I guess it depends on the person. Some do, some are like me, I don't owns guns but I'm not opposed to it. And some are totally opposed to others owning guns.

I think the gun has been made to look almost glamorous in movies, tv, video games, etc.

That's just my opinion though. :)

Well, we do have plenty of game here, so many people hunt. In fact, last year, in one northern state alone, almost 500,000 people applied for hunting licenses and they weren't planning to hunt with slingshots.

Point being: it's irritating to us colonials when someone from a country with one of the worst citizen safery records is critical of the laws of the contry with the best safety record. Maybe we're not civilized to European standards, but to us, that doesn't compute.

American proverb: It's better to have flawed laws that work than ideal laws that don't. <smile>
