Re: How old were you when you became SAVED/accpeted Christ as your Lord & Savior??
John the Baptist was OT, not NT. The NT was not UNTIL Jesus. There is no recording of Holy Spirit infilling a baby in the NT, unless you count Jesus Himself.
Come on Maggie, you are smarter than that
.
It is true that John the Baptist was OT, but so ? It proves nothing. There's no record in the NT of an American being filled with the Spirit either, or an Australian or a British person, or a 101 year old person. You mention the difference between OT and NT. But in fact, according to the NT, God promised to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, no distinctions are given as to age, sex, gender, colour, denomination etc. In the NT and in the same age we are in today, there is greater access to the Spirit since the NT and Christ died for the sins of the world. A babies sins have already been atoned for, therefore there is nothing stopping the Spirit of grace from residing upon that baby or young child. It's the same Holy Spirit, it's the same God, between OT and NT, so I don't quite see your points about John the baptist being OT, means it somehow cannot happen today.
