I did some closer study on this and I saw a progression. Idolatry begins outside the temple, as a side issue. Then it moves into the secret rooms, as we begin to secretly cherish this "idol". Next we begin to rely upon it, as the women crying to Tammus--a ritual that was to bring the end of winter and the beginning of fertility. Finally, we are bowing with our back to the presence of God.
Char,

All sin is progressive. Look at David's fall. It all started with an admiring glance and proceeded to murder.

In Christ,
John

This is a challange for me. Ill have to wait on understanding this one.
But the referance to Jezabel, I have met many lately that although they say they believe in God. Often speak of mother earth and their relationship with her. They believe in a marriage of multiple faiths into one that is claimed to be the real faith and real God.
I often wonder if Jezable is now mother earth? The one thing that causes me to ask? If you believe in God, say Jesus was just a prophet, mother earth is important, then why do you reject the very words given to us by God Our Father in scriptures?
One can only conclude that the god believed in by those that reject the word is not the God of creation.
It is interesting that those that believe in this false faith are so determined to claim that this is the real truth about God.
As I read this prohetic words, I could not help ut see the false faith so promoted today.
In Jesus, God bless.
