So, that is what that thread about commanding the weather? I need to start reading from the beginning to the end. I'd thought that it were referring that if we has been giving authority over weather like Jesus. God uses all things for His purpose, like He had made the rainbow in the sky as a sign. The Magi had read the stars about when the King of the Jews being born. And so everything God use for His purpose.

Yes Jesus was able to rebuke the storm, but at the same time He rebuked His disciples for being afraid, for not trusting and having faith that God would keep them safe even if they were in the middle of a hurricane.

If God tells you to pray for something, you should. However if you pray for things because you want to show your power or control over the world, then you are at fault and God will chastens you if you are His.

I don't like when people pretend they can do things only GOD can control.

satan killed Him. And it pleased God to sacrifice Him.
So Christ has now sucker punced satan and took back the authority.
Then told man all power in heaven and on earth is given unto me.

God used Jesus suffering on the cross as a redemption for sinners.

Often times bad things happen and we don't understand why. However God asks us at those times, do we TRUST in Him?

What do you tell the people you lay hands on and are NOT healed? Do you claim they lack belief? that they should have prayed more? or do you admit that YOU do not have the power to heal everyone?

God heals people even if they do not totally believe. He has done it in the Bible. The leper did not truly believe bathing in the river would work but he was desperate enough to try it.

You never address the fact that NOT all lepers in Jerusalem were healed. JESUS says that not all of them were healed. He did not say it was based on their unbelief but that it was NOT PART OF GOD's plans.

However, I would rather talk about what JESUS actually told us and not the made up schemes of men to give themselves powers God never granted them.

Timothy was sick and Paul did not tell him to just "command" it to go away. He told him to have a little wine for his stomach ache:

Jesus could have done numerous miracles but He chose to only do God's will.

Some people say that since Jesus commanded the weather, we should be able to as well. It is a lie. Jesus also made water in to wine but I have yet to see anyone claiming they can do the same.

While some call it the law, I consider it merely common sense and good advise.

What is observer of times? I consider it to be those who become conformed to the world by the events of the past , the ones that resist progress because of fear without any reasonable or principled basis.

But on the same hand, those who are always seeking to change things simply because they think it will somehow make things better simply doing things different also logic of the observer of times.

Like divination, or rather as using the Bible or any other thing to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge by occult or supernatural means.

It is never the persons fault they never got healed. Its the person laying on of hands. And its always through lack of faith. Cjridt healed them all. The apostles healed them all. Never was one left unhealed, that wanted healed.

Sometimes the Lord tests us with His Own written word. He sticks one verse almost at the back of the book and sees who pays attention to it. It's like when the people followed Him back and forth in boats and when they found Him, He said to them -- you're not following Me for any other reason except that I gave you 5000 bread and fish.
We used to call those that are like that today, "Fish & bread Christians".

So He put out all those blessings for them and then when they followed Him further - He spoke that one liner in there to show them their motives.

He does the same at times with His Own Word. Puts out all of the goodies and then almost at the end of the book puts ...

1Jn 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us.

God is - to say the least - Immeasurably much smarter than we and knows how to write a Book that can catch our motives, for the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Omnipotent Author, He is. Knowing what to put where, when and why.
