Righteousness, Justification, Faith & Law Keeping
Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
(NOTE: If righteousness comes thru law keeping, then Christ died in vain)

Galatians 2:16 A man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
(NOTE: People are justified = "Declared Righteousness by God Himself" Thru the FAITH of & in Christ. NOT thru law keeping)

Gal 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
(NOTE: God declared Abraham Righteous thru/by his FAITH)

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
(No person is justified = "Declared Righteousness by God Himself" by law keeping. Justification comes thru Faith)

14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
(NOTE: Gentiles enter into God's promise made to Abraham. By Faith placed in Christ's redemptive work)

17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
(NOTE: God made a "By Faith" PROMISE to Abraham, 430 years, before Moses give's the law to Israel. The law DOES NOT ANNUL God's earlier promise)

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
(NOTE: The law was to teach of & reveal sin. Leading to justification = "Declared Righteousness by God Himself". Which come by Faith placed in Christ's redemptive work)

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
(NOTE: Now that the laws price for sin (DEATH) has been paid by Christ. The old sin teacher (Mr. Law) is no longer needed/valid)

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
(NOTE: Everyone becomes a child of God, by Faith placed in Christ's redemptive work. Not thru law keeping)

Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
(NOTE: Now! Righteousness without law keeping is made manifest/revealed)

Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
(NOTE: Righteousness comes thru/by Faith placed in Christ's redemptive sin payment. NOT THRU/BY LAW KEEPING)

Rom 10:3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Rom 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
(NOTE: Christ's redemptive sin payment. Ends becoming righteous by law keeping)

JESUS CAME TO FULFIL THE LAW:
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
(NOTE: Anyone claiming the law has not been fulfilled. Claims Messiah failed at his mission)

WILL OF THE FATHER:
Matt 7:21 Jesus said; Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; """"but he that doeth the will of my Father"""" which is in heaven.

HOW WE DO THE WILL OF THE FATHER:
John 6:40 Jesus said; This is the will of him that sent me, that every one which """seeth the Son, and believeth on him""", may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
(NOTE: The will of the Father is: Place your Faith in the redemptive sin atoning sacrifice. Found in Christ's death (SINS PAYMENT) burial & resurrection (GODS RECEIPT PAYMENT RECEIVED)

Phil 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

2 Tim 1:9 Who hath saved us, & called us with an holy calling, not according to our works but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

Ep 2:8-9
8 By grace" are ye saved through faith not of yourselves it is the gift of God
9 Not of works lest any man should boast

Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
(NOTE: Anyone seeking justification thru law keeping. Has fallen from GRACE)
Hello FD, now really?

You could have saved yourself quite a lot of time if you read the OP here. NOW what makes everythnig you have posted come tumbling down, is that NO one here has said or BELIEVES that anyone is made RIGHTEOUS by keeping God's LAW (10 Commandments)

We are saved by GRACE through FAITH and not of ourselves it is a GIFT of God and not of WORKS lest anyman should boast. So if we are in agreement here then you have no argument. Thanks for sharing though love the scriptures.

However, if your FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE to God's LAW then you are still in your SINS and do not KNOW him who LOVES YOU and CALLS you to follow him and unless you repent and seek God for forgiveness your tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire (James 2:18; 20; 26; Matthew 7:13-23)

..............

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

Hello FD, I noticed you did not reply to the last post I sent you is there any reason for this?. It is ok you do not need to if you do not wish to maybe you can pray about it at home. Some scripture for your new post below for your consideration... This post adresses everything you have presented here.

PS this also covers your last post... :)

Sabbath abservance, Israel & Gentiles

On Mt Sinai at the 1st Pentecost, when Moses give's the Law. The Nation of Israel is born. This is a covenant between God & Israel.

Gentiles were never a part of this law covenant: Rom 2:14 (A) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law,
God's Word would disagree with you my friend. Who is God's Isreal in the NEW Covenant?

There are no gentiles believers in the NEW Covenant. Gentiles are grafted into God's Israel who the Word of God says are those that BELIEVE the Word of God and FOLLOW what God says...

Let's look at the scriptures.......

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He says not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, AND TO YOUR SEED, WHICH IS CHRIST (
Galatians 3:16)

Abraham’s seed is Israel.........

THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: FOR YOU ALL ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS AND IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAM'S SEED FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS and IF YOU BE CHRISTS, THEN ARE YOU ABRAHAM'S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE (
Galatians 3:28).

No explanation needed, believe God's Word, and again..........

FOR THEY ARE NOT ALL ISRAEL WHICH ARE OF ISRAEL,: NEITHER, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE SEED OF ABRAHAM, ARE THEY ALL CHILDREN: but in Isaac shall thy seed be called <Christ> That is, THEY WHICH ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE FLESH, THESE ARE NOT THE CHILDREN OF GOD: BUT THE CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE <those who believe> ARE COUNTED FOR THE SEED (
Romans 9:6).

FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY; NEITHER IS THAT CIRCUMCISION, WHICH IS OUTWARDS IN THE FLESH: BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY; and CIRCUMCISION IS OF THE HEART, IN THE SPIRIT, AND NOT IN THE LETTER; whose praise is not of men, but of God. (
Romans 2:28-29)

God's Israel...............

Galatians 3:28-29,
THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Colossians 3:11,
WHERE THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Romans 10:11-13,
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. FOR THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JEW OR GREEK: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.

Romans 2:28-29,
FOR HE IS NOT A JEW WHICH IS ONE OUTWARDLY; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: BUT HE IS A JEW WHICH IS ONE INWARDLY ; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

The New Covenant is for God's Israel..........

Jeremiah 31:33-4,
BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS,AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, says the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Hebrews 8:10-12,
BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Hebrews 10:14-17,
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS, AND INTO THEOR MINDS WILL I WRITE THEM; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

Galatians 3:29,
AND IF YOU BE CHRISTS THEN YOU ARE ABRAHAMS SEED AND HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE PROMISE.

The New Covenant is for God's Israel which represent God’s followers the believers. If you are not part of God's Israel you are not part of the New Covenant (
Hebrews 8:10-12).

God's Israel are those that believe the Word of God and follow it and is why Jesus says If you love me keep my commandments (
John 14:15)
My friend it is time to leave Sunday School and believe the Word of God. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us out to worship him in Spirit and in truth.

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore """the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath""", to observe the sabbath """throughout their generations""", for a perpetual covenant.

17 """It is a sign between me and the children of Israel""" for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
(NOTE: Sabbath abservance is between God & Israel. Gentiles NEVER had a law covenant w/God)
You should BELIEVE the scriptures you quoted they say that the Sabbath is a FOREVER COVENANT (NEVER ENDING). The NEW COVENANT defines God's ISRAEL as those that BELIEVE the WORD OF GOD and FOLLOW it. All scriptures provided in the previous section. Time to leave Sunday school my freind. God is a Spirit and those who he calls to worship him must worship him in Spirit and in truth.

Nehemiah 9:13 Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:

14 And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant
(NOTE: These LAW statutes & commandments: were given to & BEGAN with Moses & Israel "NOT BEFORE" after the deliverence from Egypt. Read the verses piror to 13 & 14 for futher clarity)
Well that is not true at all as we read in the scriptures.....

Genesis 26
5,
Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

Genesis 5
24, And Enoch walked with God:
and he was not; for God took him.

Genesis 6
8,
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. 9, These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

God destroys mankind because of sin......

Genesis 6
5,
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only EVIL CONTINUALLY.
6, And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7, And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8, But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

What are these CONTINUAL EVIL THOUGHTS?

Matthew 15
19,
For out of the heart proceed EVIL THOUGHTS, MURDERS, ADULTERIES, FORNICATION, THEFTS, FALSE WITNESS, BLASPHEMIES
20, These are the things which defile a man:

Evil is breaking God's Commandments in thought and actions.

Cain was punished by God for Murder......

Genesis 4
8,
And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
9, And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
10, And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
11, And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
12, When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
13, And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

links to....

1 John 3
12,
Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13, Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14, We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15, Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

The Mosaic laws for remission of sin (SACRIFICIAL SIN OFFERINGS) were also practiced BEFORE Sinai....

Genesis 4
4,
And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering.

Genesis 8
20,
And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar

SIN is the transgression of God's LAW (10 Commandments) please read Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and James 2:11. God's LAW gives us a KNOWLEDGE of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS (Romans 3:20) SIN offereings were only practiced in the OLD Covenant for the remission or forgiveness of SIN (Breaking God's 10 Commandments) If God's people did not have God's LAW why are they offering SIN offereings to God if these laws were only known about in Mt Sinai?

Abraham and his son practiced and knew about sin offerings...

Genesis 22
7,
And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?
8, And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

Exodus 10
25,
And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

Yep once again before Sinai...

The Sabbath was also kept by our first parents and also others BEFORE Sinai. The reason God gave the 10 Commandments again was being His people had been slaves in Egypt for 430 years (Exodus 12:40). God delivered his people from Egypt (the World) and needed to re-teach them his ways which were mostly forgotten by this time.

So yep God's LAW and the laws for remission of sin and burnt offerings of the OLD Covenant were indeed practiced BEFORE Sinai.

Deuteronomy 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
(NOTE: The Sabbath commandment came after the deliverence from Egypt. And was given only to the Nation of Israel) Conclusion: Sabbath observance did not precede the Law of Moses. God's requirement for ""Israel"" to keep the Sabbath does not exist until after the deliverance from Egyptian bondage. And gentiles were never a part of this Law Covenant.[/QUOTE]

Well that is not true at all either. The Sabbath was made at the 7th Day of the creation week and given to Adam and Eve. Let's look at the scriptures........

Genesis 2
1,
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2,
And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made.
3,
And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

RESTEDH7673שָׁבַת shabath
(
shaw-ɓath') v.to repose, i.e. to cease from exertion.
{used in many implied relations (causative, figurative or specific)}[a primitive root]KJV: (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep Sabbath, suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away. Some points to note from the scriptures...............

v1
God completed creation in 6 days and RESTED on the 7TH DAY
v2
God RESTED on the 7TH DAY
v3
God SET APART the 7TH DAY and made THE 7TH DAY a HOLY DAY
v2
The 7TH DAY is part of the FINISHED WORK of the CREATION WEEKLet's now look at God's 4th commandment............

Exodus 20
8,
Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
9,
Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
10,
But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
11,
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested theSEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

SABBATH H7676 שַׁבָּת shabbath
(shab-bawth') n-e. 1. intermission, a period of temporary rest.2. (specifically) the Sabbath, the seventh day being the day of rest.[intensive from H7673]KJV: (+ every) Sabbath. Root(s): H7673Now who did God make the 7th day a Holy day for? Is he making that day a Holy day for himself? Of course NOT God is already Holy. He has made the day for MANKIND as a HOLY DAY.

Let’s see what Jesus says…………

Mark 2
27,
And he said unto them, THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, and not man for the Sabbath.
The Sabbath was made for WHO? The Sabbath was made for MAN. So here we have the God of creation telling us why the 7th Day was made a Holy day. It was made for MANKIND

STRONGS Greek MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (
an'-thrō-pos) n.
1. (literally) man†-visage (i.e. a man-faced being, a man who has visibly come of age).
2. (concretely, in Hebrew) a clay being (a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). 3. (generically, in English) a human being. 4. (indefinitely) a certain man (i.e. someone).
[from G435 and ops “the countenance” (from G3700)] KJV: certain, man Root(s): G435, G3700

So the Sabbath was made for Human beings; clay beings (we are made out of the dust); male and female

So God made the 7th day of the week a HOLY day and blessed it for MAN this now ties in very nicely with the 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11) God says that it is a specific day which is the 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK that he has made to be a HOLY DAY.

Jesus says it was made Holy in the creation week for mankind. All scriptures connect and are in harmony. Genesis where God made the Day a HOLY DAY;

God’s 4th commandment to His people that says to REMEMBER the Sabbath day to KEEP it a HOLY DAY and Jesus stating that the Sabbath was made for MANKIND (Human beings; male and female).

Now if God made the Sabbath for mankind then obviously Adam and Eve had the Sabbath the GREEK Word for MAN G444 ἄνθρωποςanthropos (an'-thrō-pos) n. is a clay being(a classification of beings made in the image of God, who made them male and female). There is only two people made out of clay (dust) and that is Adam and Eve.

Yep God's Sabbath given to mankind in the Garden of Eden and made in the Creation WEEK. Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE it. Those that do not BELIEVE God's Word are UNBELIVERS and UNBELIEVERS have no part in God's Kingdom.

Now I have taken some time to address all of your posts. Please if you disagree please state your case and your scriptures? Simply ignoring my posts does not make the scriptures go away that disagree with you.

...............

Romans 14:5-12King James Version (KJV)

5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

did Paul say not to esteemeth every day alike?

you say that you not SDA, do you believe hell is eternal?
Paul is talking about what you/man/woman esteem to be right/ what you consider right...just because YOU have your own opinion or own understanding does NOT make it right....do you grasp that ?
When you have a different opinion from GOD you show rour spirit of disobedience and rebellion. Scripture says if two walk together they are AGREED...you are not walking with God if you have a different opinion. When you insist 'every day is alike you are CONTRAdicting God and make Him out to be a liar because HE says the Sabbath day is holy and not every day.

The second death in the lake of fire is eternal !

If Paul meant the Sabbath, a Sabbath or a specific day in relation to worship, he would of had to say so due to the high regard for these days to avoid any doubt. The Sabbath is not mention. To assert that is what he meant is to assume. To assume is to add what is not in the text.

Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
(Deu 4:2; Rev 22:18 KJV)

ahem...
These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do: For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy day, a sabbath of complete rest to the LORD; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath day.
(Exodus 35:1-3)

This is what the LORD meant: Tomorrow is a sabbath observance, a holy sabbath to the LORD. Bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over put aside to be kept until morning.
(Exodus 16:23)

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
"But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying,
‘You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you.
‘Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you.
Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death'"

(Exodus 31:12-14)

excuse me but how can you say these are not God's commandments?
it appears to be clearly a boldface lie to say that.
perhaps you meant to say
"
I choose to ignore what God commanded about those things" ?
Yes...strict OT observance of the letter ! Is that what you get from Jesus NT teaching of the Spirit ?

For the priesthood being changed there is being made of necessity a change also of the law. Please note...a change of the law - not an abolition as mistaken christians are trying to foist on us.

God's Word would disagree with you my friend. Who is God's Isreal in the NEW Covenant?
Lets stick with the Sabbath. And your made up position that NT Gentiles believers must keep it.

You claimed scripture disagree with my post.

My post was ALL scripture!

Here is the post again:

Gentiles were never a part of this law covenant: Rom 2:14 (A) For when the Gentiles, which have not the law,
Exodus 31:16 Wherefore """the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath""", to observe the sabbath """throughout their generations""", for a perpetual covenant.

17 """It is a sign between me and the children of Israel""" for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
(NOTE: Sabbath abservance is between God & Israel. Gentiles NEVER had a law covenant w/God)

And was given only to the Nation of Israel)

Conclusion:
Sabbath observance did not precede the Law of Moses. God's requirement for ""Israel"" to keep the Sabbath does not exist until after the deliverance from Egyptian bondage. And gentiles were never a part of this Law Covenant.

How do these verses disagree with me? It's your position that scripture disagrees with

Carpet bombing of the Sabbath discussion with dozens of unrelated verses makes an honest debate impossible.

The 1st time the word Sabbath shows up in scripture is Exodus16:23. Yet you talk about Abel's sacrifice. Again, NO mention of Sabbath in scripture until Ex 16:23

The Sabbath is a Mosaic law that applied to The Nation of Israel only!

My post began with this verse:

Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, """"which have not the law"""", do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

The other posted verses make it clear. The Sabbath keeping statute is given to & ONLY to, The Nation of Israel.

Can you speak directly to the scripture's posted?

Can you explain how the scripture I posted disagree with me? I didn't write them. They are a direct copy & paste from the KJV.

If you prefer a different version, feel free to post the above from it.

When you insist that Sabbath is ONLY for Israel you are right 'in a way...but not in another.
Firstly Sabbath was made for Man ! secondly a 'mixed multitude (non Israelites) came out of Egypt who being in close communion with Israel all came under the same Law Ex 12....but the requirement was 'close association'....
as is still TODay when one has to become a 'spiritual Israelite Gal 3v28...and obviously take on everything God has for them....including the Covenant. God has never established any with gentiles, christians or strangers alienated from the Commonwealth of Israel Eph 2. Rom 2v29

No need to be upset my friend. There is no made up position. I said the scriptures I posted disagree with your interpretation of the scripture you posted. I did not say that the the scriptures I posted disagree with the scriptures you posted. The scriptures I posted disagree with your interpretation of the scriptures and these were God's Words my friend not mine.

My post was ALL scripture!
No my friend you post was not all scripture. You posted some scriopture then you put your own interpretation of the scriptures in your conclusion section of each of your scripture points. I adressed each of your conclusion points with scripture that disagree with your conclusions. So the scriptures I provided in my post that disagree with you were ALL Scripture.

Now you have not responded to any of my posts or the scriptures in the posts I have sent you that disagree with you.

If you disagree with my posts and the scriptures in them, then please state your case and respond to my posts and the scriptures in them like I have done with your posts and the scriptures you provided.

If you cannot then simply saying you do not believe the posts I have sent you and the scriptures in the posts does not make my posts and the scriptures in them magically disappear. You are only putting your word over the Word of God. We must believe and follow the Word of God over the words of men because only God's Word is true.

Here is the post again:

Here you go please adress the post and all the scriptures in them I sent you earlier that disagree with you that I have already responded to in POST # 3762 (LINKED).

Simply ignoring the post I sent you that adressed your re-post does not make the scriptures I sent you magically dsiappear my friend. Only God's WOrd is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it.

...............

Hello FD, you are a funny one indeed why are you re-posting the same thing over and over when I have already in your post above already?

Simply repasting your previous post when I have already addressed it does not make my post dissapear. It only show you do not know how to respond to all of the scriptures I have sent you that disagree with you.

I can do the same as you have done and re-paste everything again but it wold just look the the same as the post I already made that adressed your post in the first place ( POST # 3762 )

Gentiles were aren't & never were under Mosaic law

The Law of Moses was given only to the Israelites. Not Gentiles.

And """ALL""" the Israelites ADREED:

Ex 11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that "the LORD doth put a difference between the Nations and Israel".
(NOTE: The LORD put a difference between the Nations/gentiles and Israel)

Ex 19:3 God, spoke to Moses saying, Thus shalt thou "say to the house of Jacob" "and tell the children of Israel";
(NOTE: God tells Moses, say to the """house of Jacob/Isreal""" and tell the children of Israel. Gentiles have NO PART in this law covenant)

The Mosaic Laws are given by God, to Moses, for ISRAELITES only.

Gentiles/Heathen/Other Nations are """NOT""" part of these covenants.

On Mt Sinai, the ISRAELITES (NO Gentiles) agree to """ALL""" the Lord commands them.

Ex 19:7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people (NO Gentiles here), and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.

8 And "all the people (NO Gentiles here) answered together", and said, "All that the LORD hath spoken we will do"
(NOTE: """ALL""" the Israelites AGREE! NO Gentiles, NONE)

Exodus 24:7 Moses took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
(NOTE: They replied in unison, together, """"Naaseh venishma!"""" That is, We will do and we will hear)

You post Gal & Rom scripture. Both epistles are a vigorous attack against: The Pre-Cross gospel/doctrine of works.

God, Dividing Walls, Man & The Answer

God, Dividing Walls, Man & The Answer

Eph 2:14 Jesus Christ is our peace, who hath made both (Jew & Gentile) one, & hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us

Here Paul is refering to the dividing wall in the temple in Jerusalem. The wall separated the court of the Gentiles from the rest of the temple. It excluded the Gentiles from the inner sanctuaries

A picture of the spiritual barrier that stands between God and man which precludes man’s access into God’s presence.

Jews could go beyond the dividing wall. They had access through their God given sacrificial system

A shadow of Messiah, the One who would make peace & remove this divide

There are others divides between God & man:

Gods perfect Holiness, Isa 57:15, Isa 6:3, Hab 1:13

The sinfullness of man, Isa 59:1-2, Rom 3:23

Sins penalty; God’s perfect justice must act against man to charge him as guilty & under the penalty of sin with a debt to pay & a sentence to be carried out.

The Old Testament Law functioned as a bill of indictment. It shows man guilty and under the penalty of sin. Rom 3:19-20, Gal 3:19 & 22, Col 2:14

Scripture declares Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

A sinless Christ's (1 Pet 2:22, 2 Cor 5:21, Heb 4:15, 1 Jn 3:5 1 Pet 1:19) willing sacrifice. Fulfilled/met, Paid for and removes the laws requirment for all sin. Once a believers sins have been removed, there is no transgression of the law

Man’s only hope is in the righteousness of God which is supplied thru faith in the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:21-5:21

Spiritual death is another divide, Gen 2:17, 1 Cor 15:22, Rom 5:12, Eph 2:1 & 5, Col 2:13

Mans unrighteousness, Isa 64: 6 We are all as an unclean thing & all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags & we all do fade as a leaf & our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away

We see here that own self righteous works are worthless. The one & only answer to overcoming these divides

Is accept Gods gracious offer given us in Jesus Christ. And to place our faith in Sacrificial Sin Atoning Death, Burial & Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ

Ephesians 2:
8 "By grace" are ye saved" "through faith" " not of yourselves" it is the "gift" of God

9 "Not of works" "lest any man should boast"

Titus 3:5 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done" but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration & renewing of the Holy Spirit

II Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us & called us with an holy calling "not according to our works" but "according to his own purpose and grace", which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.

No, Nothing in that post speaks to gentiles & Sabbath observance.

I have concluded from our exchanges. That this discussion has been, is & will continue to be fruitless.

I will continue to post the truth. But, will no longer debate this with you. Good luck & have a great day. FD

It's called wasting your time beating a dead horse. The Gospel remains under attack by SDA's and those in the Hebrew Roots movement who play the same game in salvation as every other false movement of Christendom. They profess to teach that salvation is by grace through faith, but then redefine this in a way that is contrary to New Testament doctrine. Even though they may even deny this, they teach that salvation is by "grace plus law, faith plus works." Their doctrine of salvation is a subtle mixture of law and grace that is a perversion of the Gospel (Galatians 1:6-9). :(

Hello MMD now that is not true my friend. How can you know what the Word of God is if you do not know what the Gospel is? Only God's Word is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW him who calls us in LOVE to LOVE.

Those breaking and teaching against the LAW and the Prophets are those that Jesus describes as being least in God's Kingdom of Heaven because they will not see it.

Teaching against God's LAW and the prophets is something that Jesus and the Apostle never did. Those who reject God's Words in order to follow the teachinigs and traditions of men will have the same Word bare witness against them come judgement day my friend. This will be sad for you unless you repent and BELIEVE the Gospel. Sin will keep all who practice it out of God's Kingdom.

the 10 commandments mention nothing about loving God and neighbor. those would be in the so-called "civil law / disregardable law / statutes / ordinances / additions by Moses not God" that we're being taught in this thread are what was actually nailed to the cross.

just another friendly FYI :)
Many have been blinded by their hard hearts and stiff necks to what the Spirit saith in Colossians. Perhaps even those here advocating through the Spirit the import of the Decalogue from the Tables of stone to the fleshly tables of our hearts. And yes this import includes the Sabbath.

Do they even see it? The power of the Gospel as the Spirit put it forth in Colossians.

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

For the expectation which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (capable) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness (sin), and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the expectation of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven;

Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the expectation of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ. As ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Divine bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting to the ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
(Deu 32:1-2; Col 1:5,6, 9-11, 12-14, 18-23, 25-29, 2:5-14)

In summary....He that have the ear hear the expectation which is laid up for you in heaven. The word of the truth of the gospel. Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit. Be filled with the knowledge of HIS will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That we walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (capable) to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness (sin), and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the expectation of the gospel. For us, to fulfil the word of God. The mystery which is Christ in you, the expectation of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. Beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith. The circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.

Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass: For the LORD our GOD will circumcise our hearts and the hearts of our seed. For righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ (Anointed; GOD's commands and statutes written in the Book of the Law. In other words the Word; the Divine utterances) down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ (Anointed; GOD's commands and statutes written in the Book of the Law. In other words the Word; the Divine utterances) again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word (the Divine utterances; Christ the Anointed; GOD's commands and statutes written in the Book of the Law.) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: (that thou mayest do it) that is, the word of faith, which we preach.

That which is stated in Romans 10 was first prophesied in Deut. 30. It was GOD’s intention for us to receive Christ, that He work through us since the time of Moses if not before.
In regard to Col 2:14 it is the judgements in the Book of the Law that are against us and contrary to us. The statutes and commandments contained in the Book of the Law (Christ; the Word) were to be in our hearts. To be who we are! ) that is, the word of faith, which we preach. That is the GOSPEL!

The judgements which are not placed in our hearts per Deut 30:10-14; Rom 10:6-8.They are not mentioned. They were mandated in the Book of the Law because of our refusal to be circumcised by the circumcision made without hands; the circumcision of Christ in the putting off the body sin; the flesh. The circumcision GOD had intended for us since the beginning.
The text does not say that the handwriting to the ordinances was nailed to the cross. It says that the ones that are contrary to us and against us were.

Blotting out the handwriting to the ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. (Col 2:14)

How can that which was placed in our hearts be contrary to us?

If we receive Christ, the Decalogue, HIS Commandments and Statutes contained in the Book of the Law IN our hearts we will not willfully transgress that to which we are. We are a New Creature in Christ Jesus; behold all things are new and of GOD. That is the GOSPEL.

This place is overrun with SDA's, SNM's, HRM &c. Some deny they are SDA, which may be true, but the fact remains they are some branch off of that cult.

I had a chaplain tell me that SDA's are OK because, as he stated; "Man, they believe in the pre-trib rapture just like we do!"

What is wrong with people man!?

I told him, Really, so they're like you in eschatology and so it's all good?!?!?!? It's their soteriology that is dangerous and heretical that damns men's soul's, not their eschatology!

(no one take this as if I'm pre-trib or supporting it, that's not the point!)

see, here is a major thing. the Old covenant and New covenant are different. when Jesus healed the leper in Matthew 8, he said to the leper " go and show yourself to the priest and offered the gift that MOSES commanded, as a testimony to them"

now, in Leviticus 14, the whole chapter is lead by " the Lord said to Moses '

so, was Jesus confused about who said what? did he forget that he told Moses how to heal lepers?

or could it be that Jesus came to do a NEW THING, establish a New Covenant , that is different than the old?
