I have to embrace that verse when encountering slow drivers in the fast lane.
yes along with many others 🙂.
Don't be quick to anger but slow to speak I wonder where that just came from.

He was walking through the valley of the shadow of death but forgot to not fear no evil.
We all walk through the valley of the shadow of death. So let us as the psalmist fear no evil. And also know that He our Lord, also leads us to green pastures and still waters.

lots wife paused for
A moment
Lot paused too.

Genesis 19:16
When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the LORD was merciful to them.

You haven't understood the previous verse.

With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.”
Lot didn't obey that. he didn't take his family and flee. he hesitated, and instead the angels took him and his wife and two of his children.

And then outside the city they commanded him to go to the mountains, but he rejected that command too, and went instead to another one of the wicked cities of the plain.

If Lot's wife is damned for a single moment of hesitation why is Lot called righteous while he hesitated a dozen times?

none of them escaped Sodom by their own strength. Angels took them by the hand and carried them.

well i think you would be hesitant to 😊 if all of a sudden you where sitting at home relaxing when all of sudden two angels where looking to pull you out of your comfort zone.
Lot could have been thinking about not forgetting his toothbrush 🪥😉
But this was earlier hesitation.
The next hesitation could of been lots wife remembering someone she had left behind. Or it could have been she realised she had left the lights on at home 😊

who said anything about lots wife being dammed,
You compared her to one who did not obey the command in Egypt to keep passover, saying that the light abandoned her and moved on without her.

Did you mean by that she is saved?

Lot didn't seem comfortable or relaxed. he was fully aware that an angry, murderous mob was attacking his house & the entire area was about to be utterly destroyed.

How stupid do we presume these people to be?
your house is on fire and about to collapse and your neighbors are trying to kill you and your family - do you go back for a toothbrush or to make sure the water isn't dripping?

All believers will be judged according to their labor whether it be good or bad. I would agree, the Lord desires us to go onto good works, but many walk after the flesh and not the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

That depends on your intellect I would say 😊

Lot & his wife and the two daughters that were still in their household seem to me to be particularly significant to the OP topic,
because even though they both hesitated, and even though Lot was contrary to the angels every step of the way, divine hands reached out and grabbed all four of them and took them supernaturally out of the city -- even Lot's wife was not destroyed with the city but turned into a monument to be remembered until the last day, preserved in a pillar of salt.

they are, all four of them, a picture of salvation: protected by the messengers of God, removed from the coming destruction, preserved as a testimony: and this was not because of their individual actions or obediences but because of the Lord's mercy
