You have no idea what my view of faith is.
I can only judge your view if you express it. If I ask for it and you do not express it you do not have one, though in your mind you think you do, there is no action so it does not exist in practice.

You haven't asked for it.

His life flows out of my new creation in Christ and this life "transforms" me to live in obedience to the law of Christ in me.
So you walk in righteousness, I mean you love your neighbour as yourself, you love your enemy, you love God with all your heart strength and might.

Or do you still fail to do these things? Or do you not know?

Ok..for the at least 7th time..this is what I believe about righteousness ..how we live out the righteousness in us....which would show in good works in many different ways..

Here is how righteousness manifests to a believer....throug the knowledge of what Christ has done...we need to be righteousness conscious...not sin-conscious...we have a new creation in Christ now!

Awake to who you are in Christ!..Awake to righteousness..when you see who you are in Him in your new man..you become like Him outwardly.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

Hebrews 5:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.

Romans 5:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 54:14 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] "In righteousness you will be established; You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; And from terror, for it will not come near you.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NASB)
[SUP]21 [/SUP] He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

When you see who you are in Christ because of His finished work...you become outwardly in behavior what you are truly like in your new inner man where Christ dwells..

So you walk in righteousness, I mean you love your neighbour as yourself, you love your enemy, you love God with all your heart strength and might.

Or do you still fail to do these things? Or do you not know?

I have asked. I pictured an atheist with a believer and said what is the difference.

What is the difference in behaviour and why?
That's right, that's what you asked me.

The scriptures call it the gospel of Christ...grace of Christ..grace of God..the gospel of His Son...gospel of peace....gospel of God..Paul even called it his gospel...gospel is called the power of God...Christ's gospel...gospel of the glory of Christ...the truth of the gospel...gospel of your salvation...mystery of the gospel...on and on it goes...there are many ways to say it.

The finished work of Christ means that He has done everything for us in our salvation. It is finished!..His life was obedient and I am in Him...His life flows out of my new creation in Christ and this life "transforms" me to live in obedience to the law of Christ in me.

it's all Him and His life in us that changes us to be who we already are in our inner man created in righteousness and holiness...I written many times about how we are sanctified in our behavior.

This verse sums it up....It is all Christ and He finished everything...we just walk in out what He has obtained for us.It's glorious! He is an awesome Lord and Savior!

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP]For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
[SUP]9 [/SUP]not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

by grace you have been saved = perfect passive

Perfect tense = The perfect tense has to do with the completed progress of an action and its corresponding finished results. That is, it shows in a continuous present state based upon an action in past time

Passive voice = something is acted upon you - you are not doing the action

Hi grace777x70,

And yet knowhere is it called ''the gopsel''''of the grace'''of Christ' Yes we understand grace, and yes as I have told you before I believe my salvation is all of grace :) amen. infact read my signature at the bottom of this post (Matthew Henry).

you said this above:::

The finished work of Christ means that He has done everything for us in our salvation. It is finished!..His life was obedient and I am in Him...His life flows out of my new creation in Christ and this life "transforms" me to live in obedience to the law of Christ in me.

Yep, we are in Christ, and yes he was obedient, and yes we are new creations in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit and this leads to a transformed life. This does not mean you are totally transformed in the here and now. Yes, we are perfected in christ and yes when the Father see's us he see's his son's completed work..no one denies that even though the hyper grace accuse peole of it..

but heres the crux. are you always obedient? now obviously this cannot be as that would mean you are already glorified. if you say yes I am spiritually but it is just the flesh sinnig then you have a wrong view of who you are. that would be like saying 'Yes' my flesh punched my boss in the face, but don't worry it wasn't me in Christ!!!!

Can I ask you a question, this will help us all to understand your position..

Who lives your christin life? (this is all part of the good news of Jesus Christ and the special grace he has shown his sheep)

Let me break down this language. Sin conscious is being aware when you commit sin, and then take steps to put things right.

Righteous conscious would be to recognise you have done a righteous act and then do what, praise the Lord.
Trouble is if you do no righteous acts you are not aware of anything.

Or do you mean be aware of needs that you can meet and then meet them.

Now none of these things you have actually mentioned so you mean something else.

Being aware of sin or obligation is what your conscience does for you. You appear to be denying your conscience as you are denying a primary function of this in your life.

So I do not see anything scriptural or beneficial in your descriptions.

Do you mean you have the fruits of the spirit, joy, patience, love, self control, etc. Again you do not mention this either.

So you are 100% unclear.

Yeah, and we have thousands of years of recorded history to remind us of how well mankind did at that.

.....enter Jesus Christ.

I won't answer for another, but for myself it is Christ who lives the Christian life. The Christian life IS Christ, and only He can live it.

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." Galatians 2:20

[SUP]24 [/SUP] "But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

As we know the gospel of Christ and God are the same thing.

Galatians 1:6 (NASB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;

here gospel is called the grace of Christ..same thing..

As far who lives the Christian life..It's Christ in me..and me relying on the faith of Christ and His life in me.

It is summed up it this verse..

Galatians 2:20 (NASB)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

That's right, that's what you asked me.
As I said before, you do not want to say what you faith is because you do not have one.
Why are you so shy about what you believe? Is this how you witness your faith to others?

For whatever reason, your experience in Christ must have confused you so much you are scared to let your light shine, unless ofcourse your light is not actually on.

So Jesus lives your life..are you sure you want to blame God for your sinning? that momentary lustful glance, or for a split second road rage or even breaking the law by breaking the speed limit..are you positive it is Christ in you living that for you?

All of us have the fruits of the Spirit in us as new creations in Christ...some more developed then others....but it's His fruit that comes forth from us because of our union with Him...we are the branch and it is His "sap" of life that grows the fruit in us.

Hi grace777x70,

The gospel of the grace of God.... in Pauls view is different to what you have in view and what you have expressed...the 'gospel 'of the grace' of Christ' in regards to his finished work and in the life of the believer (but i do give you credit for having the perseverene to find Acts 20 ;) (in hindsight that was probably unfair of me and a bit sneaky which in debate shouldnt hppen) But, this is the whole point i am getting at and as you can see I agree with almost everything you say, you cant see that.. but the gospel is not a one time event in the believers life...thats the other point I was trying to get you to answer.. It will help us all as understand what it is you are actually trying to say... in regards to the christian life..the gosel living life. its not just a one time event.

And yet a "better job" has never been good enough.

I dont mean to but in between your conversation (well I suppose I am lol), but don't you think this is where some misunderstanding comes in. None hyper grace people dont say that you gain righteousness through obeying the law..that is a right standing before God. (well, i have to correct that some actually do and their wrong).

its the age old apples and oranges James and Paul..we affirm both.
