5. Outreach and service

If you knew me, you would know I volunteer a lot. God has blessed my family so that my husband earns the money to support us. So I spend most of my week helping out at the schools. I tutor 3 middle schooler later today (11-1). 9 youth at our church from 4-5pm. Coach a super sleigh teN at the elementary school three days a week. Watch toddlers for a couple hours Monday and countless other things. Soon we will be helping out at cub scout camp.

Last weekend we did the great day of service and cleaned the church Windows.

Service is like breathing for my family.

However, for these thirty minutes I try and challenge myself to call, text or write a letter to people and remind them that God loves them. Just a word of encouragement to whoever God lays on my heart to contact.
.It's amazing to see and hear how God can work through us if we just take the time to listen.

I have to go about my day now and feel kind of odd sharing personal things. I think I prefer discussing the Bible, lol.

Howeve I have found amazing things happen when I step out of my comfort zone and listen and do what God lays on my heart to do.

But that's not what the person who I was replying to meant. He said that the Jerusalem council's advice to not eat food sacrificed to idols was the way of Yah. It's not. It was the way of men:

The way of Yah is that nothing a person eats is able to defile him. Food is irrelevant to a holy life.
How can one openly reject the Word's of the Christ and still call themselves Holy? How can religious man create their own Holy and un-Holy, Clean and un-clean, their own images of God in the likeness of some long haired Playgirl centerfold model and place Jesus' name on it?

It was not man that created Holy and clean, unholy and unclean. God did. Shall I ignore Him and His Words to follow ancient religious traditions?

I am not advocating everyone to do as I do but I wanted to answer How God has lead me to keep every day Holy into him.

Or HOW he has helped me.

For years I was okay with attending church whenever I had time. Then God laid it on my heart to attend every week, then even more than that.

Recently God has moved me to set aside time every day for Him and His work.

In that manner find Rest with Him every day.

It's been a blessing for me and I get to see God working in the world around me. i have more peace and not through listening to Him each day.

Like I said, not being legalistic about it but God tells me I should share.

.even though I am some what reluctant because this forum can be quite cruel at times.

So in Jan the pastor was preaching about Time and Talent forms and pleadging not only money but time, talent and prayers to help the body grow.

It had me thinking about tithes and how it's been 10%.

There is 24 hours in a day, we should spend 10% of that in service to God. Two and half hours a day.

It was a challenge for myself to dedicate two and half hours to God in the beginning but not so much anymore.

God has shown me how to give more and more each day in service to him instead of to myself and my desires.
.it's why I started this thread.

Twofold.

First to silence those condemning others for worshipping God on any day.

Second to encourage everyone to worship God every day.

I made a list of five spiritual practices I would do for at least 30 minutes each day. I will list them in my next post
You seem to have a lot of questions in every post and each one refers to how you see it and what you want...it's not bad and I agree with much of what you say.
But I don't know if you have noticed that very little actually refers to what GOD wants, as for inst focusing on HIS HOLY DAY....it's all about every day or any day without any scriptures to support it ! you may think that is better than what God says but it is 'meddling, deflecting and negating from GOD ! There is still a lot of earthly/human/natural reasoning in you (me and everyone else too) that 'protrudes AGAINST God and is seen in your/our unwillingness to submit to HIS WILL !
I am not condemning Ariel nor is God but rather CORRECTING...which He does to all of us...it's NOT judgement or condemnation, please believe that.
God loves us and wants us without spot or wrinkle..so let us foremost focus on HIS ONE Holy DAY when HE Personally is our teacher...not in any way perverted or polluted with our own opinions.

Could you give up this 'obsession with any day /every day...there is no word from God on it ? let Him purify you and cleanse you from human ideas and the Sabbath from polluting it with sunday.

Let us examine the year of Jubilee and maybe you might get some insight.

We can start with the Sabbatical year...

https://www.biblestudytools.com/dictionary/sabbatical-year/

Sabbatical year
every seventh year, during which the land, according to the law of Moses, had to remain uncultivated ( Leviticus 25:2-7 ; Compare Exodus 23:10 Exodus 23:11 Exodus 23:12 ; Leviticus 26:34 Leviticus 26:35 ). Whatever grew of itself during that year was not for the owner of the land, but for the poor and the stranger and the beasts of the field. All debts, except those of foreigners, were to be remitted ( Deuteronomy 15:1-11 ). There is little notice of the observance of this year in Biblical history. It appears to have been much neglected ( 2 Chronicles 36:20 2 Chronicles 36:21 ).

21 The land enjoyed its sabbath rests; all the time of its desolation it rested, until the seventy years were completed in fulfillment of the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah.

The land enjoyed it's SABBATH rest.

WHAT do you think the Bible means in this verse?

If you don't understand how you can keep the Sabbath EVERY day. Then you do not have a biblical understanding of what the Sabbath is at all.

You have swallowed the lies of man made tradition, yet condemn others for your same errors.

You see it's not a DAY that advances knowledge but the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT.

In the past people had to go to the Temple to be in God's presence....TODAY our bodies are HIS TEMPLE and we have the Holy spirit to teach and guide us.
Agree....but only if we are obedient Acts 5v32....or else it's a false christ we are warned of appearing as an angel of light.

Do you obey God? Do you search scriptures yourself or do you rely on the words of men and what they teach you?

there you go again...how can we have a discussion if you see everything as condemnation instead of correction ? last time I read scripture 'Jesus was/is LORD of the Sabbath...not sunday or every day. where are your scriptures ?
you can't make something up and call it scriptural Ariel...it's only your own understanding, can't you see ?

ariel, all due respect, I have been interacting with this group for months- they do not care about Biblical truth. they have their own religion. they just cheery pick verses, out of context, with no consideration for chronological order.
they use the Bible to make theology instead of using it AS theology.

you mean like how your sda cult group makes up that gentiles were under the law, which they never were?

So Jesus is only Lord one day a week?

You need scripture to see that God is God always?

Well that isn't biblical either for God gave us teachers as part of His ministry and a part of being the Body of Christ.

However he also told us to check for ourselves of those men are teaching with accordance to scripture.

Which it sounds doubtful that you have.

If you which to "correct" me, show me first that you have the knowledge of,the Bible you claim to.
.tell me how Daniel worshipped during the Babylonian exile?

YOU wanted to discuss Ariel..don't let's have animosity between us. I understand a lot of what you are saying and agree with it....but your posts reg the Sabbath lack scriptural support.

We can't have a true discussion until you admit to the possibility of being wrong and actualky look at the verses and listen to what I actually said and not what you think I said.
