Well that's a first, someone on these websites cannot state if they are a christian or not

Yes, I am a Christian.

The righteousness of the law is fulfilled in me inasmuch as I walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:4).

However, I am not justified by this but am justified through faith in the blood of Jesus which means I am not justified by my performance in Christianity.

If I am born of God, then that means that the divine nature will keep me from sinning against God.

You need to have a little bit more patience than that. Sometimes it takes a little while to type out an answer and sometimes I have more than one thing to answer you. Because you are vehemently provoking me to speak of many things, here.

Yes, I am a Christian.
Then your doctrine is in a hopeless mess. I wouldn't quote Jesus words to the pharisees if i was you, for they demanded of others what they did not demand of themselves in order to attain to eternal life. You have admitted you cannot say you do not commit sin, yet you preach:
What is the new, but the new life that we live in Christ; wherein we "doth not commit sin" and "cannot sin" (1 John 3:9)?

Im just quoting your very plain posts, nothing more. It is true, you do speak out of both sides of your mouth, as must by now be abundantly clear to all

You are in attack mode, sir.

I will not say that I always phrase my statements perfectly so that someone cannot find a flaw in them if they really, really try hard to do so.

But I suggest that you go back read the whole of what I have been saying and consider the spirit of what I have been saying rather than one statement taken out of context.

If it is your desire to destroy my reputation as a teacher, then you have miserably failed.

But it would also be true that you are in the gall of bitterness.

I would advise you to repent and ask the Lord if the thought of thine heart might be forgiven you.

I am just going to be honest with you. I have always felt a burden, for those who join churches, and get parishoners who just robotically reel off the letter of scripture and make out it must be fully obeyed to inherit eternal life. A sincere new convert then gets crushed by a message the people making it do not even try to live up to in their own life. I may be far from perfect, but compassion for such folk is a good thing. Happens a lot in churches described as ''holiness churches'' Compassion for people is central to the christian faith

It might be better for you to sort out your errant theology and for you to pause and consider whether it is correct for you to demand of others in many of your posts what you are not demanding of yourself in order to be a christian/in a saved state. Jesus used harsh words for those who did the same when he walked this earth

I will say that in my own life, when I have not lived up to the standard that is set forth by Christianity, I have always felt that I was sinning and I have never been content with that.

So, I fight for the doctrine that we can walk in victory for my own sake and for the sake of others who fall into sin, not because they have to; but because they have been taught that it is inevitable but that they will sin.

Such a thing gives the devil a foothold impaho.

I think you misunderstand my theology; for it is my belief that a person who is justified is on their way to heaven.

In interpreting this, consider all that I have said about the difference between being justified and born again.

I am merely pointing out that entire sanctification is defined as "born of God" in 1 John 3:9.

That entire sanctification is a reality, and sound doctrine, perhaps, should be hashed out in the thread on entire sanctification.

(will post a link shortly).
You need to revisit your theology. The literal letter states:
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

If you take the above literally, you are of the devil and have never known Christ, for you admit, you cannot say you do not commit sin

I interpret those verses with Romans 7:6 in mind.

However, I also do not interpret the Bible according to my own experience but I interpret my experience by the Bible.

So, if Romans 7:6 were not in the Bible, I would have to admit that "I am still a man in need of a Saviour".

And would not that be a good thing, if it led me to the place of becoming truly born of God?

And bearing the above in mind, you should reconsider your view of verse 9.

Its hopeless I'm afraid. You have contradicted yourself all over the place. You have amditted you cannot say you do not commit sin but then write:

What is the new, but the new life that we live in Christ; wherein we "doth not commit sin" and "cannot sin" (1 John 3:9)?

I have to be honest, surely a sincere person should reconsider what they are writing here. But you do not have that ability it seems. For though the literal letter of 1John3:5-9 condemns you as you admit you cannot say you do not commit sin, you are still clinging to it by reaffirming your belief you cannot be born again if you commit any sin.

Up to you of course, but condemning yourself is not a great idea

How do you figure?

Did you read my statements about verse 9?

And, have you understood them?
All I have done is quote your posts. Of course you will try and explain it all away, for otherwise you would be breaking the commandment:
Thou shalt not admit to error
