Who prevented this person from losing salvation? Men or God? :)
This is what I was getting at. The bottom line of your argument is that the believer can never stop believing. IOW, he always will satisfy the condition for always being saved - BELIEVING.

You are like me in that I believe that only the believing person is and will remain saved. You deviate from that by adding that the believer will never stop believing. I believe that he can. Jesus talks about those who can. But you say they can't.

Ephesians 1:13-14 says Christians are sealed with the Holy Spirit. We can grieve him, but he will abide with us forever (John 14:16).
Amen! Believers are sealed UNTO/FOR the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30).

I said they can't lose salvation BECAUSE OF GOD. If it depended on us, we easily lost it.

...if you keep believing.

If you want to argue that believers will always keep believing, then fine. At least you agree there is a condition for being and staying saved.

But Jesus talks very clearly about believers being able to not believe anymore. Of course, you side step that by insisting 'believing' in those cases doesn't really mean true believing (because true believers can't lose their salvation-circular reasoning). I'm just curious why Jesus warns us to not cause those who don't really believe to stumble and go to the eternal fire.

How long must we stop believing to lose our salvation? :) Those who don't believe are not his sheep (John 10:26)

Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

John 10:28-29 gives the answer.
no it isn't

I don't think you actually know but you do know what I am talking about

I'll just wait and see what happens because time reveals all

I don't think people are really paying attention to how you respond

they should though

I'm done asking. I have my answer

carry on

1 John 2:19
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Hebrews 10:39
39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

______

the same way we know our father on earth

we know our Father in heaven

this isnt just something you can stop believing
