This scripture says that anyone who has sinned against the Lord is blotted out of the book. How do we get around that one?..all of us have sinned.

Exodus 32:33 (NASB)
[SUP]33 [/SUP] The LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

(Probably has something to do with the finished work of Christ which trumps this truth...when ever we don't factor in the clear abundant scriptures of the finished work of Christ - some obscure scriptures can throw us off )[/B][/SIZE]

There is a difference between sin, [Missing the mark, slipping up], and deliberately walking away from God.

Missing the mark? Slipping up?

Sin is sin. Just a single sin will keep one out of heaven.

Just what Bible are you reading?

Rightly dividing Church doctrine will solve all such issues as eternal salvation, works for salvation, losing one's salvation, repenting, baptism, etc...When I finally understood dispensational teaching, what a relief and joy came into my life. Pass everything through what the Lord gave to the Apostle Paul to the body of Christ. If it doesn't mesh, don't worry, it's not your doctrine but someone else either before the resurrection or after the rapture of the church.

If you say you don't sin, You deceive yourself, the truth isn't in you and make God a liar, 1 Jn 1: 8--10.
so you just admitted you are a sinner, Thank you.

Oooh oooh me me....James is talking to the Jews scattered abroad about coming out from under the law and turn to Jesus Christ, their Messiah. They missed Him the first time around and so now is their chance at the second advent to believe Jesus is the fulfillment of the Davidic covenant and will restore the kingdom to Israel. But this only makes since to a dispensationist. :)
Um, I am a dispensationalist, And this makes no sense to me at all.

to me, James is saying what Paul said in gal 3 and what Moses said in dueteronomy. That whoever does not confirm and obey every word of the law is under a curse.

If you rcommit one sin, no matter how small it is, You have not lived up to the standard as required by God and are guilty of breaking the whole covenant (law)

How do you know God did not get another person. And how do you know it was not Gods will for that person to die? we can't make biblical truths based on assumptions

God sent prophet after prophet to Isreal to tell them to repent, they did not, did god fail?

If you knew the Bible, you would know it's never God's will for people to die, accept through a natural death through very old age.
Jesus came to give us health, healing and a long satisfied life, Jesus died in agony having been whipped open so we could be healed.

Just one look at those scruffy men, and I knew they have no respect for God, Their ministry or the people they are ministering to, So why should I believe a word that he says??.
I will say with the Truth found in Hen 6, Heb 10 and 1 Cor 16: 22.
PS, those men are supposed to be ambassadors for Jesus, and a Country would never send a scruffy ambassador out to represent it, and neither would God.
so they did not spend Gods money on expensive suits, And they are evil.

Wow man, you are churched.. run run, Far away,,

How can you walk away from God, God is omnipresent, There is no place you can walk in which God is not there. Have you not read the OT?

Jonah tried to walk away from God, How well did he do?

no, because that would contradict the rest of scripture that says salvation is eternal.. see what I mean, Your interpretation causes it to contradict scripture..

Heb 6 and ten does not say you can lose salvation, thats a faulty interpretation.
Heb 6 and 10, doesn't contradict the scriptures, The scriptures shows us the two sides, God's side,[Eternal salvation], and our side, [Don't walk away and reject salvation].

What's up, Chester? :)
It sounds like Chester does not agree with OSAS. I wonder if he gnashed his teeth, ripped his robe and casted dust in the air when he read through this thread. ;)

Not a Hebrew myself, but a member of the body of Christ where there are no such distinctions. Obviously, Hebrews was written to the Hebrews about their Messiah. It is an important doctrinal book explaining the history of God's people Israel and how Jesus was a shadow of things to come. They missed out at His first advent and Hebrews helps point the way so they won't miss out on His second advent.
Hebrews was written to the Church. The false grace teachers say Heb 6 and 10 aren't for the Church.

If the gift of salvation is eternal, as the Bible describes it, then if we could give it back and walk away, it was never truly eternal. It was only as good as long as we kept it.

You ignore so many scripture that prove God is the one who saves and keeps us. We can never be taken out of His hand - not even by ourselves. When God says we can NEVER be lost, He means exactly that.

Your right, Heb 6 and ten do not contradict scripture. YOU INTERPRETATION of them does.

Too bad He couldn't do that for His 12 disciples, huh?

You watch people like them, If they met a Country leader or a very important person, they would dress very smart, But when it comes to Church, their attitude is, "Oh it's only God".

I think I get it. He's a believer in name-it-and-claim-it. Which would explain why the rest of his theology is so messed up.

I posted this earlier. I think you missed it:

"....The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7)

You just sinned, pal. But judging them based on their appearance.

I read the Bible, the Biblical Hebrew OT and the Biblical Greek NT, which tells us what I said about God wanting us to live a long and satisfied life, An abundant life, You cannot have an abundant life if you are sick or in pain.

Agree all the way brother with your comments on the law, my only differ is the audience and purpose behind the writing. Paul is teaching the Galatians this principle because false teachers had come in convincing them to follow parts of the law. James is writing to the twelve tribes, the nation of Israel, showing them to come out from law thinking and turn to their Messiah because the kingdom is literally at hand.
