It will be just joy to go around meeting people. Your close family now is everyone in heaven. Whoever you end up with you will be more than happy.

The ancient words got all mixed up over the last 2000 years. A lot of people say a lot of things about heaven that are not true, since they get confused by their own language trying to speak of concepts the language doesn't really have. We are all networked in heaven, but the extent to which we recognize each other is not given precisely in Scripture. Jesus did address your specific question however, and stated that there are no marriages in heaven. You can read His response in Mark 12:18-25.

You will no longer recognize them as your parents. That is the world that passes away. What was once your mother and father here, will be your sister and brother there. We only have one Father.

Yep. perhaps on a slim minority will ever make it to Heaven.

No one is ever good enough to deserve to go to Heaven. Heaven is not a reward for being good.

If you study scripture, you will quickly discover that being re-united with your loved ones is NOT a top priority. In fact, it is only briefly mentioned in Isaiah, I believe.

What matters is being united with God.

Nothing else really matters...even though we think otherwise right now...

A far different thing in Islam.

Sahih Muslim Book #020, Hadith #4681 The tradition has been narrated on the authority of 'Abdullah b. Qais. He heard it from his father who, while facing the enemy, reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Surely, the gates of paradise are under the shadows of the swords. A man in a shabby condition got up and said; Abu Musa, did you hear the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say this? He said: Yes. (The narrator said): He returned to his friends and said: I greet you (a farewell greeting). Then he broke the sheath of his sword, threw it away, advanced with his (naked) sword towards the enemy and fought (them) with it until he was slain.

The following details the chicken and wine serving bordello of Muhammad's overactive imagination, that he used to talk his minions into going into entering imperialistic conquest, with suicidal resolve. This is also why so many young Muslims are so willing to travel to foreign countries and engage in foreign wars today:

Sura 56:15 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones),
20 And with fruits, any that they may select:
17 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness),
18 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains
21 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire.

A chicken in every pot!

22 And (there will be) Companions with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes,-
30 In shade long-extended,
31 By water flowing constantly,
32 And fruit in abundance.
34 And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high.
35 We have created (their Companions) of special creation.
36 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), -
37 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,-

And perhaps to go with those virgins:

Surah 83:25 Their thirst will be slaked with Pure Wine sealed:

The following verse should be a relief for those Muslims that prefer natural fibers:

Surah 76:12 And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a Garden and (garments of) silk.

Is it any surprise that the seed of Ishmael - to which many of them wish to proudly associate themselves - are the children of the flesh?

Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Jesus teaches when we go to heaven there is not giving and taking of spouses for we live forever and we will be like the angels. This being pointed out. It happens someone has just asked me about this theme, heaven. The following is cut and pasted from my response complete with typos:
The very few times I believe God has spoken to me, my understanding was always clear or what He said though not understood totally was satisfying. Just as some in the Bible were given words that satisfied them, though they did not understand all of them. As for "free will" in the Kingdom, I do not think in such terms. My thinking, which is not conclusive, is that being all perfect we will be indviduals but free will would never be necessary since our will should be fused with God's will in some way, yet He will always be the Boss, our Father, and it should never be different. I keep in mind that I cannot figure how the Kingdom will be, since it is to be revealed in its totallity on His Day. Eye hath not seen nor ear hath heard what is stored up in heaven for those who believe. I know I can never know much about the Kingdo while in this age except that it is so fantastically wonderful words cannot express or describe it. My belief of this stems from when the Holy Spirit first entered into me. Everything turned to light and the joy was so overwhelming I felt as if my feet were not touching the ground when I walked. It is all too wonderful for me to try to anticipate, it is perfect, life, all goodness and beauty and much more.[/COLOR]
