Jezebel hates the prophets, for the prophets speak out against her. The prophets are her worst enemies. When she wars, it is to stir people against the message of the prophetic church. Yet more than her hatred for the prophet ministry, she hates the word they speak. Her real enemy is the spoken Word of God.

- Francis Frangipane

......

oh look.

the Charismatics came up with a defensive (and highly offensive) trick to cow anyone who denies God is sending prophets today.

they are the modern prophets, of course.

cessationists are Jezebels.

'parently.

- Francis Frangipane

quoting JOHN PAUL JACKSON

if i post this source:

Unmasking the
Jezebel Spirit

John Paul Jackson

http://ruachministries.org/teaching/JezebelSpiritbookreview.pdf < click

then use it to build a case for the content of the source, referring to it often, borrowing, repeating and using it's own foundation...what am i trying to say?

am i saying i agree with the source and want people to refer to it and believe it is true?

what if i later say i don't agree with nor endorse the source?

do i have any argument at all?

and more....ought i continue to use the source i say i don't endorse?

mkay.

please advise.

Hey Zone,

Off the top of your head is this the same John Paul Jackson you're referring to?

UMM Stephen,

Do you mean this John Paul Jackson? (Whom just happens to be on Benny Hinn's show?)

God delivered me from the bondage of those movements through a simple thing called truth. No prayer clothes, seeds, miracle spring water, or staged over dramatic deliverance sessions were needed for that deliverance.

Truth itself is powerful, and it set me from.

Strange how that works, isn't it. Standing on His word. "Just plain old boring doctrine." Strange how there is more power in His word to set us free then all the fluff so to speak. (NOT) :)

a-a-a-a-anyways.

i guess this satanic issue...... (Pentecostals/Charismatics have to rout out and isolate some demon they invented - to stigmatize anybody who points out they're just pathetic)

......is still being propagated by the folks who invented it.

cuz they are controlling false prophets who are determined to silence dissenters.

so....on that note.

bump.

what a drag.

Revelation 2:20
“I have much against you, because you are tolerating your wife Jezebel who says about herself that she is a Prophetess, and teaches and seduces my Servants to commit fornication and to eat the sacrifices of idols.” - ABPE

~

"Instead of that woman Jezebel, την γυναικα Ιεζαβηλ, many excellent MSS., and almost all the ancient versions, read την γυναικα σου Ιεζαβηλ, Thy Wife Jezebel; which intimates, indeed asserts, that this bad woman was the wife of the bishop of the Church, and his criminality in suffering her was therefore the greater". - Clarke

....

"From coins it is evident that guilds of bakers, bronze smiths, wool workers, potters, linen weavers and tanners were active in the city. However these guilds were related with the pagan religions in Thyatira. Such guilds would often hold banquets which included the eating of food offered to idols and participation in immoral sexual acts (cf. Rev. 2:20–24).

his elaborate and highly composite impersonation of the Divine nature, with so many names and such diversity of character, seems to have been produced by a syncretism of different religious ideas in the evolution of the city. To hold a job or run a business in Thyatira, it was necessary to be a member of a guild. Each guild had its own patron diety.

The members of the guild were expected to attend the guild festivals and to eat the food, part of which was offered to the patron deity.

After the feast with meat sacrificed to idols ended, the activities characterized by gross sexual immorality began. To walk out on such activity would make one an object of ridicule and persecution. A faithful Christian may have found it difficult to live his faith, as well as practice his craft.

Thyatira in Church History About 150 AD, Montanus began a cult practice from Thyatira, claiming his prophetesses spoke with the voice of the Holy Spirit (hence, Montanism).

- generationword

.....

to the Gentiles:

Acts 15:29
You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things. Farewell.

Schismatics of the second century, first known as Phrygians, or "those among the Phrygians" (oi kata Phrygas), then as Montanists, Pepuzians, and (in the West) Cataphrygians. The sect was founded by a prophet, Montanus, and two prophetesses, Maximilla and Prisca, sometimes called Priscilla.

cont....

not quite sure why this is hard.

Charismaticism is Neo- Montanism.

it's pretty straight-forward.
