†. Titus 3:10-11 . . Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a
second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. You may be sure that
such a man is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.
Heretics are definitely Devil-worthy because if left unchecked, they will
destroy a church's unity and undermine the hierarchy.
†. 1Cor 5:11-13 . . I am writing you that you must not associate with
anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an
idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not
even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are
you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. Expel the
wicked man from among you.
If Christians today were to comply with 1Cor 5:11-13, they'd probably
empty half their church's pews and Sunday school classes.
Christians who refuse to comply with Pauls' directives become Devil-worthy
themselves even they aren't an heretic, or sexually immoral, or greedy, or
an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard or a swindler.
†. 1Sam 15:23 . . For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and
insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry.
Back in Paul's day it was harder to be a church member than it was to be a
Christian. Churches were strict.
