That's ok Kenneth....I will go with the destruction of the flesh and how that translates out as opposed to the scholars you follow which teach a works based gospel.........

Did you read what I posted, because if you saw what I wrote the now day scholars that have changed the phrase "destruction of the flesh" to mean physical death has completely changed the context of the chapter and in turn changed what God's word truly says.

It is speaking of breaking fellowship with this person and shunning them from the church, not about physically putting a person to death. The scholars you follow is the ones who badly changed the context of this passage, as sexual immorality is considered destruction of the flesh as Jesus says this is the only sin that is done to our own bodies. Jesus says every other sin is outside the body, and notice the context in 1 Corinthians 5 once again is about sexual immorality.

Even sexual immorality has to be repented/confessed of to be forgiven of, and we do not put people to death for this sin, nor by God are we to do that !!! So your physical death does not fit !!!

†. Titus 3:10-11 . . Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a
second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. You may be sure that
such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

Heretics are definitely Devil-worthy because if left unchecked, they will
destroy a church's unity and undermine the hierarchy.

†. 1Cor 5:11-13 . . I am writing you that you must not associate with
anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an
idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not
even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are
you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. Expel the
wicked man from among you.

If Christians today were to comply with 1Cor 5:11-13, they'd probably
empty half their church's pews and Sunday school classes.

Christians who refuse to comply with Pauls' directives become Devil-worthy
themselves even they aren't an heretic, or sexually immoral, or greedy, or
an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard or a swindler.

†. 1Sam 15:23 . . For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and
insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry.

Back in Paul's day it was harder to be a church member than it was to be a
Christian. Churches were strict.

Matthew 7:14 (KJV) Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

I hope that's "decrypted" 'nuff fer ya.
