Has anyone noticed how many hypocrites there are on the Internet? I do not go to Church, so I have no idea what they are like there, but so far, on another site I've been on, I was shocked - after a year of daily conversation and reading. Is this what Christianity has become? Are today's Christians becoming the modern day Scribes and Pharisees?

What did Jesus have to say to them? Plenty. When Jesus comes back will he find ANY faith on Earth? Are we in danger of becoming or even BEING the same?

I can find plenty of verses to back up what I am saying.

Your terminology is all over the place, but all Christians are hypocrites. We hate sin but we are sinners. Even though we are forgiven, we still stumble.

If you're interested in being a Christian, you should get to know Jesus and not rely so heavily on His flawed followers.

Ya we at times stumble, and try to repent. Now there is a lot of people who say they are Christian but they act like the world and doing sinful stuff which indeed are hypocrite. Jesus loves you and and gave His Son for everybody's sins, what we do is believe, repent and follow Christ.

As ambassadors of Christ, the thread is like a wake up call. We may be flawed but we have the holy spirit to be as He is.
"by this they will know you are my disciples, that you love one another as I have loved you"
Powerful Words, but "hey we're flawed Jesus", no justification in that statement other than self justification.
We can always do better, but unless we hear what the world says what they see about us, we delude ourselves with a holier than thou attitude.

Raina, I am a Christian Follower of Christ. I was a Christian all my life, due to the way I was raised. However the power of above came into my life six years ago, which is different.

Yes we are sinners. I sin. I know when I do. And I know there is forgiveness with our God through Jesus Christ the Messiah.
But this has to do with love. The greatest commandment given to us by God. Love of God and love of "neighbour".
First has to be defined - what is love. Not egotistical, thats different, temporary. Conditional and selfish.
Jesus said, because of the increase in lawlessness, the love of the many will grow cold.

To answer your questions:

Yes.. Yes.. Yes, but there will be many to whom he will say "I never knew you." ...No. I believe God had a reason to split his church into divided factions. It is to reveal who the treacherous, foul-mouthed, insensitive and dispicable ones are who call themselves christian as they curse their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Just my opinion :)

Your a Godsend. Preach it, the heart of the Gospel is love, even more so by the whole essence of life in Christ before all began.
May God keep blessing you with the greatest revelation to be found, God is love and we as His children are as He is of that same unconditional love.

Thankyou.
Follow Christ. And what does it say about following Him? Well I was reading it in the Book of Mark today. If I remember rightly, we are to obey the commandments, the greatest being to love our God and love our "neighbour", and to give up all we have, and follow Him - including our riches?

Hey, your 15 years old, God bless you!

It doesn't matter how old you are, in or out of the church, people are what they are & it is what it is. A shame. I do my best to love everyone unconditionally. However, if you're having a bad day & you don't say hi, could this be taken as hypocrisy?
We will all need to deal with our own judgement, it's not our place to call people out. We treat others as we want to be treated and if they cannot do so in return, pray for them, and let it go. We must be forgiving no matter how difficult. (and yes, I grit my teeth as I say this.)

Yeah. I find, all my life I've been able to be humble. But it's hard. I usually make people higher than myself, as in, I almost bow down to them. But people can see me as weak, so say things they would not dare say to others.
Your right though, we do have to forgive.

But its hypocrites that get me angry, because they preach on about Jesus and put on this great face in public, but behind "closed doors" they are not like that. I've seen it. And it puts those they have hurt - off.

OK try this... There is no love in sin... And there is no sin in love.. God says if our love is made perfect we will walk as he did!.. The only reason I still sin is I NEED MORE LOVE !!! 5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
To say all are hypocrates and all sin, is also not true, do I know everybody in the world? Then i am a bit presumptious am I not? Who says there are no single person in this world that Truly Loves God as God wants to be loved,,, Somebody like this... 6That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

I believe GOD STILL GRANTS THIS TODAY!!!!! And these people are....17Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
The whole Body of Christ are all these people, just strive to be one of them and FOLLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT.. He leads you INTO THIS BODY! Continue to repent...UNTIL JESUS LIVES IN YOU! May God bless us with this obedience to the faith... AMEN!
