Yes.

Here is Hebrews 1.

Hebrews 1:1-14 KJV - God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by [his] Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son [he saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, [even] thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
what does this part mean to you, concerning WHO Jesus is [from Your Verses You Posted Hebrews 1:1-14]?
God is telling Jesus:
But unto the Son [he (GOD) saith], Thy throne, O God, [is] for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Consider the reaction of some of the Jewish leaders after Jesus said, "...........Before Abraham was, I AM" (John 8:58b)

They picked up stones in an attempt to kill Him, because they thought He committed blasphemy by claiming to be God. More to the point, they knew that He had just invoked one of the titles of God Himself, specifically what He said to Moses through the burning bush, "I AM WHO I AM" (cf. Exodus 3). So for the Jews, it wasn't just that Jesus claimed to be God, but that He also used one of God's Divine titles.

If Jesus is not God, then those Jews wouldn't have thought He was blaspheming.

If I may again enter into this conversation, @JacobMartinMertens, I’d like to add a few things regarding the Trinity and God’s love. Let’s look at John 3:16, to begin with:

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Please consider that it was God Himself who came to earth and became man and died on that Cross for you. Think about God’s immense love and grace and mercy! In Philippians ch. 2, it is written:

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Philippians 2:5-11 (KJV)

Jesus Christ is God, the second person of the Trinity, and He is called the Son of God.

Why did God Himself come down? . . .so that sinful man could be saved and have eternal life.

For God so loved the world. . .
Remember that God so loved the world that He sent His Son.

See John 17:5.

Jacob, if you believe Jesus is the word of GOD you must also believe that he is GOD. As written in then scripture that you know;

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

John was a very close disciple to Jesus and knew him well, he understood these things as it was revealed to him, if you do not believe what we say at least believe scripture.

Follow the light, Blessings.

Hello.

It says, and God was the word.

John 1:1 TR - Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ λόγος καὶ ὁ λόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν θεόν καὶ θεὸς ἦν ὁ λόγος

My first birth came from my parents coming together and becoming one. That's only possible cause Adam and Eve,who came from Adams rib were one.
I'm literally, physically one from two people.

My second, spiritual birth came from Two Who are also one.Just as Adam and Eve were one.
The first was the Spirit of the Lord who came from Mount Sinai. He called me to repentance.
The second came from Jesus and his sacrifice on the cross.
Through the water, and the blood I'm one.
Both physically and spiritually.
I am confused. I have no idea what you are saying.

Do a search and you will discover which Bible translation was used.
Or you could just tell me. I did a search but I don't know if the match is what you are referring to.

John 1:14 NIV - The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

I think there might be something that you are missing. You are dealing with Hebrew, Greek, and English. I don't believe that Jesus ever said, "I AM", but even if He said, "I am", as many times we find I am statements in the gospels, it does not need to be Him claiming divinity or being God the Father (the Father who is God). Maybe God is Jesus' Father.

As I understand it, the Bible speaks of 4 'different' Jesuses that we need to 'juggle' in our understanding.

The 'first' Jesus is the Jesus refererred to in John 1, where it says, 'In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God'. Here, Jesus is described as being the One through whom all things were made (Genesis 1).

The 'second' Jesus is the Jesus in the Gospels who is 'the Word that became flesh and dwelled among us', the promised Saviour predicted in the Old Testament where God says 'I, myself will come and save them.

The 'third' Jesus is the Jesus we are talking to today as we worship Him, seated at the right hand of the Father, having ascended into Heaven after His resurrection.

And the 'fourth' Jesus is the one who will come to judge the living and the dead.

As Christians we do good in bearing those four aspects of Jesus in mind.

As for me, I have decided to believe the Bible that this Jesus is both my Creator and my Saviour. For me, this means that I feel I owe Him my life both physically and spiritually, and so I bow before Him and worship Him as my God.

God bless you. 🌻

I know that Jesus is a man and the Bible says that God is not a man.

I hope this helps you.

Peace.

I often reference the Berean Standard Bible. Often, but not always.

The unavoidable point of fact is that the Word was God; God took on flesh, and walked this world in the form of Jesus.

Okay.

But the Greek says God was the Word, after the Word was with God.
God took on flesh,
Do you have a verse for this? I don't know what you are referring to.
and walked this world in the form of Jesus.
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God like He Himself said when people accused Him of saying that He is God.

In the Incarnation, Christ was made temporarily lower than the angels. Jesus, as a man, came to die for the whole world.

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Jeepers, Jacob, it's all there in John 1:1 + John 1:14. God was the Word, the Word was God, what really is your problem thinking there is a difference between which way it is said??? Either way it is clear your blindness prevents you from seeing that THE WORD WAS GOD.

John 1:1 + 14a
:). THE WORD WAS GOD, and became flesh to dwell among us in the form of Jesus.

Yes. He came from heaven where He was with God.
