I would like for you to name for me what Jesus came to do other than save us from our sins.
What did the high priest do in the holy place once a year, what did Jesus do on the cross

What did jesus save us from?

Come on man. Why are you hiding, this is a simple question.

If jesus came to saved us just from our sins, we would be sinless, and no one would ever sin again. He did more than that.

I think that you were not taking into account what I believe.

So who is the one being rude, according to your own standard?

You failed to answer my argument; either because you don't have an answer or because you do not understand my argument.

But what is it about what you believe (that I am failing to take into account) that makes my argument invalid, in your opinion?
lol. You like to blame shift.

You can;t even see what your doing, then you attack the person.

You made a claim that was false. Then asked a question based on that false claim

If you think I am going to fall for your mess and answer a silly question that has no bearing, Your barking up the wrong tree. I have better things to do than to mess around with someone who is to proud to admit when they made a mistake

The law of sin and death is not the law of Moses...

It is the principle that when I would do good, evil is present with me (Romans 7:14-25, esp. v.21).
the law gives the knowledge of sin , and the punishments of sin which is death

That is what creates that law in us this knowledge comes from the law of Moses

“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And this knowledge also comes from the law

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Sin is defined by the law like this

Thou shalt not commit adultery.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭20:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s how we know it’s a sin to commit adultery. And this is how we know it’s wages are death

“And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭20:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the law teaches sin and death that’s what creates the law of sin in man without the law man wouldn’t know sin and death to have that law in them

how do we know what sin is ? And how do we know that it brings death ? By what the law declares we know

Romans 7 is paul speaking of his stuggle between the flesh and spirit. It
it what?

Again, Jesus did not redefine the law. He showed how week the law was. The law says this, but I tell you that.
Paul re-defined the law as walking not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

And yes, Jesus re-defined the law before Paul did (Hebrews 7:12).

Why did you refuse to post what Moses said was the requirement of the law?
Not sure what you're looking for in an answer. Why don't you answer the question so that we can be on the same page?

Lol. No,

I said when we walk by the spirit we are obedient, we do more than keep the law. The law is a base of a few commands. Obedience is far greater and for more than ust keeping the law.

The righteousness of the law is fulfilled in Christ. Not by what you are saying
once again, Post what Moses said the requirmeent of the law was. What is Gods standard?

You can;t keep it my friend. You can water it down, You can make it appear your keeping it. You can decieve yourself that you are keeping it. But as james said, Slip up just once. You have failed to keep the law

You can be a law keeper and guilty of the law at the same time
If I walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, the righteousness of the law will be fulfilled in me (Romans 8:4).

I am not obligated to obey the flesh (Romans 8:12 (kjv, NLT)).

And, therefore, it is possible for me to walk consistently not after the flesh but after the Spirit, for an extended period of time; even for the rest of my life (Luke 1:74-75).

Even if he didn't come to save us just from our sins, the reality is that He came to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21).

What more did He do? I'm still waiting for you to answer that question; because I'll be honest with you: I don't know. I believe that His primary purpose in coming to earth was to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21, Titus 2:14).

He came for many purposes besides just saving people from their sins.

1 John 3:8b The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.

Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He anointed Me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to proclaim release to captives,
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set free those who are oppressed,
19 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”

You simply don't have an answer for the argument in question; and are attempting to dodge and deflect the question so that you don't have to answer it.

That is just evidence of the darkness in your heart. The word of God shows you to be wrong, so you 'disagree'. You're sick, man, and you need help.

I have only been treating you the same way that you have been treating me.

Pro 26:4, Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
Pro 26:5, Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit.

And the word of God did not show me to be wrong in that instance (or in any other concerning our exchanges).

It is the law of sin and death as it is engraven on stones; not as it is written on the hearts and minds of New Covenant believers.
it’s what makes sin and death known in the world, that’s how it became a law in us.

, the forbidden knowledge of good and evil , then later knowledge in the law of sin and death , then the knowledge of Jesus Christ in the gospel

my point is do you see how the knowledge we accept affects us ? That’s how it’s in us same with the gospel we have to accept the gospel and let Christs knowledge in and get away from clinging to the knowledge of sin and death we need the knowledge of life now we already know about sin and death it can’t help us to keep knowing sin and death

we need the new covenant word we know about sin because of what the law said and we know it’s punishment is death by what the law says now we need to Convert to Christianity and learn the righteousness of God

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s what Paul was saying here

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:19-23‬ ‭KJV‬

the law was always for the purpose of bringing us to the knowledge of our sin and that we would die because of it to hold us guilty by law so No one could boast or claim tbier own righteousness.

Paul understood it well and explains it well but we don’t have to look at Paul like his word is a mystery it’s actually what is explaining the mystery we just have to accept what he’s teaching to understand it

He makes a perfect case and explaination of the changing of the testaments like all the apostles do we have a word to Live by it’s not moses word though that served it’s purpose and still does to those who have rejected the gospel

Apparently sin and death is now written on our hearts and minds as New Covenant believers (Hebrews 8:8-10, Hebrews 10:16, Romans 8:7, Romans 8:4, 1 John 5:3, 2 John 1:6, Romans 13:8-10; Romans 5:5; 1 John 2:3-6).

The law of liberty, or, the ten commandments (James 2:11-12) is something that, if we look into it and continue in it, we will be blessed in what we do (James 1:25).

The law, therefore, for those who have been justified through faith in the blood of Christ and know it, is no longer a condemning taskmaster but is a set of wisdom principles that we can live by and be blessed in the doing of them; as long as we do not think that we are justified in the keeping of them (see Galatians 3:10, James 2:10, Matthew 5:48; compare Galatians 5:1-4)..

the

law of liberty isn’t the Ten Commandments

it’s the law of mercy that Jesus taught

“So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s has nothing to do with the Ten Commandments it is mercy for the merciful and no mercy for the unmerciful

If you try to be judged by the Ten Commandments you’d be here

“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s why we have to let Jesus be the judge this is the law of liberty

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

James is saying to act as if your going to be judged by this law

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36-38‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the Ten Commandments nor moses said anything like that James is saying it though

“So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The law makes us guilty Jesus is about repentance and remission of sins that’s why we don’t want Moses judging us by his law

“Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but as Christians know Jesus word is our judgement

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we understand completely who’s the judge and who’s words were going to be judged by

“And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:42‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭17:30-31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s by the gospel and what Christ said were to be judged by we can reject it or accept it

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

said the judge of all

Moses isn’t oir jidge by his law he’s an accuser and the commandment have already proved we’re all sinners

“But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s almost like you didn’t hear that the messiah was going to come and deliver Gods true word and law try studying Isaiah for a bit

The law of liberty is the ten commandments.

At least, two of the ten are included in it:

Jas 2:11, For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
Jas 2:12, So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
