This is a good example of misapplying Scripture in order to promote an agenda. How can it be claimed that anyone is "adding" to Scripture if there is an actual doctrine which is found in the Bible? I have already shown you that the doctrine of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture was first announced by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself just before His crucifixion. So what you have been doing for quite a while is SUBTRACTING from the Bible and making Christ a liar.
You have quoted 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 several times without any indication that you even know what is presented there. So kindly stop posting the passages about adding and subtracting to the Word of God until you truly understand what exactly is being said.
People who attack this doctrine generally have no clue about its significance in God's plan of salvation. They have been influenced by some naysayers who also had no clue about this teaching. But anyone who is serious about understanding spiritual things will be eager to search out all the passages relating to the Pre-Tribulation Rapture as well as the passages regarding the Tribulation (and why it has no relationship to the Resurrection/Rapture).
You will also hear this lame excuse that the word "rapture" is not found in the Bible. Neither is the word "trinity" and neither is the word "deity". So what? These words have acquired very specific meanings and should be accepted for what they are.
Brother Nehimiah6, Peace to you in Christ and in the Holy Spirit.
You have not brought forth any such scripture whereby 'pre-trib rapture'
has come out of the Mouth of God.
You seek to add to God's words in John 14: 1-4
Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
This passage of scripture does not speak of any pre-trib rapture whatsoever - this adding to God's words.
By the words of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT = It is IMPOSSIBLE for a pre-trib rapture -
Anyone who makes such a claim is speaking falsehood
against the SPIRIT of TRUTH and the words of Christ.
The LORD says: These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
The HOLY SPIRIT says: And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting
them to continue in the faith, and
saying,
“We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”
The LORD and the HOLY SPIRIT said:
I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and kingdom and perseverance that are in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and my testimony about Jesus. On the Lord’s day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,
These are
just THREE Scripture passages that bear witness to the
TRUTH and are a clear warning and rebuke to any and all who seek to prophesy a falsehood.
Turn away from falsehood and submit your mind and heart fully unto God and He will Lift you UP from the carnal mind of man.
Our LORD does not want you or anyone to be held accountable for speaking a falsehood against HIM and HIS Words.
(1) And to wait for his Son from heaven, (2) whom he raised from the dead,
even Jesus, (3) which delivered us from the wrath to come.
1 Thessalonians 1:10
1.) wait for the Coming of the LORD
2.) the RESURRECTION
3.) Deliverance from His wrath
the Apostle Paul certifies before God this Order as he states it emphatically again:
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive
and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
After that we which are alive
and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
