All the promises of God are yes and amen. 2 Corinthians 1:20
in context this talks about Paul journey to visit certain villages and Paul's promise to visit them:

[h=3][/h][SUP]15 [/SUP]And in this confidence I intended to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit— [SUP]16 [/SUP]to pass by way of you to Macedonia, to come again from Macedonia to you, and be helped by you on my way to Judea. [SUP]17 [/SUP]Therefore, when I was planning this, did I do it lightly? Or the things I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be Yes, Yes, and No, No? [SUP]18 [/SUP]But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. [SUP]20 [/SUP]For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. [SUP]21 [/SUP]Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, [SUP]22 [/SUP]who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Moreover I call God as witness against my soul, that to spare you I came no more to Corinth. [SUP]24 [/SUP]Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are fellow workers for your joy; for by faith you stand.

These signs will follow those who believe. Believe = Faith. John 14:14
Anything you ask in my name I will give it to you. John 14:13
I can understand how you might be confused by these verses, we can discuss it more if you like.

The rest of the verses have nothing to do with the conversation at hand. you are assuming that I believe the same things your old church did. Its a common mistake people who feel hurt make.

1Jn 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us.
Yes it is verse that reminds us that we should always SEEK God's will and not our own.

If Jesus Did and commanded that we walk as He did - always doing the will of the Father [as you said earlier] - it sure does stand to reason that we're to walk in The Same Spirit that He walked in.

Bless ya!

Bless you too! :)

I always wonder what God commands of us.

I know we have the Bible and there are basics like God commands us to forgive others, to be gentle with our brothers and sisters, to pray always.

However, I wonder on a day to day, moment to moment basis what does God command for us to do?

How do we decide what job we should get? How do we decide how to spend our day?

I know that God had a purpose for all of us:
Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

were done mate most of the time I spent in here was for others benifits the ones who thank me in pm and etc. You are not listning so its not for you I sake what I did it for the quite others who want to hear, easy clear teaching and you helped a lot expose the inerantcy of what most churches teach. I think my points are all made.
Lord bless those that have ears to hear. and bless those who are willing to now walk a little closer to you through truth.

Sister Ariel.............I see you have "drawn out" the rage of our latest "Scholar".............'course, you must remember that HE is all knowing in all things Scriptural, and we, the unwashed masses, must bow to his knowledge.......... :):)

Don't fret him...........(and you probably don't)...........read enough of his dribble, and the pattern is made clear...........

God bless.............and tell that tall guy beside you to crouch a wee bit more.......... :)
