This is a video depiction of how God dealt with sin, the old way.

When one Jew sins, he brings a lamb to the high priest. I'll let the video fill in the rest of the details.

I always find these verses fascinating as they express how Jesus' blood is not common like the blood of bulls and goats, and how His sacrifice is sufficient otherwise He would've suffered since the foundation of the world (because He is that very sacrifice).

Hebrews 9:22-28 King James Version (KJV)

22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Thank you for posting this Abigail.
I've seen this before and it brought tears to my eyes then just as it did now while watching it.
Tears of JOY and thankfulness to Jesus for dying for us the way He did and taking our sins away as far as the east is from the west remembering them no more.

A picture says a thousand words for sure. I can raise my hands in praise to be reminded again of what Jesus has done for us. And Jesus doesn't need to be killed over and over again. His perfect one time blood sacrifice saves for all time.

He is also our Great High Priest who lives after the power of an endless life. He is perfect and because of Jesus we are made perfect in Him. Back then when the high priests went into the Holy of holies., they sometimes didn't come out because of some sin. And then the whole nation suffered. Or the good ones died eventually and new high priest had to take their place.

But Jesus was and is the Great High Priest who lives after the power of an endless life and always will make intercession for the saints. AMEN AMEN!! Thank you again Abilgail for posting such a good video. Blessings sister!

Its also a profound thought to consider that there is no remission of sin without the shedding of blood. People often espouse all of these actions that need to be done in order to be forgiven (be it water baptism, penance, sin confession, etc) and yet scripture is clear on the requirement for forgiveness. Bloodshed.

I happened upon a verse a long time ago that made an impact on me in the discussion of our sins and their current forgiveness.

1 Corinthians 15:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

The crux to our faith is the risen Christ, and our forgiveness of sin dependent upon His sacrifice. To think that no mention of the many practices people associate with forgiveness of sin are here mentioned. It is quite simple. Christ and Him crucified. If He is not risen, our faith is in vain, and we are yet in our sins. Simplicity at its finest.

AMEN sister!! Jesus made a way. HE is the way and now there is nothing that comes between us and Him. Nothing can ever separate us from HIS love! I think this song goes well with what's going on in this thread:

Oh happy day (oh happy day)
Oh happy day (oh happy day)
When Jesus washed (when Jesus washed)
When Jesus washed (when Jesus washed)
When Jesus washed (when Jesus washed)

He washed my sins away (oh happy day)
Oh happy day (oh happy day)

He taught me how to watch, fight and pray, fight and pray
And live rejoicing every, everyday

Oh happy day

The blood of animals never took away one sin, but their obedience in doing so postponed their sins till the cross. (Hebrews 10:4).

This is too good a video to let go into old threads. So I'm re posting. Blessings!
