The Sanhedrin is the name given in the mishna to the council of seventy-one Jewish sages who constituted the supreme court and legislative body in Judea during the Roman period. It continued to function for more than four hundred years after the destruction of the Temple and there have been several orthodox attempts to re-establish it since that time. The current attempt to re-establish the Sanhedrin is generally referred to as the "nascent Sanhedrin", or the "developing Sanhedrin".

Friends, we should not be paying attention to such anti-christian sources as the Jewish Talmud, which slanders Christ and His Mother. According to Talmud, Christ is "in hell, being boiled in his own excrement". And it views the Virgin Mary as little more than a "hairdresser" or a "harlot". The Talmud and most of the Jews are very anti-Christ and misogynistic. They hate Arabs and non-Jews. Jews will be saved some day, but only the same way as Gentiles, by true faith in Christ.

The Seven Noahide Laws

To the Jewish people G-d gave the entire Torah [teaching] as their Law. They therefore have a special responsibility—with special commandments—to be the priesthood of the world, a "light unto the nations."

What about the rest of the world? What is G-d's will for them?

G-d gave Noah and all his descendants (B'nei Noach or "children of Noah") seven commandments to obey. These seven universal laws (known as the "Seven Noahide Laws") were reaffirmed with Moses and the Jewish people at Mt. Sinai in what is now known as the Oral Torah, establishing modern observance of these laws. These seven commandments (mitzvos), actually seven categories of hundreds of specific laws, are G-d's will for all non-Jews.


The Law is Only a Minimum


In contrast to the wicked Christian doctrine that the Law is too difficult to follow and that everyone falls short of the Law, the Bible (Hebrew Scriptures) clearly teaches that G-d's Law is the absolute minimum that He expects everyone to follow. The Law is merely the foundation for our spiritual service to G-d; we start by obeying every detail of the Law--which is not too difficult--and then we can begin building our spiritual "house" in this world, helping to bring the revelation of G-d's kingdom into the physical world.

In other words, the purpose of life is to serve G-d with everything we have. This starts by obeying His Law completely, and on that basis we are now able to harness our energies and opportunities every single day for His goals, not ours.

The Law contains two parallel (but separate) paths for the world: 613 commandments for the Jews, and 66 commandments (contained in the 7 Noachide Laws) for gentiles. Once a Noachide is committed to keeping the 66 mitzvos, he may (and really should) take on the responsibility for additional mitzvos, with certain clear exceptions: Non-Jews may not observe Shabbos (or holidays) in the manner of Jews (by avoiding the 39 categories of work), nor may non-Jews put on tefillin or tzitzis, put up a mezuzah, or be called up for a public Torah reading in a synagogue. There are other restrictions as well, including certain limitations on Torah study (depending partly on individual circumstances).

But many or most of the 613 mitzvos can be observed by Noachides for spiritual benefit. Indeed, some of these additional commandments are important (though technically not required) for gentiles to observe, while other commandments would also be a good idea.


How Do We Bring the Jews Home? Ask the Gentiles for Help

One of the 613 mitzvos commands all Jews to teach the gentile nations their Seven Noachide Laws (Sefer Hamitzvos, positive #3). This is a Torah obligation binding on all men and women over the age of bar or bas mitzvah, without which a Jew's service to Hashem is incomplete.

Obviously, the fulfillment of this mitzvah confers tremendous benefit on the non-Jews who listen and follow. But this is no distraction from a Jew's other efforts in carrying out Torah mitzvos; rather, it is an investment in the rest of Torah — and particularly in the work of bringing Jews back to Judaism. This truth is even more relevant at this moment, as we stand at the doorway to Redemption.

Speaking of the coming of Moshiach, the prophet Yeshaya revealed that the gentile nations will play a startlingly important role in the ingathering of the Jewish exiles: "Thus said Hashem G-d, 'Behold, I will raise My hand to the gentiles, and I will lift My banner to the peoples, and they bring your sons on their arms, and your daughters will be carried on their shoulders" (49:22).

The Noahide Campaign

The Noahide Campaign refers to a campaign by Orthodox Jews of the Chabad movement to influence all non-Jews to follow the Noahide Laws. This was one of the Mitzvah campaigns of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, leader of Chabad.
Aside from prescribing laws for Jews, the Torah contains a universal moral code directed to all non-Jews, known as the Noahide laws. Briefly, this code forbids non-Jews from murder, blasphemy, idolatry, adultery, robbery, tearing off flesh from a living animal and consuming it, and failing to set up courts of justice to enforce the above laws.

The Mishnah is an authoritative codification of Pharisaic law, ediced by Judah haNasi around 200 CE. Most of the authorities quoted in the Mishnah lived after the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE; it thus marks the beginning of the transition from Pharisaic to Rabbinic (i.e. modern normative) Judaism.

The sages of the Talmud see a direct link between themselves and the Pharisees, and historians generally consider Pharisaic Judaism to be the progenitor of Rabbinic Judaism, that is normative, mainstream Judaism after the destruction of the Second Temple. Jesus pbuh short three year mission was to get Israel back on track with the covenant.

Jesus pbuh stated in Matthew 15:24 he was only sent to the house of Israel. As he also stated in Matt 5:17-19 he was not there to change any laws so start learning and teaching the laws he tells those around him.

Jesus pbuh was there to set up a new covenant with the house of Israel with the laws of the Torah.

Unfortunately Jesus pbuh was rejected and the collapse of the temple a second time and the explusion of the Israelites from the promised land was the sign that the covenant was over with the house of Israel.

In the end God's everlasting covenant is with the true believers. At the moment there is no nation that acts as God wants and that is why there is no peace in Jerusalem. Peace in Jerusalem only existed when it was inhabited by those favored by God. No one deserves Jerusalem at this time.

Good point Scott. In some ways we agree. The covenant is now with the true believers. You call it a church. Yes there is no nationality in the eyes of God only true or not true believers. Jewish people can be amongst those that are true believers but not if they follow Judaism. I was not clear on that.

The Obligation of Jews to Seek Observance of Noachide Laws by Gentiles: A Theoretical Review ​

ABSTRACT​

This paper addresses the scope of Jewish law's mandate upon Jews to enforce the Seven Noachide commandments, as well as any other rules Jewish law mandates that Gentiles should keep. Part One of this article outlines what are the Noachide commandments, and their place in a halachic system. Part Two discusses the obligation of both Jews and Noachides under the rubric of the commandment called dinim (literally: "laws" or "justice"). Part Three reviews the various opinions on the obligation of Jews to enforce the Noachide commandments. Part Three will consider not only whether enforcement must be sought, but in situations where enforcement is not possible, whether Jewish law mandates Jews to seek to persuade Noachides to obey their commandments. It will also consider whether -- when such persuasion fails -- Jewish law, at the minimum, requires that one may not assist a Gentile in violating the Noachide commandments.
