No, I didn't think that I was suggesting that. After we are born again, God sees us in Jesus, so He sees us as perfect, never having sinned at all.
Here is what I saw.

No, I didn't think that I was suggesting that. After we are born again, God sees us in Jesus, so He sees us as perfect, never having sinned at all. The point I was trying to make is that sometimes people believe Jesus died for the sins we committed yesterday, but tomorrow is a different story. That is why I make the point that Jesus didn't just die for sins, He died for sinners.. for people.
Ok.

Jesus died for the sins of the sinners.
Therefore no longer sinners in the eyes of God when people repent of unbelief in Jesus.

Read the Bible. Every day all year, every day. There is so much to build your faith!

Your faith is the faith Jesus gave to you. Not to condemn, but if you think of it as Jesus' faith, then why would you doubt it? You did not save yourself, it was a gift of God!

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Eph 2:8-10

Once God saves you, he promised he will never leave or forsake you! Hebrews 13:5

God also promises that he will not let go, but will keep shaping and transforming you into his image till he returns.

"For I am sure of this very thing, that the He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus." Phil 1:6

Romans 8 is great to read. It shows that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Read it, memorize it. Hold onto it.

Try and forget about your faith, think about Jesus, and his death in the cross for your sins. Remember that no one is perfect, no one makes it to God because of their their own works, deeds or even faith. God gives it to us as ours, but he did it all.

I could give you loads more Scriptures. Send me a PM if you want to chat about this with me!!
Thank you Angela. I sent you a pm.

OK so you're not sure that Jesus receives you.

Well with that we ask the question would Jesus not be sincere to us in his statements?

One thing I've always liked in the way Jesus talked was when he'd use the word, over and over and over again.....VERILY.

Many times he's even say it twice, as in "Verily, verily I say unto you....."

The sound of the word seems almost poetic but it's not meant to be. It's where we get the word verified, verification, or it is this way and none other! Or it's a guarantee without even a shadow of a doubt, or to say it in a modern way whatever Jesus said we can take it to the bank.

So....what are the things Jesus said? We ask is he honest? Sincere? Would he say one thing and come back and say well no....maybe not for you! I think we know he wouldn't. Well what did he say?

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matt 11:28

And the one who comes to me I will in now way cast out Jn 6:37

So it seems to me Cherie that you'd be a part of ALL in Matt 11:28 correct? If you or me aren't a part of ALL in Matt 11:28 then it'd have to mean we must be from another world for it was to this world that he said that. So....are you open to have me convince you that you're an alien from another planet? Don't think so. Good news then....HE RECEIVES YOU! :)
Thank you. It was nice reading this post. I am familiar with John 6:37. It is one I have often gone to. It is a beautiful verse. Matthew 11:28-30 is wonderful too.

I think you make a great point about the sincerity of Jesus in his words. It is something to contemplate not just with his words in the Gospels but the Bible as a whole. Time after time God’s word is proved faithful.

The sincerity of Jesus' words? I'm confused. Are you doubting Scripture and that is why you doubt?

@Rockson said would Jesus not be sincere to us in his statements? I think @Rockson made an excellent point here. Jesus is true to his words.

Ok, I’m confused now. I believe Jesus is the way, truth and life. I didn’t deny this.

I don’t understand why you say you wasted your time. I was trying to explain what I meant by my previous post.

Of course Jesus died for sinners! But his precious blood remitted and blotted out our sins. I fail to see you point seeing everybody who has an appreciation for what Jesus came to do KNOW he died for sinners. Are you trying to say people aren't seeing that? I don't buy it. Sure they are.

Quite frankly no offence to that other poster but I don't have the slightest clue what they're upset about either. Anyway just let your heart rejoice Cherie that Jesus DOES receive you.

@Rockson , what are your thoughts on John 6:44: “ No one can come to Me unless the Father who has sent Me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.” ( MEV)

It is apparent that there were those who came to Jesus temporary but left afterwards ( see John 6:66).

It is also the case the disciples here did not leave and Simon proclaimed his faith in Jesus in verses 68 and 69. Yet Judas also was in their ranks and the disciples didn’t recognize that Judas would later betray Jesus.

What is going on in this text?

I think it comes down to what I had said before. The Father does draw people some choose to respond positively but Jesus wasn't giving the full and absolute end result here of those to whom the Father would draw. He tells us about it in other places that men need to also endure and remain steadfast. Matt 24:13 But this still remains a truth. The Father draws and the Son will raise up such ones in the last day.

just wanted 2 point out Isaiah 66:6 & John 6:66 have something in common In the case of Isaiah he is destroying his enemys in John they gave up on his teachings

It's paradoxical, but I reflect on the fact my feeling of insufficiency comes from recognizing myself to be insufficient. If I was comfortable in my sin or overly proud of myself, I would think I have no need for God.

But I know I need God and understand He promised I would feel this way. This comes from having faith.

I believe in Jesus. The doubts that have often come up is a questioning of the genuineness of my own faith. I’ve had the question of could I think I believe but be deceived about believing.

It says in Jeremiah 17:9:
“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:9‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I’m not sure how I should interpret this verse from Jeremiah.

The book of 1 John I don’t understand fully. Some verses feel reassuring but other verses are not so comforting.

I want to know Jesus love for me. I have trouble with trusting him fully. I get worried he may turn me away . Still I never seen Jesus in the gospels reject or turn away a person who came to him sincerely which I have found comfort in.
As I said, this is a topic that requires much discussion and prayer with elders. Do you attend church?
