I have nothing nice to say to those who dishonor Jesus Christ.
Heretics, Cultists and Apostates.........BE GONE!
The author of the article you posted apparently did not consider me to be a heretic or a cultist, based on his comment in an article. If you are going to be rude and childish, you won't have much influence.

There seems to be a correlation between the five fold ministry (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher) and man's five senses; vision, hearing, taste, smell and touch.

I would appreciate any insight/revelation members may have on the topic.

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love." Eph 4:11-16
some call it the fourfold because Pastor and teacher are very closely linked.

No, silly! :giggle: I did NOT say the Holy Spirit is a fortune teller - it's not about our "fortunes." He shows us things to come. ;)(y)

John 16:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Commentaries that the Spirit of truth does show us things to come:
John 16:13
[And he will show you things to come.] He will fully explain everything that may now appear dark or difficult to you; will give you such a knowledge of futurity, as shall, in all necessary cases, enable you to foretell future events; and shall supply every requisite truth, in order to make the new covenant revelation complete and perfect.

John 16:13
But whatsoever he shall hear (or receive to communicate), that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come,
[taerchomena] - 'the things to come;' referring specially to those revelations which, in the Epistles partially, but most fully in the Apocalypse, open up a vista into the Future of the Kingdom of God, whose horizon is the everlasting hills.

Ministry as origami..could work...

Just to bring a little eastern perspective, tradtional chinese culture has five elements.
Water, metal, earth, fire, and wood. They are in aparticular order and become a virtuous cycle if in the right place, or a destructive cycle if in the wrong place and in the wrong order.

All these elements are essential for harmony though and without one something is missing.

Going back to the Bible, Paul talked about the body of Christ and how we are all members..body parts. If one part is missing the body does not function as well. And of course there is order to it for example the eye is not attached to the foot but its still part of the body. Have you ever played OPERATION game. You dont just put random body parts inside someone you need to put them in the right place. Lol

Without wanting to be a wet blanket, I think any correlation between five-fold ministry and the five senses is purely coincidental. As Scripture doesn't link them, any alleged correlation will be the invention of the commentator... and I guarantee that different people will link them differently.
All natural creation speaks of spiritual truth per the Word:

Rom 1:19-20
"Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:"
