I didn't say money was helping. I know it isn't for the better part. But people give nonetheless. If it ends up in the hands of militias instead of those it's intended to help that isn't the fault of the people who give it. Why don't you ask Bob Geldof what's been happening?

You haven't done a starvation thread. So go and give it a try then you can come back here and scream about it if it fails.
You most certainly inserted that it is by saying this below

(Lucy-Pevensie, post:
The sheer amount of money that goes to charities to help the hungry worldwide would be evidence against your assertion.)

As Christians we should be aware of all the wrong things in the world Not just when it makes the media.

and probably why I’m not going to make a thread on one issue of people dying of hunger, because I know it’s more than just that and making a virus thread is fear mongering.

Don't be absurd.

Our hope is in The Lord through the virus. As it should be in all things.

You appear to be behaving in a deliberately disruptive manner. For what purpose I don't know.
If you think the virus is a hoax that's fine. Many people do. But there is no need to berate people who take it seriously.
You could be wrong.
Did I say it was a hoax you have a wild imagination and love to twist I see.

wrong about what people in panic mode, really yea ok. panic on serious Christian.

your hope might be through a virus not me, speak for yourself

No. The issue was that you were claiming people don't care. The fact that so much money goes to charity is evidence that they DO care.
Any other distraction is irrelevant to the point.

I don't know what you think people owe you.

I'm beginning to think you must have learning difficulties.
I didn't twist anything and I'm NOT panicking.

GOD GETS US THROUGH TROUBLE. You don't understand that? Read the Bible. It's all in there.
That was the subject of the OP

Yes I get that no doubt you and others are more concerned with 4000 dead instead of 9 million dead, that is your reasoning.

I don’t believe you give two cents about other issues in the world only what pops up on your TV screen.

the proof in your words, go make a thread about the hunger, this thread is about a virus.

I think the reaction is part of the plan, the virus is just the catalyst.

My question is far are they going to take this. Events are being postponed or cancelled, revenue is being lost.

Is this just the start, are more businesses going to start closing and if so for how long? Economically, how much of this can we take.

It has gone farther than I thought it would. It seems like this is more than just the typical ‘fear mongering” of the past.
Some states have already declared a state of emergency. And as to be expected at this stage after the media has scared enough people, residents of those states are going nuts. Stores are nearly bare in the paper goods department, water, milk, bread, basically, all staples are gone.

In our town Walmart trucks are rolling out because the next town over has the their supply warehouse. The downside about Walmart and Sam's Club is, much of their inventory is imported from China.

If you have a lot of extra money to spare, check the stock market. Those stocks going down now will soar after this is over. Buy low, enjoy the profits when it goes high.
I'd have a fortune if I could have bought Martha Stewart's stock when she was driven off to serve her prison term. Seven cents a share! I still wince when I think of the possibilities had I had a free $10 thousand.

Young healthy people aren't at risk as much for this strain of Corona. It is the elderly and those who suffer medical issues already, especially if they're elderly, that are at the highest risk.
A friend of mine thinks this is the culling of Kissenger's "useless eaters", as he called them in the past. Especially after his great aunt passed on in hospital from a malady that wasn't life threatening for that precious 98 year old. It's government, I put nothing past that animal. Let's hope though that is not that voracious. :(

Hospitals are the worst place to be if you're already infirm. No fresh air. Just recycled air circulated throughout.
Reminds me of the plague when Dr. Nostradamus sought to bring hut isolated sick people outside into the fresh air and sunshine and fed them rose hips and also as a tea. And with fresh water to drink. Made quite a difference. Nothing about that has changed these many centuries later. Fresh air and sunshine work wonders.

God be with everyone.

Interestingly enough there is little or no infection with this virus in Africa or India. Nothing or very little in South America either. And COVID-19 is on the decline in China, South Korea, and Japan.
I still think we should be praying. I'm sure you agree about that. The virus itself may not be the biggest challenge we are facing. The Indian government has suspended all visas as of today. Some countries are closing borders (Czech Republic, Poland) Spain has declared a state of emergency. Public gatherings are being cancelled everywhere. I think half of London worked from home today. And they are rationing some food items.

Perhaps some good can even come of it? for those who like borders ( like me ) perhaps in the long term-when hopefully the virus will have dissipated there might be a push back on the globalisation agenda across nations? One thing this situation seems to be doing is exposing just what a bad idea open-borders lawlessness is.

Perhaps you should realize, before you start judging others and where there concerns lays, that this COVID - 19 will take its biggest toll on the very people who at risk for starvation because of their weakened immune system.

China took drastic measures..bolting people inside their homes...
According to one report Chinese and North East Asians are more susceptible to this strain. At the same it is difficult to get the true picture from the Chinese government, since they are even holding the US responsible for Wuhan. That is a typical Communist tactic.

Remember God is in control and sees this happening. Do not fear, be wise, avoid areas of disease contamination, and look for opportunities for ministry. Basically just keep doing what we were doing all along. Just putting it in perspective.

You could help me out. Show where 11th said they put hope in the Corona virus. Those words, please as that is what you are claiming she's said in this thread. Thanks.
What does the title of thread say? And she is defending the concept, so yea she believes it.

the title should have said hope in the Lord period no matter what is happening rather walking through the valley of death or not

I really just think @KelbyofGod was speaking figuratively
...not in a literal sense.

Meaning when can use this virus as an situation to draw closer God.

I really cannot see the issue @JamOn is so upset about ......people have different ways of expressing themselves.
