I read you loud and clear Angela...some of us are not making excuses for his behavior,...we are wondering why others get banned and some seem to get a hall pass....especially on certain threads.....and are just as misguided and use the same words as denadii....but mask their comments and attitudes behind moral superiority, shallow self-righteousness....and Bible verses....

He crossed a line...

there seems to be a certain number who cross the line several times and the "perception" is nothing happens...and to be honest, it also seems to be the ones that get banned, even if they deserve it, are ones that are not reformed Calvinist believers...and the ones that are only "perceived" to get a free pass are....
Maybe ppl aren't reporting their posts and the mods don't know about it?

News flash

He ain't on the cross or laying in some tomb.

He is risen.

This will make you mad;
" I AM THE RESURRECTION"
Redemption is centered up totally in the Cross of Christ. While everything else after the Cross, the Resurrection, Ascension, and Exaltation of Christ, played a tremendous part, and continues to play a tremendous part, the truth is, all of this is made possible, the Resurrection, Ascension and Exaltation of Christ, because of the Cross.

Victory = The Cross of Christ, i.e., The Blood of Jesus, i.e., The Finished Work

Brother P4T's nickname is Pinata...when he comes in, everybody takes a whack at him.
This is because he believes he can dish it out, but can never take it...so he hides behind scripture and self-righteous indignation and flies under the radar....people like him may fool many, but not a few of us....who he has attempted to run off....

I actually took that as a compliment. But I have been wrong before. I try to give ppl the benefit of the doubt, because we can't read facial expressions on message boards.

With all the negativity here I may have misconstrued her post.

My apologies to oldthennew.

You are misaligning him. That is not him at all. Just because he calls ppl to the carpet, makes him none of that you are calling him. If you don't like his posts, put him on ignore. Just like I am you now. :)

How do you figure the cross is the finished work?
Paul said:

“For Christ sent me not to baptize
(presents to us a Cardinal Truth), but to Preach the Gospel (the manner in which one may be saved from sin): not with wisdom of words (intellectualism is not the Gospel), lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect. (This tells us in no uncertain terms that the Cross of Christ must always be the emphasis of the Message.)

For the Preaching (Word) of the Cross is to them who perish foolishness (Spiritual things cannot be discerned by unredeemed people, but that doesn’t matter; the Cross must be preached just the same, even as we shall see); but unto us who are saved, it is the Power of God. (The Cross is the Power of God simply because it was there that the total sin debt was paid, giving the Holy Spirit, in Whom the Power resides, latitude to work mightily within our lives.)

“But we preach Christ Crucified (this is the foundation of the Word of God, and thereby of Salvation), unto the Jews a stumblingblock (the Cross was the stumblingblock), and unto the Greeks foolishness (both found it difficult to accept as God a dead Man hanging on a Cross, for such Christ was to them).

“And I, Brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom (means that Paul depended not on oratorical abilities, nor did he delve into philosophy, which was the rage of that particular day), declaring unto you the Testimony of God (which is Christ and Him Crucified).

“For I determined not to know anything among you (with purpose and design, Paul did not resort to the knowledge or philosophy of the world regarding the Preaching of the Gospel), save Jesus Christ, and Him Crucified.” (That, and that alone, is the Message which will save the sinner, set the captive free, and give the Believer perpetual victory [I Cor. 1:17-18, 23; 2:1-2].)

Paul also said, “But God forbid that I should glory (boast) save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (what the opponents of Paul sought to escape at the price of insincerity is the Apostle’s only basis of exultation), by Whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” (The only way we can overcome the world, and I mean the only way, is by placing our Faith exclusively in the Cross of Christ, and keeping it there [Gal. 6:14).)

The Apostle Paul said:

That I may know him (referring to what Christ did at the Cross), and the power of his resurrection (refers to being raised with Him in "Newness of Life" [Rom. 6:3-5] ), and the fellowship of his sufferings (regarding our Trust and Faith placed in what He did for us at the Cross), being made conformable unto his death (to conform to what He did for us at the Cross, understanding that this is the only means of Salvation and Sanctification); If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead (This does not refer to the coming Resurrection, but rather the Believing sinner being baptized into the death of Christ [refers to the Crucifixion], and raised in "Newness of Life," which gives victory over all sin [Rom. 6:3-5, 11, 14] ). (Philippians 3:10-11 NKJV)

oh yeah, those trials and tribulations get tiresome after a while, but, guess what??,
i'll just wait around and see if I have the heart to cross' or even the desire to?!?!

we say that we Love Him, but how will He accept our loving/confession, without
an outward/inward sign from us? - we MUST 'change', from old to new, a life-long endeavor,
such a precious and welcome path, always accompanied by His helping hand,...

Maybe ppl aren't reporting their posts and the mods don't know about it?
I do not personally go running and crying to a mod, unless it is something real....like when I placed someone on ignore, told them I did...and he followed me thread to thread and kept replying to me...I warned him 3x to stop....his rely..I ignored him, but he does not have to ignore me....that's not right.....even then I told the mod not to ban him, but to see if he was doing it to others.....I do not know if they checked or not...but that seemed like a stalker to me...

Just because you disagree theologically with some one and things get into sword fights and you cut, does not mean you should go running and crying like a itty bitty baby with a boo-boo asking momma to kiss it all make the hurt all better....

Several do that here and then begin campaigns to sow discord and to discredit and destroy someone and have them removed.....the sneaky backhanded ways I have watched people do that here is just as bad as calling someone a plastic christian, which was way over the line...

In denadii's case, after reading some of his replies here,,,,,he did cross a line....

That said....there does seem to be a hypocritical theme played here..

Every Christian trusts the Lord and believes Him in some capacity. The trouble is, most do not trust Him or believe Him correctly.

You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:82

WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

The Truth that the Believer must have, is that the Cross and the Resurrection, which speak of the Finished Work of Christ, pertains not only to our initial Salvation experience, but as well to our everyday Victory over the world, the flesh, and the Devil. The Believer must understand the Truth that he was in Christ when Christ died on the Cross, was in Christ when He was buried, was in Christ when he was raised from the dead, and continues to be in Christ as He is now exalted at the Right Hand of the Father (Roman 6:3-5; Ephesians 2:6). Consequently, if Christ defeated Satan, that means the Christian has defeated Satan. If Christ atoned for all sin, then no sin can attach itself to the Believer, that is, if the Believer keeps trusting Christ (John 14:20). If Christ is a Law-keeper, than the Believer is a Law-keeper. If Christ is victorious, then the Believer is victorious.

The Believer must understand this, trust in this, believe this, and act upon it, even on a daily basis. This is what Jesus meant by us taking up the Cross daily and following Him (Luke 9:23).

This is the "Truth" which we must learn, act upon, and continue to act upon, which guarantees the help of the Holy Spirit.

If the Believer does not know and understand this "Truth" to simply tell him to "trust Jesus," will really not help him that much. It is the same as telling him that he must "get in the Altars." Without knowing this Truth, he won't really know why he is in the Altars.

In fact, he will be attempting to trust the Lord to do something for him, which in fact, has already been done. He will be attempting to have Faith in God for something, that's actually already taking place. He will be attempting to ask the Lord for something, which in reality has already been brought about.

From Jimmy Swaggart Bible Commentary

1. How can we renew our minds to truth and summit ourselves to fight the fight of faith to trust and believe?

2. How can the Believers will be swallowed up so that the Lord's will be done in us?

Is this being objective? or are you covering someone that believes just as you do.....I put him on ignore just a few minutes ago.....

On the works thread I call people on the carpet, as well, but he attacks me and the style I do it in, because I do not believe in any form of Calvinism.....That does not make me wrong and him the only truth telling call to the carpet saint as he and others try to pull off, does it?

Of course not, if I believed exactly as he does, then I would be one of his "brothers"

So after reflection on my emotional outbursts with him, someone has to be the spiritual adult between us, so I placed him on ignore just a few minutes ago....

Ahem...he is a 'him' not 'her'... :D :)

I think he and his wife must use that moniker then because I just saw for the first time today a "he" was using it, but in the past I heard her say she was a woman iirc. Then I wondered at that point why the moniker is in blue.

don't you find that no matter what, how bad something might be (and there is always worse or someone worse off) that when we bring it to Jesus...to God...somehow, some way, His Spirit does something in us to turn even the bitter sweet?

I don't know how He does it!

I think guarding our hearts is a part of it. Don't let the wisdom of the world take over, don't allow bitterness to take root, turn it all over to Him (not always easy and if someone says it is, then they are still in the shallow end of the pool)

just thinking out loud cause of what you posted
