get back to scripture. it is not me you sinned against.

scripture says clearly all that you have done wrong. simple.

if you bury it, or hide it, or hide from it, or simply for any reason don't seek yahweh ,

then you are as you have been, apart from him, and remain in sin.

jesus is truth. scripture is truth. you have departed, or never come to, truth. that is the issue.

it is not between me and you.

it is between you and yahweh. and he makes it clear to all ekklesia as he chooses.

that's the only way i could ever know what you did wrong. yahweh says so.

it is his word, his truth, his son yahshua, who instructs us.

you listened to someone else and remained apart from him for it -- you would not allow yourself to trust him.

once you do that, if he permits, you will have union with him in yahshua, as he means for all ekklesia to do.[/QUOTE

Father God, Pour Your love on Jeff, let his heart feel Your acceptance and lovingkindness, calm his fears, let Jeff see we are not to be "sons of thunder" but to spread the gospel!!! The good news -Jesus paid the price for us, not our actions. In His Name, Amen.

Spiritual growth and understanding is a never ending process as long as we are in this mortal body. All you said rings true. You mentioned that there have been "lots of people I used to know aren't here any more." You're right. Many stop contributions to the site because of discouragement. I quit attending for a time because there were many people who I respected for their understanding of the Word, who were banned. During that time I also thought that I was labeled to be banned because of my understanding of scripture. That was/is discouraging. Let truth prevail!!
I too noticed several getting banned who had spoken good words. At first, I thought maybe some of them did something secretly to be banned. But then I thought, "that's a lot of people doing a lot of secret stuff". Then I also noticed these same people were on the same side of certain issues. I almost quit myself when I discovered it. Isn't it obvious when nobody "on the other side" gets banned for doing anything secretly?

Well if everyone just learned not to respond to an attack against them this forum would be a better place :)
It's simple :D ahaa
Well..... if everyone learned not to attack or slam others for their opinions in the first place...... or, if those that were caught attacking/slamming others were banned this forum would be a better place, don'tcha think?

Then you should know the words of the bible...Who are you to judge another man's servant.......and for sure...Jesus does not use you to convict me or anyone else for that matter......and when I sin...and God convicts me...I have NO PROBLEM getting right.....You know that the PHARISEES sit in the seat of judgment and condemned all of those sinners around them....seems like the Pharisees are alive and well.........!
Well said!! Now all we have to do is check your profile page & read all your posts to see how many times you did these very things! Or we could just reread what you just said above in the context you meant! Well said indeed!:)
There is a big difference in condemning most in a Christian chat site and judging the words written by a few......I have seen you do it as well....for example...your post here right now......so...maybe ALL should get the LOGS out of their eyes so as to see clearly........
Condemning the few is what we see all the time in the NT. My post can be confirmed with your own postings, so don't project your stuff on me to pass the buck. It's there, & you wrote it...... twist outta that......

Don't be so paranoid, Stephen! One of my friends, who believes exactly what I do, was banned. There are many reasons for banning, and soteriology and eschatology do NOT seem to be two of the reasons. Nor pneumatology!

There are many reasons people get banned, and I trust that there is no conspiracy to only ban members who believe a certain way, even though they are dead wrong!

I think we all do need to speak the truth in love. The reasons we do this is to grow into the image of Christ! So both the person speaking the truth in love, and the person receiving the truth in love hopefully will learn and grow into mature people in the Lord.

I agree with Brother DCon, it's a public forum, therefore you can't expect everyone to be on the same plane.

The real culprits are those who come into this place with legalistic doctrines, who use guilt and criticism to entrap other people into their beliefs. All that does is immobilize growing Christians, causing them confusion and fear. There's no joy, no liberty in their speech, and they even go as far as to warn people about "too much grace". No light shines in their posts, it's all religiosity supported by mounds and mounds of scripture to support their lifeless ideologies.

And no matter how many times you point it out to them that Jesus Christ has come that we might have life and that more abundantly, and that Jesus' Atonement washed away guilt and shame, and that Jesus tells us to "only believe" and that He would show us the way to walk, they insist on piling on more mounds of religious dirt.

That there is the problem, brother. Nevertheless, there are more people on this site who exhibit the genuine love and grace and mercy and joy of Jesus Christ than there are religious zealots. Jesus Christ is alive and at work in the members of this site and we are family through His Holy Spirit. We just have to keep reminding one another of that. :D

Evidently the "culprits" are those that do not agree with your opinions on various subjects. Nowhere did Jesus tell us to "only believe" to have sins washed away. You could easily be called the "culprit" coming here spreading things Jesus did not say. Nonetheless, threads as this one do not solve any problems but only bring out the differences even more. Just remember, you're viewed as the "culprit" from those on the other side of the fence.

Willie-T said:
It's a "catch 22" for them. Until they can learn to accept love without first feeling they have earned it, they stay out in the cold, never quite understanding why they can neither give nor receive love.... all the while, inwardly screaming, "But look, God, (Lord, Lord) how much I do for you all the time... why won't you love me? Should I try harder?"
Jesus said why call ye Me Lord, Lord and do not the things which I say? Is Jesus saying one must earn the right to call Him "Lord" by doing what He said to do?

I agree with Angela on this.

I can't imagine people getting banned for doctrinal beliefs,
not unless those beliefs are contrary to the most basic fundamentals of the faith.

I think sometimes nice people are going through a bad time in life,
and maybe they just lose their composure in the debate forum,
or do something stupid they wouldn't normally do.

Oooooookkkkkkk....... I'm paranoid because 2 years ago I researched members that went head-to-head with certain people, tracking this issue all the way back to 2009, & found my suspicions to be true. How can we be spiritually alert if we don't watch?

Ezekiel 3:17 (KJV) Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

Ezekiel 33:6 (KJV) But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

Ezekiel 33:7 (KJV) So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

Matthew 24:42 (KJV) Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

Matthew 24:43 (KJV) But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

Matthew 26:41 (KJV) Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Mark 13:33 (KJV) Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

Mark 13:35 (KJV) Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Mark 13:37 (KJV) And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Mark 14:37 (KJV) And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour?

Mark 14:38 (KJV) Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.

Luke 12:37 (KJV) Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

Luke 21:36 (KJV) Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

1 Corinthians 16:13 (KJV) Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Ephesians 6:18 (KJV) Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Colossians 4:2 (KJV) Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

1 Thessalonians 5:6 (KJV) Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

2 Timothy 4:5 (KJV) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Hebrews 13:17 (KJV) Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

1 Peter 4:7 (KJV) But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

Revelation 3:3 (KJV) Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

It does make a difference in rhetoric and the way personal convictions are voiced/written and understood. Many have been banned for things that they were not guilty of. It all has to do with the moderators perception.

Stephen,

These are all great scriptures,
but scriptures aren't evidence that something wrong happened on the forum.

If you did research going back to 2009, then why don't you post all of your research,
so we can all see it for ourselves?

Just post it.

Really only the wicked weirdos should be banned. The ones the devil sends here to persecute us. Everyone Is allowed their own opinion. If you don't believe in someones words....love them because your a Christian and carry on. Disagreement or not we all share a STRONG love for God, and thats what matters! He has enough love for us to share! Our hearts within the Holy Spirit leads us to truth.

Well...couple of things.....

1. Your entitled to your view...
2. I have openly admitted on numerous occasions to saying very pointed things and or getting mouthy
3. I have apologized OPENLY for what is listed on point 2
4. Men of the bible, including JESUS, who is our example used sarcasm to some extent
5. How many times have you apologized openly for having a judgmental attitude and or the times you have been mouthy....?

A couple of times, actually. Back during that 2 years ago, I got into some heavy-duty arguments, & made a fool outta myself, acting like the people I was arguing with. Lesson learned, repentance made.

But..... show me an OSAS thread, & there you are the same every thread.

I've been here only about a month so my observations are recent. I have not seen anything that looks like censorship here.

What seems to get people banned is:

1)grossly inappropriate language

2)name calling and overt hostility

3) unquestionably heretical teaching

4) overtly sexual remarks outside an appropriate Scriptural context.

I'm sorry. I've got to complain about that.
I really need to complain about your complaining about Maxwell's complaint. Is there someone I can specifically complain too?

Have you noticed how many threads are started endorsing subjects that show the lack of spiritual understanding even though they are started with an honest heart? (Leaving aside those threads that are started to entice arguing, which are many.) Is it really true that the Christian (in general) has become less informed than that of the previous generations?
Is it possible our raised awareness through growth makes this more possible for us to see what was once partially hidden from us before?

Take all references to the customer service desk and ask for the complaint department. It might take awhile because they don't see eye to eye.

Often the most effective tool in revealing truth to another is.......wait for it..........Prayer

pray that thier eyes will be opened to truth, one plants the seed, another waters but to God is the increase

and sometimes we just have to shake the dust off our feet
