It's funny how the words murder and gun keep cropping up together.
It's like Horse and Carriage but one is good and the other isn't.

1 Peter 2:21-23 (KJV)
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: [22] Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: [23] Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

Jesus did not even make a threat when he was tortured, suffered and abuse by the Romans and Israelites

1 Peter 4:1 (KJV)
Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Arm yourself not with weapons but with the mindset of God.

Why?

If you trust in God why would you need a gun?

If you own a gun do you trust God to protect you?
I used to own handgun and rifle. I just used them for sport, target shooting, I was good at it took part in many competitions. Then our government banned handguns and tightened up all other laws, i just gave in and sold everything, well the things I still could sell, all handguns had to be surrendered and destroyed.

Like in Iraq and Syria? Even when the fighting ends there won't be freedom.
then why not do something about it politically, since good gov't is established by God.
why not get rid of the criminals in the City of London Inc. that are calling the shots...along with Washington DC Inc. which they conquered.

poor you.

a walk around the www shows christian forums flooded with anti-gun guys since Sandy Hook.

Why are you applauding the fact Christians are being persecuted?
Hugh?
What?!?
Are not you the one who says God will take care of His own,
even if they don't do the necessary things to protect themselves?
Truly double minded in your thinking you are.
But keep spewing your gibberish.
Outright outlandish it is, and shows your true intent.
(Lenin would be proud)
(Mao Tse-tung lays a wreath at your fallen beliefs)
As all dictators do,....perishing in the flames.

Armand Hammer was an industrialist who was a monetary supporter of the communist over throw of Russia.
He supported the red overthrow of the white revolution in Russia in 1917.
B.T.W. - He and they supported gun control.
(All dictatorships and oligarchies do)
Now you learned something.......(Hopefully)

oh the Chairman...a Skull & Bones man.
a Yale fellow.

TPTB loved him dearly. taught him everything he knew.

The most authoritative life of the Chinese leader every written, Mao: The Unknown Story is based on a decade of research, and on interviews with many of Mao’s close circle in China who have never talked before — and with virtually everyone outside China who had significant dealings with him. It is full of startling revelations, exploding the myth of the Long March, and showing a completely unknown Mao: he was not driven by idealism or ideology; his intimate and intricate relationship with Stalin went back to the 1920s, ultimately bringing him to power; he welcomed Japanese occupation of much of China; and he schemed, poisoned, and blackmailed to get his way. After Mao conquered China in 1949, his secret goal was to dominate the world. In chasing this dream he caused the deaths of 38 million people in the greatest famine in history. In all, well over 70 million Chinese perished under Mao’s rule — in peacetime.

ahem...stalin brought him to power?
well, we could pretend the trail stops there...

Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it.

Get this straight iog and PS,
we will never give up our right to protect ourselves from tyrants.
Can you get that through your heads?
You two dictatorship affirmatives still haven't answered the question :
Why did Jesus tell his disciples to buy swords shortly before His death?

well back then it wasn't guns it was the sword that was the fighting weapon. And so there would be no israel no bible no nothing if they didn't have swords to go and fight there enemies and take over the lands which was a common theme in the old testament. The 2nd amendment has NOTHING to do with hunting or sport shooting. It's to arm civilians so they can protect themselves against Nazi g--vn'ts which is where the US g--v is quickly heading. Now that computers have emerged we're like the last generation that will actually seen an ounce of freedom. Freedom is on the way out. I don't have a gun myself but here's the problem. If there was an economic colapse if you don't have a gun you likely won't stand much of a chance. I'm positive God will protect his people and all that too don't get me wrong. But I think that a Gun is like "anything else out there". It's just a material object that has a purpose. You can hunt with it, defend yourself with it, and use it for target sport shooting mainly. But without one you're left vulnerable. It's not that different than knowing a storm might blow in at anytime but not having a rain coat or a shelter that you can use to protect yourself. We as Christians are not to be that irrisponsible as to not equip ourselves with the basic tools we need to survive. TPTB would love nothing more than for us to become complacent and believe that just because we currently have a modern society that no one needs guns. When nothing could be further from the truth. Infact you need them now more than ever. And it might not even be g--v that you'd have to defend against. Say there was a massive solar flare and it wipped out all the electronics and power. That would cause massive civil unrest. It would be far far worse than the aftermath of Katriena. So with no gun you'd be subject to anyone who want to kick down your door, steal your supplies and hurt you and your family. And people likely will become animalistic in nature when they're starving and it's chaos all around them, which history and wars have shown us is how people get. I'm not saying run out and buy guns but I'm not saying don't either. It's all personal preference to some degree. Again I'm for guns but I don't have any but I was sort of thinking it might not be a bad idea. But I think also we shouldn't rely entirely on the gun either, we should rely on God first and foremost.

I posted about that a couple of days ago. Jesus was quoting from the Old Testament.
